I booked this hotel through the SPG telephone reservation and they told me I would get 50% off the rate if I used 1000 Starpoints. What the rep did not tell me was the rate he was describing was the full price rate and not the rate advertised on the SPG.com web site or any other travel site I reviewed when I booked the room. When I got my bill, I notified the hotel about the misunderstanding. However, they refused to do anything about it. As a result, I paid the same price for the room I would have with any other travel web site but now I am out 1000 Starpoints. This is a terrible way to end what was an exceptional visit to a nice hotel. I do not have time for this kind of hassle and they have now lost me as a customer.

Artived late, as noted on reservation. There is no SPG recognition for status, not even upgrade. Benefit not offered or explained upon check in, only here is your room key, after asking for ID and credit card and bed preference. Room key door was outdated, difficult to open. Room was decent, Air conditioning very noisy. The most disappointing part was we were given room just behind the elevator, where you can hear sound gushing machine of elevator whole night. Very dissatisfactory. quality of meals and lounge to be added.

Staff was friendly and welcoming upon arrival. My first room was adjacent to a room where someone was smoking when I first entered (could smell it before I put my bags down). Front desk immediately said they would book me into a new room on a different floor and offered to bring my new room keys. My new room was nice, but my profile specifies 'away from elevator and ice machine'. I was in room 901 which backs up to the elevator. My sleep was not that great because of the sporadic grinding of the elevator throughout the night.
I always order room service and the staff and food service is great. However, when I said 'thank you' to the person who took my order she responded with 'no problem'. I do have one thing that really bugs me. When I say "Thank you" to someone the LAST THING I should hear is "no problem". Why, why, why would someone in the customer service industry introduce the word "problem" into the customer service experience? Why don't you train them to say "your welcome", "glad to help", "my pleasure", "any time", "don't mention it". Almost anything is better than "no problem".

The location of this hotel is good. And the room is clean and nice. But the air conditioner is very noisy which is very annoying. FYI, there is no free in-room wifi. But the executive lounge room and lobby have free wifi.

We visited the Sheraton Westport for just one night with kids in tow. From arrival to departure, everyone we encountered was so friendly and genuinely interested in helping us have a nice stay. Check-in was easy and the agent, Leah, was so helpful and personable. She happily accommodated my request for a double queen room, even though I had mistakenly booked a king, and offered a drink voucher because she could tell we'd had a long day! So nice, and very much appreciated. The public areas and rooms are very well-kept and nicely updated; location is great in the heart of Westport Plaza, with several dining options. Everything was clean, clean, clean - rooms / beds were very comfortable and breakfast buffet was well-stocked in the AM. We have stayed in three Sheraton properties in the past couple of months, and I feel the brand is really making an effort to provide excellent customer service. Definitely will return!

The staff at this hotel exemplifies 'service', be it from the type of platinum room upgrade #choice given whether we wanted an upgraded room on the club floor or a suite on another floor#, the valets/ doorman #we could leave the car out front as we were going out again in an hour or we or they could park it for us# or the restaurant staff #very responsive and unobtrusive but always there when you wanted them# - definitely a place to recommend!

This is the first time, when checking in, that I have been asked if I wanted an upgraded room on the Club floor or if I wanted a suite on another floor (as the suites on the Club floor were not available) - definitely a good approach to the whole issue of platinum upgrades. The Club lounge on the top floor had fantastic views of the city and the appetizers, breakfast etc were good. When we checked in the doorman asked us when we needed the car again and when we said that we would want our car in an hour, he suggested leaving it with him out front instead of us (or them) parking it - once again offering a guest choices!
