Rated 5 out of 5 by Very Pleasant Stay We enjoyed our stay at the pet friendly Sheraton Oceanfront very much. All of the staff were very pleasant and never failed to be courteous. Our room more than met our expectations. We have stayed here in the past, but were even more pleased with the renovated hotel. July 16, 2013

The staff was very friendly and helpful -- from the registration to bellmrn to banquet staff to housekeeping. I really enjoyed my stay and look forward to returning. June 22, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Overall a GREAT stay! My family and I stayed here for a night while visiting Virginia Beach, VA. The girl that checked us in was VERY polite, and helpful. We ended up upgrading our room, because the traditional room was just too small for our family (we have a baby in a pack n play), so we ended up upgrading to a suite, the suite was SO nice, it was very spacious and we LOVED the room. It over looked the pool and the ocean, and was right across the hall from the indoor pool entrance. The hotel was quiet, and everyone was friendly. The lady that checked us in (forgot her name, sorry), was very helpful and answered any questions we had. The guy that checked us out, didn't seem to want to be working, or want anything to do with anyone, so I was NOT pleased with him, but overall we had a great stay!!!! There was construction going on out front while we were there but it didn't really make a lot of noise, or bother us, and was easy to get in and out of the hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking to stay in the Virginia Beach, area! <3 April 6, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by The staff needs more training The staff needs better training. I drove up to the door and waited for the valet to park my car. No one came out to help us; they were standing at the valet desk chatting. The housekeeping staff didn't replace the toiletries until we requested them. August 4, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Virginia Beach Stayed at Sheraton ocenfront several times over the years. We loved the improvements and renovations. Great job.. IWe had to cut our stay short because of the weather. The only thing I would comment on is the elevators were slow somewhat... Thanks August 18, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by This hotel is located in a quieter part of Va. Beach Location is great; easy to walk to restaurants and other shops. Enjoyed having a restaurant, bar, lunch and biking right at the hotel. If you did not want t eat in, you can walk to restaurants nearby. Staff was pleasant. Great fitness center. September 4, 2013

Rated 2 out of 5 Hotel is old and not up to Sheraton quality Old hotel, air conditioning did not work well, no movie chanel avilable on TV, room smelled musty. Would not upgrade our room for three evening stay even though a Platinum level with upgrade vouchers. October 11, 2012

Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice but... The hotel stay was very nice. Had an ocean front room in the off season and it was nice and relaxing to listen to the ocean while falling asleep and waking up. The room was not dirty or gross, but it also wasn't super sparkly either. Though for having just went through a multi million dollar renovation, it appears they may have skimped on the fixtures and such in the room. There isn't a towel rack in the bathroom, just a small flimsy hook that fell off as soon as I tried to take the towel off, the carpet didn't look like it have been replaced, and if it had they did a poor job installing it. Something left black grease streaks on the dust covers of the beds (looked like wheels had run it over) and we saw those same black marks on dust covers and even a duvee in the two other rooms our party was staying. However the banquet facilities were wonderful, the food was wonderful. We were staying for my company holiday party and had a great time. I just wonder if they really did put several million dollars of renovations in recently... it doesn't seem like much of that money went to the room fixtures. December 12, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best place in VA Beach for travel with dogs Had a wonderful 2-day stay just after labor day. Room was clean, staff were friendly and overall efficient. Appeared to be recently remodeled. We always travel with 2 dogs and this is probably the best overall we've been to for pet-friendly location and hotel experience. The 3rd floor (only floor where dogs are allowed) was full of pups during our stay and it seems like the rooms are sound-insulated, as we heard no other people noises and only a few quiet barks from other guests' pooches - and those through the door, not walls. Had a great dinner at the ocean front outdoor cafe, and although we didn't try it, did notice that the restaurant has a beautiful view. Walking distance to plenty of other restaurants, too. North side is also an easy drive to First Landing State Park, which has calmer water than the Atlantic and was great for swimming and walking the dogs. Bathroom is smaller than new hotels but finishes and cleanliness were great. Only downside was housekeeping just rotated the bed linens instead of changing them when we put the "please change" card on the bed. Everything else was excellent! September 8, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by My Kudos and Issues OVERALL, I'd like to thank Patrick and Bekah (front desk) and Marcus (valet) for the WONDERFUL service they provided during my stay!! They're attention to our needs and remarkable attitude made our stay pleasant, I would come back because of them. They were GREAT!!!! I had 2 issues with my stay this weekend. First, Valet closing at 11p, this is not posted in your handbook and I was taken aback when I was rudely informed by the night front desk clerk. Instead of him stating that valet is closed AND what the process would be to get my car, his approach was Valet is closed, period. After questioning him for several minutes, he finally stated that he could get my key and location of my car. Second, not sliding my closeout receipt under the door. I found it on the floor, called to front desk and was told due to renovation they stick the receipt in the crack of the door, because it will not slide under the door. WRONG!! I was able to slide the receipt under the door. There is pertinent information on our receipts, for security reasons, please allow a better way for customer to receive such a vital document, during this renovation. August 26, 2013
