Nice pool area, fitness center closed 2 of 4 days. Walking path full of goose droppings. Problems with A/C one night, wallpaper peeling, housekeeping skipped some things.

Hotel building is nice enough; back grounds are park-like. Pool looked nice enough. However, everywhere I looked, there were signs of a quick cosmetic overhaul to disguise problems. Wallpaper was bubbling everywhere, covering up underlying water leaks, it seemed. Some moldy black lines around ceiling in our particular room and in hallways. Room itself and bathroom was clean, bed comfortable, but small. Understaffed dining room with lame breakfast buffet. Not the SPG experience I have come to expect. My gold status was not acknowledged.

Workout room was disgusting. Look like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. Trash everywhere and dirty mats/floors. Broken equipment and not much of it.
Floors in guest room was completely filthy and stained.
No Starwood recognition and I had to ask about the points the next day.
Also, despite asking for a late checkout- housekeeping came to the door twice and the front desk disabled our keys.

hotel was nice. Lobby bar was a nice feature for parents at night. Girls loved the indoor - outdoor pool option.
only real negative was that the TV picture was poor.

Hotel is in good location with good proximity to restaurants, shopping,etc. Rooms are nicely sized and clean however could use some updating especially peeling wallpaper in some rooms and stains on rugs in others. Staff is very friendly and accomodating.The SPG club room breakfast could use a better selection of hot food. Grits, sausage and potatoes were only hot food offered. Despite the comments mentioned above, our overall experience was very good. We would return here .

I live most of my life at hotels and after a while it becomes very robotic. I just need a place to crash but what makes it nice is the service a little care that makes you feel right at home. I cannot help but mentioning that the young girl at the front desk (Brianna?) has been helping me check in and she has been one of the most courteous and pleasant person I have seen. She remembers my (not so easy) name and tries to keep everything ready before I get there. She has been very professional and it is always a pleasure doing business with her. I am also a fan of this nice lady at the club room (Sandy) who always tries to go an extra mile when I ask her something. I must say, it feels like a family and I thank you for having such dedicated employees here. Besides the service everything else is fairly good. I am sure there are better hotels in Richmond but none have the kind of staff you guys have. I opt to stay here despite my employer is willing to pay more for a better hotel and that tell it all. Thanks.

while the room was fine, the duvet cover should have been cleaned. Communication with the staff was difficult due to extremely heavy accent by the check in clerk. Hotel floor we were on was extremely noisy through the early morning hours. While told it was due to a booked wedding party, we could have been housed on a better floor. The buffet for breakfast was so overpriced we didn't partake

As I was completing my move from Pennsylvania to Midlothian. The date I arrived my apartment was supposed to be ready but there was an unexpected delay. I had to make emergency arrangements for many things. Thankfully the staff at the Sheraton, most especially Mariam, made this process very comfortable. Mariam recognized the stress of my situation and gave me access to the club lounge for breakfast each day. As well, when I would return or exit the hotel, she asked me how things were going and addressed me by name. She was very professional and spoke with a beautiful accent. I wish my employees were at her level of excellent customer service! The hotel was perfectly located for me and I was very comfortable. The only downside was that the bathroom was not as clean as I would have expected at check in. It was better from the second day through the end of my stay.
