Rated 2 out of 5 by Fine for one night, but better options elsewhere Uncomfortable Bed (way too soft), rooms were very dark, felt like a cheap old hotel from the 1980s. Frankly I was very surprised that this was a Sheraton. I would stay elsewhere next time. Front desk staff was very nice, hotel lounge bartenders were great, and the food ordered was tasty. Rated 1 out of 5 by Did not enjoy my stay The room i was placed in was cosidered OUT of ORDER. No head shower and the vent door was off the wall and the room was hot. The front desk should have known this information before placing me in that room then i had to wait to be moved after calling the front desk to let them know. December 8, 2011
Rated 2 out of 5 by Careless Staff/Expect Delays Room service took almost one hour to be delivered to my room. I was put on hold for 15 minutes to speak with a manager. There was no follow up from anyone. Hotel is good / location is excellent but dont expect anything from the staff, theya ct as if they are doing you a favor. November 25, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Remodel is absolutely gorgeous The colors are exquisite and loved the drapery and extra seating in room. I always tip the cleaning staff but surprised to see the shower head pointing toward the wall so one doesn't get a wet head. Buffet Saturday night was delicious and reasonably priced. Yummy tenderloin. October 7, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by This hotel is not sheraton quality The hotel was outdated. Not what you would expect from a Sheraton. The Club floor was not any better. My room was right next to the food serving area so very early you would hear dishes clanging around and people talking. The food was not good especially in the restaurant. November 18, 2011
Rated 2 out of 5 by Cold water I stayed in the hotel for two nights, and the entire time that I was there the water was ridiculously cold. Sure, one could call up the staff and an hour and a half later someone would show up. But one was basically required to run the water for an hour to get it warm. September 30, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel was very accommodating For the conference at the hotel, there were multiple, unrelated people accommodating each room. The cleaning staff prepared ahead to ensure we had plenty of towels, extra bars of soap and shampoo to go around, extra coffee cups and water cups and enough coffee packets and tea so we didn't have to request anything. The room was clean, beds were comfortable and it was quiet - even though we were 2 rooms away from the elevators. We were given a choice for the meals, and although they ran out of one of the choices for lunch, they accommodated those who couldn't have the choice that was left. The food was excellent - very tasty, tender meat, not too salty or bland. When we were dancing in the evening, realizing we were hot and thirsty, one of the servers arranged for ice water pitchers and dispenser without being asked. The conference facilities were roomy, in good condition and had comfortable chairs. Although there were areas in the lobby blocked off for construction, there was no construction sounds over our weekend stay. September 9, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Extra When we checked in to our room the TV remote would not work. We called for help, in just a few minutes Oscar appeared. He got our problem resolved he is a great staff member. When your shuttle picked us up a week later the driver was very helpful and friendly. November 27, 2011
Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice looking property Appearances can be deceiving: The hotel was pleasant, updated and clean.but the AC was terrible..the room I had never cooled down and in Houston's oppressive heat and humidity it made for a most unpleasant stay. June 3, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Really disappointing This experience failed every expectation I had from previous positive Sheraton experiences. The water was out for three hours (5-8pm) when I arrived, and I was unable to flush the toilet, wash my hands, or shower before dinner. When the water was turned back on it was cold and brown. The air conditioning was also not working (I was told it relies upon the water for proper circulation). I was not notified of these issues when I checked in. The staff at the front desk was very unfriendly: I didn't see a single smile during the course of my stay. The lobby was dingy and old looking. Drilling began promptly at 9am, waking me up after the planes kept me up quite late. Again, I was not informed that renovations were occuring when I checked in. The manager was not helpful, offered no compensatory services or discounts for any of these inconveniences, and was unable to even assist me in arranging a taxi or towncar for the next morning. The coffee and internet were good, but hardly a consolidation for all the other shortcomings... July 26, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by In hotel features During my stay, I never left the hotel due to the activites BFCA offered. Food was great and made it easy to stay put rather than fight the crowds at dinner. Was able to enjoy friends I had not seen in a relaxed and lovely atmosphere. May 4, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Disappointed Charged me for a toll free phone call! Trying to nickel and dime customers to find a way for lost revenue! What a shame... I have never yet to find a hotel that charges for toll free calls well until now... been traveling for business for 20 years. November 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by great location and service excellent customer service July 27, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Approaching dump status This place is approaching "dump" status. As hard as I try, I cannot possibly understand how the rates are so high. On the bright side, the staff is friendly and helpful. There's ample parking and it's a short drive from IAH terminals. That's about where it ends. I used SPG Suite Night Awards and was upgraded to a Studio Suite. Spacious, yes, but also worn down. Only a few lamps around (and one tiny window) means it was very dimly lit. Not enough light to do much but sit around. The bathroom was tiny (for such a huge room!)...so much so that you had to step back past the toilet to close/open the door. Come on, y'all! The lobby is stale, poorly lit, and while it might be clean, it feels very dirty. The purported "coffee shop" in the lobby consists of nothing more than one of those fancy auto-coffee machines where you press a button to get a latte, cappuccino, etc. Overall, this property seems a decade or more overdue for a renovation. The rates, like I said earlier, are ridiculously high for what you get. Next time, I'll stay across the street. February 9, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Disappointing in many ways The A/C was either ON or OFF in the room, there was no temperature control. The pillows were too firm and to use one your neck was at 90 degrees to the bed --hard to sleep that way. The bar could not find a clean glass -- very disgusting. November 18, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect stay, wish we could have stayed longer. We picked this hotel fit it's proximity to the airport & 24h shuttle service to accommodate our overnight & flight schedule. Everything was perfect and we will stay there again. Tks for the outstanding customer service and hospitality! December 29, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful staff I arrived very late on a cold rainy night and the check-in staff made me feel right at home immediately. I was upgraded to a very nice room and they even found apples in the kitchen for a late night snack. Much appreciated! November 27, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice renovated hotel near airport This is a very nice property near the airport. The renovations were great, and the staff was accommodating and friendly. The good was also good in the club lounge and of a high quality. I will definitely come back here. January 21, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Recent Stay Good location great to the airport, has obvious airport noise but it is OK as it is near the airport. Front desk and staff is always great and helpful and the renovations to bring it more modern are turning out great. July 24, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by How not to treat a Platinum Was informed I had been upgraded - great! Got to the room, normal room. Turned off the TV to go to sleep, guess what, elevator kept me up all night. Paid a really high rate for no sleep. Not the way to treat a Plat. January 23, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by airport coverage Airport pick up in early evening on recent trip was quite slow, and both the phone call answers and the driver seemed stressed out about this. Better coverage is necessary for an "airport" hotel. April 1, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by OK choice before an early flight, though some maintenance issues Our stay here was for a single night prior to a fairly early flight, and for the purposes of bed, dinner, and breakfast, this hotel was OK. Our king rooms were fairly typical of Sheraton in size and furnishings, though they also included a full-sized sofa which was welcome and comfortable. Carpet and furniture showed minor wear in the rooms while carpet and ceilings in the 10th floor corridor were heavily water-stained with several buckets to catch dripping water. The air conditioner in one room had a loud rattle which maintenance promptly fixed. Wireless service in the rooms was poor, though it was fine in the club lounge and lobby. Given the airport location, food options in the surrounding area were limited; the on-site restaurant was fine for dinner and despite being Mediterranean-themed, had a varied menu. The club lounge was accessible for soda, water, and coffee 24 hours and opened for breakfast at 6 on Saturday. Shuttle service to the airport runs on a schedule three times per hour and takes give or take 5 minutes depending on your terminal. Car parking at the hotel is free. December 19, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great location for travelers This hotel location is great. It offers a concierge floor with free breakfast & evening relaxation with light snack. Also, having access 24 hours to get water. The club floor is quiet. March 18, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very nice hotel choice close to iAH The staff is attentive and very helpful, you feel at home and the hotel has very nice new rooms and a very good lounge. June 11, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by overall a good experience Room #802 has a problem with the tub draining. Water builds up and takes a long time to drain leaving residue on feet and on the tub. I was too busy to make a formal complaint to the desk. January 20, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Quick week Did not spend much time at the hotel. worked long days. But after a 16 hour day it was a great place to grab some room service and a good nights sleep. May 5, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Experience I was in Houston for business and stayed here. I had a small issue with my room that the staff went above and beyond to correct. I will stay there again next time I am in Houston. November 25, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Hotel Temperature The temperature varied throughout the hotel. The lobby was freezing and the room was very muggy. The AC ran all night to keep the humidity down, but it was loud so I didn't sleep. November 4, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Terrible room service and restaraunt proximity On two separate occasions room service was ordered and it was incorrect. On the one occasion an attempt was made to eat out and nothing but fast food available. April 8, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice Renovation I generally stay at this hotel at least once a year. I have always like the rooms, but the recent renovation has made them even more appealing. I always feel at home here. January 20, 2014
