Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Stay! The room was clean and the bed comfortable. October 10, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Begining to show some age I have been staying at this location a couple of times a year for years and it appears it is time for some updating. Things in the rooms are starting to show their age including the beds that are not all that comfy after years of use. Good updates include a new gym and the Link but the rooms, the restaurant and pool need just a bit of tlc. Overall still a pretty good place to stay just not quite what it once was a few year ago. Rated 4 out of 5 by Great staff . Room very small and odd shape.Hotel hard to locate even with GPS.Poor parking location! September 26, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Stay! I cannot thank Bill (Night Mgr) and Lisa (Front Desk) enough for making my stay perfect! As a Platinium SPG member, I have been to many, many Starwood Properties all over the World... I know what I want, what I can have, and what I should come to expect! They made me feel like family, and I am looking forward to my next stay in this beautiful spot of the USA. Thank you again Bill & Lisa! September 25, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by The Best Thing About This Hotel Is....... The best thing about this hotel is the people that work there!! They always make me feel at home. Let's see...this trip specifically...Bill (manager), Betty (concierge), Kathy (congierge), Pam (bar), Mike (restaurant) and of course, Marie (driver)!!! See you in a few weeks! September 23, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by This hotel has amazing views For a relaxing romantic visit the Mahwah Sheraton is the perfect place. If your on the top floor in the Club Level. September 19, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by A great place to stay We were part of a wedding party which was to be held nearby. The hotel staff was fully briefed on the needs of the attendees to the wedding, coordinated beautifully with other arrangements which had been made like the transportation arrangements, and provided a wheelchair for my mother at a moments notice. All was much appreciated. September 19, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Comfortable hotel, quite isolated Short counter in bathroom doesn't extend to the walls - its too short to put your travel toiletries on, and they were keeping the hair dryer on the limited counter space in there. As a result, needed to put make-up on in main room, but there are no mirrors in any proximity of a counter/desk/table, so that is made very difficult too. Also, poor lighting outside of bathroom, meant doing your hair or make-up there was very tough. The hotel and room were quite clean and spacious. The hotel itself if quite isolated - probably good for a convention where you don't want your guests to go anywhere. Internet is not free. You MUST have a car there if you want to get anywhere. Train station is only about a 5 minute drive away, but there are no cabs to bring you back to the hotel from there and its too far to walk on the busy highway, and the hotel doesn't offer a shuttle to get you there or back. Rated 5 out of 5 by BEST IN BERGEN COUNTY One of my favorite hotels. The tallest building in the area, beautiful garden, large property, very friendly and helpful staff, great SPG recognition, beautiful club lounge with very courteous hostess. Felt like home. Highly recommended. You will enjoy this SPG property. It has a fun elevator ride with a beautiful view. Lots of birds live on the property and its located amongst a beautiful mountain range. Rated 2 out of 5 by Very dissappointing The hotel is beautiful and the facilities are great. However, we could hear EVERYTHING that went on in the room next to us! The walls must be made of paper! We could clearly hear all the conversations being had by the people in the room next to ours. We walked around our room whispering so our neighbors couldn't over hear us. This was awful! We felt like we had no privacy in our own room. September 13, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very nice hotel This hotel is very nice with big comfortable rooms. However, it is a "venue" hotel for weddings, bar mitzvahs, conventions, etc. So it can be noisy at night. September 12, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Alright stay I did not like my room, it was a corner room. It was really small. I just did not like it considering the fact that I am issues with tight spaces. I called the desk clerk and she was quite snobby and she told me the only other traditional room available has two queen beds. Since I was there with my partner i did not think this would be a good fit. Then I tried to turn tv on and to my suprise the remote did not work. I had to wait 30 minutes for a tech. Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel is beutiful The hotel was beautiful. Only down fall was the breakfast it could have had more variety of drinks instead of just coffee. I would recommend this hotel anyone September 12, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Comfortable Stay Sheraton Mahwah Hotel is a beautiful building--inside and out. Spacious parking lot. Room we had was nice and clean. When we called for extra towels service people provided to us asap--awesome! Thanks for a wonderful stay. September 9, 2012

Rated 2 out of 5 by Unsatisfactory This hotel has great features, But the room i stayed in was unsatisfactory. For the price i paid and being the that bathroom sink was clogged up and took about 20 minutes for it to drain. I was unhappy with this room. August 29, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by General Exelent rooms, food and personnel Would recommend to anyone to stay August 22, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Noise and bathtub cleanliness issues We stayed at the Mahwah hotel for a short weekend trip. We were placed in a room with a connecting door to an adjacent room. Unfortunately, we had very noisy neighbors that went on late into the night and started again around 6am in the morning (which really sounded like there were 10 people in the room). Definitely did not have a restful sleep despite the fact that we are a fan of Sheraton's sleeper bed. The hotel needs to better sound-proof their rooms or try not to give rooms with these connecting doors to unrelated parties. The other thing is that we found blond hair tangled around the bathtub drain plug (and neither of us are blond)...they need to pay more attention to cleaning rooms. I am only "recommending this hotel" as the location is convenient, and the pool is nice, but I hope they can address the noise and cleanliness issues. August 18, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Out in Middle of NoWhere About as good as you get in Mahwah, which isn't saying that much. Average hotel in the middle of no where. Food is mediocre and expensive but you are captive audience. Staff was friendly, robotic, but not engaging. August 18, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by in decline In no less than 75 nights at this hotel and rental of Kilmer A or B more than a dozen times over the years I think I am qualified to realize that this hotel has slipped. Housekeeping and Starwood Club recognition leading the way. Coffee, tissues absent in the room, No upgrade at checkin in a less than full facility. August 15, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by the view from the window is the best the hotel is very nice the service is great and fast when you arive the rooms with view to the front makes the stay feel your on a airplane looking at niagre falls August 15, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Presentation I highly recommend this Hotel. From it's decor in the lobby and in the rooms. The service you get is treated well. August 15, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Hotel is a easy location My experience with the Sheraton has always been outstanding, I have one request placing items in the bathroom could be expanded, also many other Sheraton Hotels provide points for those who go GREEN. This Sheraton does not.. Everyone likes a little reward when asking them to recycle or reuse the bedding and/or towels. Just helps out with the efforts that Sheraton is promoting. August 13, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great experience Came in for a wedding and really loved this place. Great room; lots of space, nice amenities, comfortable bed/pillows...Overall a very nice, new hotel. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely stay here again and might start using Sheraton hotels to see if they're all this nice! August 12, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful Platinum Suite Upgrade Platinum members get suite upgrades, and I got the upgrade of a lifetime, to the Presidents Suite. In 2001 I got married and as a member of the same standing as I am now, I asked for an upgrade to a suite, and I was told there were not any in the hotel. Apparently this suite was a well kept secret until recently. Well I am glad the secret is out now, I just wish I could have got the same upgrade on our wedding night! August 12, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by the hotel has a beautiful garden We were comfortable, happy, and very impressed with the atmosphere, August 12, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Blood on towel I went to take a shower the morning of my departure (was only there for one night), and when I pulled out the towel, there was red blood all over it. Looked like either the cleaning staff didn't discard it or that a previous occupant rolled up a bloody towel to make it look like it hadn't been used. Either way, it was disgusting. The bar area is small and not inviting, wanted to watch the Olympics but the picture on the tube (not flat screen) TV was fuzzy. Breakfast buffet was OK but completely overpriced for the quality level. August 11, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by The hotel is so beautiful! The Sheraton Wahwah is so nice! We were greeted by a very nice person at the front desk. (Lisa) We had asked for a special room with extra amenties. She was aware of all the items and gave us a very nice room. The lobby is so well maintained and beautiful. Just wanted to sit and relax there all day! Thanks for a great stay! August 6, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by The hotel overall was good Truth is, upon checking in and going to mu junior suite my wife and I walked into the bathroom and found long hair on the floor and the garbage was full and smelly. It was a corner room so the wifi only worked by the door. I notified the front desk and was moved (with no courtesy of upgrade for what happen, wife was little disgusted by what she saw) The pool was great warm and fun. (besides the 2 water bugs i pulled out) I would come again if I had too. But hopefully to get a great clean room at check in. August 3, 2012
