I did not like my room, it was a corner room. It was really small. I just did not like it considering the fact that I am issues with tight spaces. I called the desk clerk and she was quite snobby and she told me the only other traditional room available has two queen beds. Since I was there with my partner i did not think this would be a good fit. Then I tried to turn tv on and to my suprise the remote did not work. I had to wait 30 minutes for a tech.

Sheraton Mahwah Hotel is a beautiful building--inside and out. Spacious parking lot. Room we had was nice and clean. When we called for extra towels service people provided to us asap--awesome! Thanks for a wonderful stay.

This hotel has great features, But the room i stayed in was unsatisfactory. For the price i paid and being the that bathroom sink was clogged up and took about 20 minutes for it to drain. I was unhappy with this room.

We stayed at the Mahwah hotel for a short weekend trip. We were placed in a room with a connecting door to an adjacent room. Unfortunately, we had very noisy neighbors that went on late into the night and started again around 6am in the morning (which really sounded like there were 10 people in the room). Definitely did not have a restful sleep despite the fact that we are a fan of Sheraton's sleeper bed. The hotel needs to better sound-proof their rooms or try not to give rooms with these connecting doors to unrelated parties. The other thing is that we found blond hair tangled around the bathtub drain plug (and neither of us are blond)...they need to pay more attention to cleaning rooms. I am only "recommending this hotel" as the location is convenient, and the pool is nice, but I hope they can address the noise and cleanliness issues.

About as good as you get in Mahwah, which isn't saying that much. Average hotel in the middle of no where. Food is mediocre and expensive but you are captive audience.
Staff was friendly, robotic, but not engaging.

In no less than 75 nights at this hotel and rental of Kilmer A or B more than a dozen times over the years I think I am qualified to realize that this hotel has slipped. Housekeeping and Starwood Club recognition leading the way. Coffee, tissues absent in the room, No upgrade at checkin in a less than full facility.

My experience with the Sheraton has always been outstanding, I have one request placing items in the bathroom could be expanded, also many other Sheraton Hotels provide points for those who go GREEN. This Sheraton does not.. Everyone likes a little reward when asking them to recycle or reuse the bedding and/or towels. Just helps out with the efforts that Sheraton is promoting.

Came in for a wedding and really loved this place. Great room; lots of space, nice amenities, comfortable bed/pillows...Overall a very nice, new hotel. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely stay here again and might start using Sheraton hotels to see if they're all this nice!

Platinum members get suite upgrades, and I got the upgrade of a lifetime, to the Presidents Suite.
In 2001 I got married and as a member of the same standing as I am now, I asked for an upgrade to a suite, and I was told there were not any in the hotel. Apparently this suite was a well kept secret until recently. Well I am glad the secret is out now, I just wish I could have got the same upgrade on our wedding night!

I went to take a shower the morning of my departure (was only there for one night), and when I pulled out the towel, there was red blood all over it. Looked like either the cleaning staff didn't discard it or that a previous occupant rolled up a bloody towel to make it look like it hadn't been used. Either way, it was disgusting.
The bar area is small and not inviting, wanted to watch the Olympics but the picture on the tube (not flat screen) TV was fuzzy.
Breakfast buffet was OK but completely overpriced for the quality level.

The Sheraton Wahwah is so nice! We were greeted by a very nice person at the front desk. (Lisa) We had asked for a special room with extra amenties. She was aware of all the items and gave us a very nice room. The lobby is so well maintained and beautiful. Just wanted to sit and relax there all day! Thanks for a great stay!

Truth is, upon checking in and going to mu junior suite my wife and I walked into the bathroom and found long hair on the floor and the garbage was full and smelly. It was a corner room so the wifi only worked by the door. I notified the front desk and was moved (with no courtesy of upgrade for what happen, wife was little disgusted by what she saw)
The pool was great warm and fun. (besides the 2 water bugs i pulled out)
I would come again if I had too. But hopefully to get a great clean room at check in.

In May 2012 my boyfriend and I did not have the best experience at the hotel between long waits at the restaurant, broken elevator, not getting the room we asked for, a/c broken, etc. We were not happy at all. I filled out the hotel's survey after our stay and they offered us a 2nd chance and complimentary stay on them. At first we were hesitant to return, but upon our arrival they placed us in a junior suite and it was great! Super comfy bed, clean, great view, and we loved our room's layout. They really redeemed themselves and we are now happy customers! They didn't have to do this, but the hotel staff really cared to make sure we were satisfied.

the staff was more than accomodating. The room was very clean the beds were so comfortable. we stayed at the hotel for a soccer tournament. the restaurant in the hotel did not have a children's menu which would have been nice. but the food was very good. maybe if they could add a more casual dining for kids would be good.

As part of a wedding, we stayed at the Mahwah Sheraton. Not only were we in a festive mood, but there were other wedding parties that just added to our great mood. Great hotel and responsive staff! (Breakfast the next AM after a late night also hit the spot!)

I stayed overnight at the Sheraton Mahwah for a wedding on June 29, 2012. The room was nice and clean and the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. The catering and food were superb for the wedding reception. I was disappointed that the pool water was warmer that the Jacuzzi. Also, in the room I would have liked to have had drawers in the bedside tables and a refrigerator. Towel racks in the bathroom would have been a nice touch. What ever happened to the coffee carafe? The coffee maker only makes one paper cup at a time. This room was fine for one night but I wouldn't recommend it for an extended stay.

If you find yourself in this neck of the woods, this is your best choice for certain. It's an awesome property in terms of the size and spaciousness of the hotel.
Rooms are nice, the Club lounge is very comfortable and the service is typically on par. The fitness room is up to date and the indoor pool and spa are always clean.
I've stayed in several different rooms and while they sometimes feel dated, they are always clean, the internet works well and the Sweet Sleeper beds are great.
The on-property dining choice leaves something to be desired. The food options are limited and there is not a lot to do in the area, unless you plan on driving. The parking is not the most convenient, but it is free.
Overall they do a nice job, I always receive an upgrade to Club level, a choice of amenities, free high-speed internet and a good value.

I stayed at this hotel for three nights for business. I woke up the first night @ 2:18 AM because it was 75 degrees in my room and the air wasn't working. I contacted the front desk and they told me nobody was on duty. So I contacted the front desk again at 7 AM, 4 PM, & 11 PM to get the AC working. After the forth call and my problem still not fixed, they told me the tech was leaving for the night but stopped by my room on his way out. After removing the AC panal, he told me the AC wasn't circulating so he fixed it. He was really a nice guy and apoligized for the inconvience. Of course, an hour after he left, the AC stopped working once again. Later I found our it was the AC on the entire 15th floor. Such a small thing as working AC made this stay aweful!

I have back problems so I called to the hotel to inquire any information possible about the mattress used in this chain.I visited a Sheraton near home where I was allowed to briefly try lying on a mattress to evaluate if the mattress would work for my needs. My husband, who has no back problems, and I found the mattress way too soft. We are not large people, but the mattress sagged even just sitting on it. I went to bed feeling fine and awoke (only able to sleep for 4 hours due to discomfort)
in pain. When I went to the front desk in the morning to inform them, both the desk clerk and the manager seemed disinterested and had nothing to say. I will certainly not stay here again.

I stay here as it is a corporate preferred, however, as a single female traveler, I will tell you I feel uncomfortable here. The hotel is big and designed for conventions. When there is not a convention, however, it feels like a ghost town. The parking lot is far from the check-in area and there is no valet. You cannot walk to any restaurant, shop or town-based location from here. Just not the homey feel I look for in a hotel.

The hotel facilities are fine. However, I was placed in a room next to very noisy service elevators, and where I could hear far too much of what was going on in the adjoining room. I asked for a change, but was told nothing was available. I was at the hotel mulitple nights, but no follow up.
