Rated 5 out of 5 by Customer service was great Front desk agent was very understanding & helpful to reassign a room at 10 p.m. After our experience with very noisy neighbors. We were trying to sleep after a long day on the road, the agent was empathetic to our situation & in no time she found a quiet, non-connecting room on the same floor. We had a great night's sleep! Rated 2 out of 5 by needs improvement The room didn't have a microwave and refrigerator to start with until asked. The heater was one in corner and we had to keep at 90 for heat to come till bed. The hotel is not accessible by foot to even nearest restaurant and shuttle is once a day. The rates are than other hotels of same class and despite high rate even breakfast is not complimentary. Rated 4 out of 5 by Pleasantly Pleased This Mahwah Sheraton is positioned like an island unto itself. My husband and I were on the 21st floor which felt like setting a bed in the clouds. It was beautiful. Picturesque mountains and sparkling lights at night. We were pleasantly surprised and pleased. The 2 night stay was very restful and enjoyable. Great on-site restuarante. Rated 3 out of 5 by A little tired and understaffed I found the hotel was nicely situated on a beautiful parcel of land but was tired and understaffed. I tried to set up a wake up call but the guest services line was never answered. During the night it seemed that the hvac system shut off and the room became very stuffy. It turned on and off erratically and never maintained a constant temperature. September 30, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Business Features work well in this hotel I traveled here for a business trip, and the features of this hotel were close to my office at home. Printer, WiFi and a large desk area to complete assignments in the evenings, made it easy for my team and I to finish work and then enjoy the amenities. Not only is the location beautiful, but functional too. August 11, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by No advance info - Club Lounge Close We expected to see a nice view from the Club lounge with your great variety of Eve Hors D Oeuvres, but informed lounge closure upon check-in. We were so disappointed. If this was scheduled, hotel guests, esp who booked the Club floor, should have been informed in advance. Best, HT September 2, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Ho-Hum Hotel Hotel is out in middle of no where. Not possible to walk to anything. Restaurant food and service is mediocre at best. Front Desk did recognize me with free drink coupon but waiter took it and then charged me for drink anyways until I pointed it out. Shower head was broken in room and there will minimal heat. Not a very good experience November 23, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by strange place ... but nice stay the hotel appears to have seen much better days ... the propery just looks and feels dated ... but the staff was excellent, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the meeting rooms and services were very good the location is a bit strange too ... Mahwah seemed an odd locale for such a big hotel (?) there is nothing else in the area June 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great stay The staff was wonderful and accomodating. The facilities were great. Only issue was the smell of the rooms upon arrival. Either someone was smoking in our room or the room next to us, or it was the cleaning products they use. We kept the door open for a while and the smell got better, but never totally went away. Rated 3 out of 5 by Not a typical stay Let me start off by saying I absolutely love Starwood its my preferred hotel brand.. I recommend it to all my family friends and colleagues...this particular Sheraton was very nice clean and comfortable...the hotel staff is actually where the facility fell short..I chose the Sheraton at Mahwah to have a night of quiet to celebrate my Birthday after checking in I was informed the club lounge was closed for the night what a bummer. the restaurant messed up my my breakfast order and overcharged me when I went downstairs to talk to the lady at the front desk she implied it was my fault and then I spoke to another employee and he ironed out the problem I never got to use the club lounge and the customer service was not up to standard to what I have experienced with my previous stays with Starwood brand.. A little customer service can go a long way.. I will not be returning to this particular Sheraton not the Birthday experience or stay I was looking for. April 21, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Not responsive to requests which are urgent Like your hotel overall. Quality of food served by room service (breakfast) below average though. Love the in room starbucks coffee. i was in the work out room and there was no water. called front desk twice...was in workout room for over an hour without water...I would say that is a liabililty issue for you? The staff at Fountain View are very friendly and helpful. This is a very beautiful hotel located amidst mountains. Choose this SPG property to experience the best and achieve tranquility. Rated 5 out of 5 by A great place to stay We were part of a wedding party which was to be held nearby. The hotel staff was fully briefed on the needs of the attendees to the wedding, coordinated beautifully with other arrangements which had been made like the transportation arrangements, and provided a wheelchair for my mother at a moments notice. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Club Room improvement My wife and I visit this hotel 2 to 3 times each year. The registration staff is very friendly and efficient and recognizes our names. Since our last visit, the club room food presentation , quality and food choices have have been greatly improved. The breakfast buffet room has had the same improvements. Keep up the good work. Rated 5 out of 5 by Always Great! I stay at this hotel frequently. Everyone is so friendly. They make me fee at home while traveling. I especially enjoy talking with Kathy in the lounge while having breakfast and preparing for my day! I missed Bill this trip. I hope he is doing better and look forward to seeing him next time. Rated 5 out of 5 by The hotel is so beautiful! The Sheraton Wahwah is so nice! We were greeted by a very nice person at the front desk. (Lisa) We had asked for a special room with extra amenties. She was aware of all the items and gave us a very nice room. The lobby is so well maintained and beautiful. Just wanted to sit and relax there all day! Thanks for a great stay! August 6, 2012

The room was very clean the beds were so comfortable. we stayed at the hotel for a soccer tournament. the restaurant in the hotel did not have a children's menu which would have been nice. but the food was very good. maybe if they could add a more casual dining for kids would be good. Rated 2 out of 5 by unacceptable room location the room was located right next to the elevator shafts!!! The noise of the elevator operation was constant throughout the night. I would suggest changing the use of that smaller than average space of a hotel room to other than accommodating a Sheraton guest. A noisy restless night was not appreciated much in that room. Rated 3 out of 5 by UNSATISFIED We booked over 6 months ago. We booked 5 rooms including the club lounge. I confirmed 2 days prior to our stay there to make sure all was well, and that we would have about 15 people coming back from my wedding. I called and left a message on the general managers machine, I got a call back from someone different. I guess he was too busy to make his own calls. When we arrived we were informed that the floors were being redone and we couldn't go in. I used my SPG points for that purpose and was denied access. I didn't get a credit or any recognition that I was a gold member. I've stayed at several other Sheratons and I was treated way better. Robert was the night manager on duty and did his best to make us comfortable in another side room. It was not what I expected spending all those points, and making the reservations months in advanced. I felt cheated and unappreciated with my stay. My guests also felt the inconvenience was inexcusable. I highly doubt that we would return or recommend this hotel to anyone in the future. I feel it's poorly managed, that the general manager sends out a email to call for any requests or questions, then has someone else call and says all is ok for our stay and when we arrived were disappointed. . Rated 5 out of 5 by Our stay was TOO short to enjoy everything. What a wonderful stay we had. We were visiting friends so we did not have time to enjoy all that the hotel had to offer. But the club lounge was wonderful with good space and food. The room was quiet and clean and very functional. The bed was absolutely the best we have ever experienced in a hotel. Thank you Sheraton. Rated 3 out of 5 by in decline In no less than 75 nights at this hotel and rental of Kilmer A or B more than a dozen times over the years I think I am qualified to realize that this hotel has slipped. Housekeeping and Starwood Club recognition leading the way. Coffee, tissues absent in the room, No upgrade at checkin in a less than full facility. August 15, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Comfortable and great for families Great room - comfortable bed, not enough storage space, but we were only there overnight. The gym was very nice as was the breakfast buffet. The pool was over-run with toddlers, so husband couldn't swim, but we celebrated a birthday at the disco. Shallow tub, but good water pressure in the shower. Excellent staff. January 28, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Sheratons are 5 star This hotel had a nice atmosphere. Easy on and off exit to main highway. The only flaw was the door to the rooms. Very old bang when closing,wakes you right up. Had guest on our floor that where in and out of their rooms. This was the same case at the Sheraton in Florida. Sheraton should look into this! Rated 4 out of 5 by ANOTHER BERGEN COUNTY STAY. I stayed at this BERGEN COUNTY hotel for a weekend stay. CHECK IN PROCESS: Smooth and effortless. ROOM: I was upgraded to a CLUB SUITE and the room had beautiful views of the nearby mountains. CLUB LOUNGE: Food and views are amazing. Thank you MAKEDA, BETTY AND KATHY for making the club lounge a better place. STAFF: Thank you JONATHAN, ALEX, LISA and all the other front desk agents who work very hard. Nighttime managerial services need an in-service on customer satisfaction,communication skills and overall management of issues pertaining to guests. NON-OPERATIONAL WASHING MACHINE: The washing machine located in the swimming pool area was not operational. I want to immensely thank WALTER for using the housekeeping washing machine to wash my clothes and for delivering them to my room RECOMMENDATIONS: Nighttime managerial hotel management and communication skills need to be improved. OVERALL: A great SPG choice if you are visiting BERGEN COUNTY in Northern New Jersey. February 18, 2014

Junior suites are amazing and hotel has excellent SPG recognition. I have been consistently staying at this hotel and it has become my home away from home. I highly recommend staying here. I was disappointed with my stay for two reasons , 1) the food here was dreadful and expensive , which makes it even harder to swallow (no pun intended). 2) the level of cleanliness was also poor. However a positive note , the shuttle bus driver was incredibly friendly and a credit to the Sheraton. January 26, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by BEAUTIFUL BERGEN COUNTY SPG PROPERTY You simply have to visit BERGEN COUNTY at this time of the year. Its heaven on Earth. The definition of "The Garden State" is defined at this location. The location of this hotel is simply the most beautiful ever. The garden is just awesome and mountains are so very beautiful. Hundreds of Canadian geese flock here and are waddling and hanging out in the gardens. The fountain here is one of the most beautiful fountains ever. I wanted to shop and watch a movie and drove to WEST NYACK, NEW YORK which is not too far away. They have a huge PALISADES MALL there but parking is an issue. This hotel is located in Northern New Jersey and is located right on the Stateline of NEW YORK and NEW JERSEY on the JERSEY side. I was upgraded to a JUNIOR SUITE. Thank you. The staff here are very friendly and like family. This time of the year there are numerous ongoing weddings at this location. Its busy but a pleasant sight. OVERALL; AMAZING SPG HOTEL and my PERSONAL favorite in Northern New Jersey. October 16, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Sheets not changed!! No warm welcome a reception, I felt like I was a burden on the staffs' conversation with someone else behind the counter. When I woke up the next morning I noticed that he bed sheets were covered in black lint and hair! When I took a shower I found "hairs" in the bath tub and walls of the shower. December 13, 2012
