Front desk clerk (Natasha) was welcoming and helpful. My room was clean, quiet and comfortable. I enjoyed the foods, 2 complementary drinks and service by Lori in the Club Room. Even though I had to leave prior to breakfast service, I was able to pick up several breakfast items to go. Being able to park my car for several days was an added bonus. The efficient early morning transportation to the airport had me from lobby through TSA in 15 mins.!

It's a nice and clean hotel with a big lobby. The staff is friendly, efficient, prompt and most importantly-honest. We recently stayed at the hotel for two nights. I accidentally left my toiletry bag in the hotel's bathroom which contained several sentimental jewelry pieces inside the bag. When I called, the Housekeeping Manager immediately went to the room and found my bag. It was such a relief! She even arranged to send the bag to my home via UPS.

It is right in the middle of the airport and you could walk to the terminal. They have a free shuttle anyway. It's very close to several car rental facilities and they give you ear plugs in case the planes get too loud taking off from the runway (which you can see out your window). The food is great and the continental breakfast has everything from fresh fruit to delicious scrambled eggs.
Very nice and spacious. For the business traveler, it is ideal.

I was very impressed with the hotel's staff. Everyone was very pleasant and accommodating. The manager-Peterson-went out of his way to help me get a room to attend a conference that was being held at the hotel. He offered the hotel shuttle to take me to a nearby hotel until a room was available.
The food was amazing, especially the desserts. Nice facility for a conference as well. Overall, a five star hotel in my rating!

Mary, the Front Desk Manager was outstanding and should be commended for her outstanding customer service. My initial room was not satisfactory and she immediately took action to address the problem in a VERY professional way. She is a credit to the Sheraton Portland Airport Hotel and to Starwood.

The room I stayed in faced the airport's secondary runway, but it was quiet. Shower head was good, but the tub drain was clogged. Overall, very clean and comfortable hotel. Good location near some rental car agencies like Alamo and easy access to 205 and 84 freeways.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Jaypuppy Bad signage, old and worn, unhelpful and insensitive staff
Hotel condition overall is very aged and worn. Hot water for shower fluctuated, bed was sunken, bed linens were worn, door stuck.
Upon complaining about the signage, or lack there of, the front desk staff was very insensitive or caring. He said he would report the complaint, which I'm sure he didn't based on his attitude. Driving from the airport rental car pickup, it took me over a half hour to get to the Aiport located hotel. There are no signs for the hotel, other than the actual hotel sign. Driving from the airport, how in the world would anyone know how to get to this badly located hotel. I even called to the hotel, in which the same guy answered the phone and gave an inconsiderate or caring attitude and terrible directions.

I had the pleasure of interacting with many individuals at the Sheraton. In particular, Ozzie who went out of his way to provide me with items I needed for the OPTA conference and offered to help me carry my stuff to the shipping area. Curtis in the bar area had the most vibrant personality and a very Can-do attitude. I couldn't have asked for a more attentive waiter. Jeff, the most helpful person I encountered during my stay. He helped me ship packages, a very amazing go to guy. Lane, loved his outgoing personality and the fact that he went above and beyond to find me a perfect restuarant for the evening. And Finally Maggie, who gave excellent recommendations for music and food in the area and even provided me with literature to learn more about the city. I couldn't possibly ask for a better staff, willing to drop what they are doing to help you. I love the personalities of each I encountered and their can-do spirit. Also, the shoe string french fries were delicious!

Spent one night here in September 2011. Staff was very welcoming, and the room was clean. The indoor pool was quite nice as well.
Only downside is that the shuttle from the airport to the hotel stops at two other hotels before reaching the Sheraton.

The staff at this hotel truly lives up to what hospitality means and ensured my stay a pleasant one. Everyone from Jake and Natasha of Front Desk, to Chris, Mary and Ozzy of Housekeeping, Mary Vail of the Lobby Shop (especially), Nick and Rocky of the Columbia Grill & Bar-all are as nice as individuals can be and yet competent personnel to boot. The room's carpet, however, should be vacuumed more thoroughly, even occasionally deep steam cleaned-but that won't deter me from returning to this hotel in the future. Don't be surprised if I ask for a carpet steam clean during such stay if I have to wash my feet with soap before bedtime (again).

I travel a lot. I rarely find a hotel where every aspect of my visit exceeded my expectations.
The entire staff was professional, friendly, attentive and personable. I did not encounter a shuttle driver, housekeeper, wait staff or counter staffer who failed to ask how I was, did I need anything and wish me a great day.
The room was impeccably furnished and the voucher for not refreshing my room was a real bonus - I travel alone and often do not need housekeeping services everyday. Truly one of the best stays of my year that includes more than 100 days on the road. Kudos to all at the Portland Airport Sheraton.

It was unfortunate to be on the same floor as students and participants in Salsa Conference and Competition. From midnight to 5am, there was constant yelling, hallway conversations, and groups gathered up and down the corridor. It was disappointing that as a business traveler, I was not proactively booked on a floor that would have allowed a decent night's sleep. Certainly separate conference attendees guest rooms and those that do not wish to be up all night. The front desk sent security in to the hallway, but unless I continued to call the front desk at each surge of crowds and noise- the efforts were fruitless. Very disappointing and exhausting.

This hotel is a superior airport hotel in all respects save one: it was extremely difficult to locate for newcomers to Portland. Other than recommending better signs, I have nothing but praise for the hotel. My traveling partner and I got snowed in there during a winter trip this December and were able to eat, swim, work out and relax comfortably without leaving the hotel or getting cabin fever. They have the best maid service I have ever experienced. Kudos.

We got to the hotel in time to get ready for a function that evening. When we got to the room the toilet wasn't working, the tv remote didn't work, and the bar/cooler wasn't working. I asked for a different room but they didn't have any on the floor I was on. Yet, when I was at the desk complaining the other hostess was checking someone in and said they had one on the floor I was on. I didn't say anything but thought it was odd.
They might be close to the airport and have travelers coming for just one night but come on folks make that one night special. Also, someone got sick in the pool and it was closed the rest of the night.

Rated 2 out of 5 by cbcmariners77 Good hotel, but...
I think this is a good hotel. But a hotel stay should be a seamless experience, and this is the second time in a row I've NOT had that.
This time, I drew a bath and the water was never anything more than luke warm coming out of the facet, which means in the tub, it was pretty cold.
They changed my room, and the water was really hot when I got there, so I took a bath. However, in the morning, the shower water was ice cold... it never heated up!
I'm debating ever staying here again. It's not a bad hotel, but a lot of other hotels are good, too, and for the amount I pay to stay here, these are not issues I should have to deal with.

About 2-3 years ago, I stayed here numerous times on business trips to Portland. The hotel was fine then. I returned this weekend for a family visit and was very disappointed. My room was unclean, with ugly stains on the carpet and furniture. The room temperature would not go above 62 degreee, and the staff could not fix it. No amenties (bathrobes, toiletries) were prvovided as they used to be. All in all, a bad experience. I won't return.

Your recent changes to the shuttle service have decreased service level significantly. This past friday, September 7th it took 40 minutes to get to the hotel when it use to take 15 minutes. Issues involving equipment, broken or not big enough resulted in customers left at the airport waiting for another van. Another factor in my displeasure was the AC was out on the shuttle and it was full of people, nice and hot.
Also, your continuing revolving door at the front desk is impacting your service. From a Platinium member who stays at this location, I am becoming concern with the direction this fine establishment is heading.

Arrived at 12 midnight from flying all day. Shuttle service great! Check In Great! Door to room kept sticking...Green light came on but door would not open...After several tries all ok....Bed was Great! ...Next morning no coffee pot...spoke to staff...no coffee pot....went to take shower and pulled back curtain and discovered bath tub full of dirty water that had been sitting for some time...drained water before shower....went to shave/brush teeth and water very, very slow in draining...I love Starwood but this hotel needs some help. Desk on way out offered me some Starwood points which was nice...Not sure how many.

I called to change my reservation because my wife and kids were coming with me. I was told on the phone that the King Suite that I had changed to would accommodate 4 people. When we arrived at our room it had 1 King bed, 3 chairs and a broken suitcase stand. There were stains on the walls and carpets and the bathroom fan did not work. I contacted the front desk to order a roll away, which they were out of and had to borrow from the neighboring hotel. One of my kids had to sleep on the floor! The Club House breakfast was your average run of the mill toast and danishes that you can get at any hotel,(not worth the extra cost). For $280 I expected a lot more for a one night stay!

I was very disappointed in my recent stay at your hotel. The hotel was clean and on check-in Lisa was very nice. But then we get to the room key issue, night after night during the day the key would not work so I would have to walk the half mile to an from my room. I was not the only guest to have this problem. I found one lady sitting in the all in front of her room waiting for a member of the hotel staff to come by so she could get them to get her a new key. I asked that the manager contact me twice about the situation and NEVER was contacted. I will not make another reservation for this hotel again.

While this hotel was very conveniently located next to PDX it was one of the filthiest most disgusting rooms I have ever stayed in. They gave me a suite and the bedroom had no windows and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in 5 years. There was hair in the bathroom and on the towels.
It was gross.

Rated 3 out of 5 by NevadaGal Great location, but property's dated
This hotel has a great location, and the facilities seemed nice, but our guest room was a bit dated. Of course, the Sheraton bed was fabulous and we got a great night's sleep, but you could tell the room and it's furnishings had seen better days. Also, we were irritated that housekeeping didn't properly stock our rooms. We had to go to the lobby for Splenda and a second roll of toilet paper the morning after we checked in! I will say, though, that service at the Columbia Grill was AMAZING. Our server at breakfast, a nice gentleman, was absolutely fabulous. I seriously don't think we've had better service EVER. Also, check in and check out was a breeze. The front desk staff were great. Overall, it was a good experience.

The checkin started oddly as the desk attendant did not say two words. The floor we were on had a bad odor due to construction and our room was not as clean as I would expect from a Sheraton hotel.
