My family and I stayed at Sheraton West Denver earlier this week for a few evenings. We found the staff was extremely accommodating but I must say the facilities need a tone up. The first evening our TV would not maintain a signal and guest services was contacted resulting in very prop service, although the problem was not fixed. That night proved to be a challenge to get any sleep, due to, both of the beds box springs not sitting on the frame causing them to sag. It was similar to sleeping in a hammock. The following day the TV was continuing to act up and we were given the option of moving rooms, which we greatly appreciate the offer. We then got set up in the new room with a functional TV and beds that didn't fold in half when you laid on them. Things are going great until my daughter found that the sink in the new room would not drain in the bathroom, it took nearly a half hour for couple inches on water to drain.

Most things went OK during our visit. Some issues: a key that did not work -- had to go get a new one that worked; Got a a bare minimum of soap and shower gel; On our last day there were no towels in our room -- we were too rushed to ask for others, disrupting our wish for a shower. One of the robes was missing from our room. We reported these to the front desk on our exit so that we would not be accused of stealing things.
Reporting issues to staff at front desk did not get much at of a response at checkout...very disappointing. I felt like whatever difficulties we had -- really did not matter much to the Hotel.
Helpful counter man who helped me get our boarding pass information. Was GOOD!

The hotel is nice, convenient location to sporting events at Coors Field and Invesco. Make sure you ask for a room on the "mountain View" side. The light rail runs under the "city view" side. Train whistle until around 2:00 a.m. Starts up again around 5:00. If you do stay on that side, take ear plugs.

Customer service at hotel restaurant was terrible! I walked into restaurant Sunday afternoon and found no wait staff so I walked into bar. Staff person yells at me for being there. I stated wouldn't it be better if you asked "Can I help you?" Then they told me that was what they were doing. I shook my head and walked out.

Overall a satisfactory stay. The room looked and felt a bit 'old' (perhaps in need of a facelift?) Also, the staff at the downstairs lounge seemed a bit put out whenever we wanted to settle down and hang out. But front desk and service staff were excellent.

The first time we stayed at the Sheraton/Lakewood back in late March 2013, it was wonderful. Coming back - not so much. We had to turn on the hot water for 5 to 10 minutes before it became hot. The toilet area did not have a vent fan. The curtains in the room did not close all the way - so in the morning the sun shone right on our faces. And besides all of that - we booked a block of rooms at a "group rate" (my mom passed away) and was told the rates would be $99 (no matter how many people were in the room). We were charged $109 because of we had 3 people in the room. I know it's only $20 - but it's the principle of it.

I stayed at the Sheraton Denver West over New Year's Eve and had the time of my life! I had assumed that hotel staff would be annoyed to be working for New Year's, but every last employee that I talked to was happy, fun, and seemed to be delighted to host my girlfriend and me. The food was fantastic, the service was top-notch, our room was clean and comfortable, our experience was incredible! I really could not have asked for a better hotel experience!
