Rated 3 out of 5 by Wilmington Wedding woes We stayed at the hotel to attend a wedding. The bridal party got ready in a few of the rooms. We requested that the rooms be cleaned after we left for the wedding. When we returned towels were on the floor, trash cans full, beds unmade, and room service items still there. The following morning, there was only one person in the kitchen and one server at the restaurant . The service was terrible. Some never got the omlets they ordered. January 27, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Night stay We had one minor problem with a noisy room but it was handled extremely well by the impressive staff. Everyone was so very nice and we very much appreciated Eric's generous offer as a result of the noise. He is a true professional! We will return! Thanks! June 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Convenient and comfortable This is the second year that we stayed at the Sheraton in Wilmington on our way back from the Outer Banks. It's a lovely place to stop on the way home. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Food and service are great as well. June 25, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Honest Staff I was very relieved that an item we left in the room at check out was turned in and returned promptly when I phoned to report it. Not all establishments have such honest employees! We stayed at this hotel to visit Winterthur. It was convenient. Good nearby restaurants. August 25, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by The rooms were really nice The rooms were very nice. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the curtains kept the rooms extremely dark. You could sleep all day! The suite was large and the 2 televisions were great for everyone to watch what they wanted. Housekeeping services were great too! October 15, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Stay I was in the area at a wedding but did not want to drive once it was over. This hotel was my first choice and I'm so glad that I choose it. The room was clean, spacious and the hotel staff was very professional. April 23, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by hotel experience The people at the front desk are polite and knowledgeable when you ask for anything extra it is immediately sent up to your room it was a very pleasant experience. June 9, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great place to Stay This starwood property is in a great location, great staff, great management, and in all, the best choice for places to stay near Wilmington. Great proximity to the Y, businesses and of course really great service. April 3, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Oasis in the Storm I was lucky to get a room during the last snowstorm. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. I had a delicious dinner and breakfast the next morning waiting for the roads to clear. It was a great experience. January 23, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Comfortable Beds I was surprise to see that the bed was so comfortable, I wanted to take it home with me because I slept so well. Also was glad to see that you allowed pets at no additional cost. May 31, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Room 914 Clean the grout in the tub area with bleach and regrout with new grout. It is a little thing but what could be the the difference between a, "WOW", and an, "OK", stay. September 29, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Beautiful Clean Room I was very pleased with my stay at this hotel. The room decor was nice, everything was clean and smell fresh. The bed was also very comfortable. March 31, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Extraordinary room comfort Staff very welcoming and helpful, attentive. Rooms clean and comfortable. May 26, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by No air conditioning during a heat wave? There was no air in the hotel when we checked in. The staff didn't seem to care that guests paying hundreds of dollars were living in a sauna. It was "fixed" multiple times but the thermostat in the room never read below 80, which sadly seemed cool in contrast to the hallway which must have been 100 degrees. I have never payed that much for a hotel that didn't give an ounce of comfort. Will think twice before I ever book a room at a Sheradon again. There was also a party in one of the rooms and when the staff FINALLY kicked them out, they allowed the "guests" to hang out inside the lobby and directly outside the door. We felt very unsafe. Rated 3 out of 5 by Valentine Sweet! Not so much Everything went ok. First off, the two people at the front desk were arguing amongst each other. You could hear them from a good distance. I was suppose to check in early. However, my room wasn't ready yet. I understand that. However, the next customer came in, and the front person guy checked him right in, then another person. I was up set for a few minutes, but I was calm. Then, I had to change things in my reservation at the front desk. This info should have been changed when I made my reservation. The info I was talking about was NO CHEESE PLATE due to be problems with dairy. However, no one saves that info. When I came in the room, there was cheese in the room. Still wasn't mad. What made me mad was that I always get the Romace Package, and the guy at the desk told me that I have to eat breakfast in my room. I politely told him that I always eat the buffett in the restaurant like alwys. The other person at the front desk was starting to give me an attitude about it. Themn, I left the desk and they finally gave me my coupons. I don't know what the arguement is about, however you can feel the tension coming form both of them. ! This occasion was suppose to be a special night, but it didn't start off like that. I was very disappointted and hurt. Especially form the front desk. I made sure that I didn't have to call them for anything else for the rest of my stay. February 17, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Issue with my bill I have been staying at the Sheraton, Wilmington for several weeks now. Somehow, I find that the front desk staff are not helpful when it comes to billing related questions. I was charged for an extra day during one of my stays back in april. Since then I have stopped by front desk several times and called them over a dozen times to get the issue fixed. Each time a different person takes my information and says they will get back to me. Only that they never got back to me and I still have not gotten this resolved. I have wasted so much time and effort on this that I have decided to stay at the courtyard across the street in the future. May 7, 2013

Rated 1 out of 5 by terrible Horrible experience here. I was at this hotel for wedding accommodations (rooms had been blocked off). When I called to confirm my reservation, I asked if there was a shuttle bus to the wedding and was told by the employee that he was not a wedding planner. Took 30 minutes to check-in, was given a sarcastic comment for asking questions. Room was dirty. Bed had stains, couch smelled, chair had stains. Bathroom was dirty, and carpet felt wet everywhere. Called to get a cab to wedding (as told to do so), no one picked up the phone at main desk, and as a result, we were late to the wedding. September 12, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Hotel with a Great Staff. This hotel is a little old with a surprising number of club floors. The physical plant could use some help, specifically the HVAC. I found parts of the hotel to be cool and then in an adjacent room it would be hot. I set my thermostat at 60 degrees in my room and it was was blowing out air at least ten degrees warmer. The staff is the star here. From the folks in the club lounge, which I got access to as a Gold, to the front desk people to the folks at the restaurant. They make this average Sheraton above average. It's not really located in an interesting neighborhood, but then again I don't think those exist in Wilmington. May 23, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent staff, beautiful facility Very pleased w/ our stay at Sheraton Suites Wilmington. From check-in w/ Janae who handled a room mixup beautifully, to Candy who helped me with heartburn late in the evening and then served an excellent breakfast on the club floor the next day, your staff made the stay that much better. It was the best restaurant breakfast ever, plus the coffee was actually good! The room was spacious, quiet, beautifully decorated. Would definitely return and recommend to others, especially if the same great people are working then. October 19, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Pleasant surprise after street confusion. Wilmington is a small city, but the streets ARE somewhat confusing. After missing a turn, it was blocks before we could return to the hotel. However, we were impressed with the size of the room (a small suite) and the comfortable bed. The sofa, however, was NOT comfortable. The staff was friendly and responsive. The hotel area is kind of desolate in the evening and on weekends. November 2, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Spacious and Comfortable We stayed here for three nights while exploring the mansions and gardens of the Brandywine Valley. Our two-room suite (all of the rooms here are suites) was large, clean, well-appointed and extremely comfortable, with a refrigerator and microwave. We had club-level privileges, which was convenient for light breakfasts every morning, but we were too busy for the evening hors-d'oevres. Our package also included free internet access, and we were given free parking to compensate us when the room type we had booked (club floor, two double beds) was unavailable. All of the staff were exeptionally friendly and helpful. Rated 3 out of 5 by Large room but understaffed The hotel is very well located and the rooms are very large. However on the week end we were there the hotel was understaffed. The front manager did her best but she was visibly overwhelmed. When we arrived in our room, with a reservation for 5, the sofa bed was not made; upon asking for additional linen and towels to accommodate 5 we got rolling eyes (when paying extra for additional people I expect the sofa bed to be made ... we had to make it ourselves). The club floor breakfast is nice but again, understaffed. The guy is doing his best and does it well. Upon departure, the front desk lady barely gave me a word. August 13, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome getaway weekend The staff was client-centered and the rooms were nicely appointed. The Bistro has a nice menu and was good food with beautiful presentation. Room service was prompt and enjoyable. Our experience was grade A and we will be back again. The hotel sits on the edge of downtown and within walking distance of the trendy Trolley Square area with its great restaurants and bars. And the Brandywine River and walkway is just a few blocks away and feels like another world. December 23, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Thank you, great service Was stranded in Delaware due to the snowstorm, and checked into the hotel to get out of the snow. The thing that is really impressive about this hotel is just how super nice everyone is! Every single staff we met was amazingly pleasant and friendly. The physical plant is very nice and clean as well. Room is comfortable and spacious, and all hardware is well-maintained. Note the indoor parking only takes cars under 6 ft tall, so if you're driving a full size SUV, you need to find alternatives. Ask the staff for help! By the way, the restaurant Basil is very nice, much better than what I had expected. December 9, 2013
