We purchased the Calaway stay & play package. The hotel is beautiful and clean, but our room had a shower only and no fridge and microwave, so not ideal for travelling with toddlers. The pool was great. We received a $25 food voucher in the package which we used for the pancake breakfast at Colours. The food was not great. No different then continental breakfast foods, which are free at other hotels. And my 2 year old had to pay $8.95 for her food, plus $2 for a glass of milk. I thought that was kind of silly since she ate 1/2 a pancake and a couple chunks of fruit. Two & under should be free. Even with the $25 voucher our bill was still $28. So a $53 total for sub par food for a family of 4. Not overly impressed. After adding it all up it would have been cheaper to stay somewhere else that had free breakfast, and buying our calaway park tickets at the gate.

I went looking for a special place to spend New Year's Eve with my grandchildren and found that the Sheraton Cavalier offered in room dining and water slides. Perfect! I reserved 2 rooms, thinking that the Hotel was probably a little dated, but offered what I was looking for. Wow, was I surprised! The room was beautiful; very clean and well appointed. We all had a blast at the water park and in-room dining was delicious.

I love staying here, especially since the upgrades to the fitness centre and the club lounge.
The staff are always helpful and attentive, the renovated rooms are great, and no matter how busy they find ways to accommodate my needs.
The hotel has always treated me extremely well as a Platinum guest.
The location is excellent for travel inside and outside the city, as you can have quick access to most major arteries.

My son and his new bride got married in the ballroom. Immediately after the ceremony, while photos were being taken, the room was converted for the reception. Many guests stayed overnight at the hotel including my wife and I who flew in from Ontario. Family and friends all appreciated the convenience of having everything under one roof. Thank you to all the staff who made this special occasion a very memorable one.

My room had to be in the worst location of the building. We overlooked the pool area and the entrance to the pool was beside our room. The noise from the pool area came into the room as if we were in the pool and every time someone went in or out of the pool area the door slams and the wall shakes. Since the pool is open until 10pm it was impossible to put my child to bed prior to 10:30 when things settled down.

For a "club floor room" the room was an average room in size the bathroom was small and only had a shower (was expecting a jetted tub, the website is a little confusing and misleading) the breakfast is only until 8:30 so if you sleep in you are out of luck and the lounge closes at 10:00 so if you go out for a nice late dinner you are out of luck there as well. I will say the room was nice and bright and clean.

I have always had great service and pricing with this hotel except this time. I did not notice my room rates till I arrived home. Not only that I am a Platium Member i also have a corporate rate under Mountain Shores development Corp / Mountain Shores Land Ventures Inc. Last stay in the same room $169,00 this one was well over $200.00 for each of my rooms. i will have to price check next. time i stay.

Service, Cleanliness and Room was great. Left my child's toy in the hotel room, and the admin asst immediately fed-ex'ed the toy and we received it days later. Great location as it's close to the Crossiron mills mall, not too far from the Calgary zoo, definetly family friendly with their great waterpark. Thanks for the stay, we will be staying at the Sheraton next time we are in Calgary.

Considering I was in Calgary for a two day medical treatment ..the highlight of my recent trip was knowing I was staying here on the Club floor. I would have limited mobility because of my treatment ..the staff were helpful ..club services and food couldnt have been better ! A great Gold member benefit was late checkout...as I had recovery issues. Thank you to each of u...from room 809.

I took my granddaughters and daughter to the Cavalier for a 2 day break. We all had a great time. We went to Carver's for dinner and all the staff were attentive to our needs. They made my granddaughters feel special, stopped to talk to them, asked them directly what they wanted. We are planning another stay in February. Thank you Sheraton Cavalier, you made our getaway fantastic.

First time to Calgary and selected the Sheraton based on various reviews. The older looking exterior gave way to a very elegant, modern and well maintained lobby and main floor certer. Room was very nice and overlooked the pool complex. Great fun for kids and the hot tub.jacuzzi was a well respite after long days. Close to shopping, restaturants, etc. WOuld stay again.

I have stayed at this hotel on business trips for many years and admire it for the constant upkeep and renovations. It maintains a high level of maintenance and appearance both in its public areas and guest rooms. The quality of staff and training is also evident. One thing, regardless of your Starwood Membership standing it is difficult to obtain a room upgrade at this hotel.

The hotel lobby is comfortably luxurious with well appointed rooms.
The room was over sized with soft bedding and very comfomfortable beds.
The restaurant was bright and had a good selection of breakfast (the only meal I ate on site) items at a good price point.
The bathroom was compact with up to date fixtures. I loved the large walk in shower, rather than a tub combo!

I have been the presenter at a number of classes at this location. During the most recent visit I found all staff exceptionally courteous and friendly, and the catering group very attentive to all my needs. The food provided was exceptional. A job well done by all members of the hotel staff. I could certainly recommend this hotel as a site for your meetings.

There was a time when I was staying at this hotel monthly when travelling down from Edmonton. This is the first time in nearly 3 years that I've stayed here, and it is still a great property.
While I didn't get onto the spg floor (7th), I was upgraded to a suite which was quite nice. Beside the elevators, but there was no noise at all. A very comfortable room.

I have stayed here several times for business and have always been treated well and enjoyed my stays. This past weekend I attended with my family for pleasure for 1 night. We had 2 adjoining rooms on the third floor. Unfortunately the rooms we received were directly over the rooftop air conditioning / ventilation units - absolutely no view. As a gold member I would have hoped for an upgrade, but given that the hotel was very busy I fully understand that this may not have been possible. However, I'm pretty sure we could have been placed in other non-preferred rooms that had some sort of view. I advised that I may need a late check out and was advised that the best I could get was an extra hour. I had to advise that I was a gold member and could have until 4pm if necessary. Neither of the above are show stoppers but based on previous stays I was disappointed. I'll still stay here but I will hope for a return to past experiences.

Once again we stayed at the Sheraton Cavalier on the last night of our three day trip home. We were welcomed warmly by the staff and check-in was a breeze.
Our room was clean, the beds were comfortable and we along with our two dogs felt very much at home. We all had a restful time and a good nights sleep
Best of all, they have a Starbucks in the lobby

I travel very much in my job all over the world and every time I come to Calgary, my first choice of hotel is the Sheraton Cavalier hotel, and I have stayed at pretty much all of the high end hotels in Calgary.
The staff takes care of all of my needs and leaves me alone which I like and the resturants and pubs are friendly with good food at a good cost.

As a platinum member, I have stayed at this hotel many times over the years. Unfortunately, as staff change so can service levels. I was particularly frustrated during my stay at this property last week because the staff would not listen to what I was telling them I needed. I was in town for my Grandmothers 99th birthday celebration and my two sons were joining me. I asked for a room with a king bed and a pull-out sofa. As I said this the staff heard 'suite.' I repeated the sleeping configuration that I required. What did the staff do? They put me in a suite with a single King bed and no pull out sofa. I had to call down for a cot. The staff immediately informed me that I would be charged an additional $15. Customer service is negatively affected when the staff jump ahead of what they assume the customer is asking for instead of actually listening to what the customer is requesting. I have been very loyal to this property and I really felt let down by the hotel this time around.

I really like this hotel for its location, parking and rooms. What does bug me is this is the only SPG property that requires you to sign a club lounge voucher and provide a tip to the club server. I have been to alot of SPG properties, and only here do they do this. Lighting in the bedrooms could be brighter for reading. Otherwise, a decent property.

I booked this hotel online and when we got theyre it exceeded my expectations!! Beautiful rooms and bathrooms the waterpark was great for my kids- the pools coulda been a little cleaner but understandable with all the people coming and going. I needed towels and it was brought up within 5 mins! Great place and I have been recommending it to everyone!

We were very excited to spend a night at the Cavalier. We have been there before. I usually check hotel rooms once I arrive in the
room and this time was no different. There was what looked to be blood marks on our bed cover, I called Guest services right away and whoever I spoke with didn't seem overly concerned. I called again and someone eventually came up to look at our bed cover and had a new cover brought in. What bothered me was that I don't believe the top bed cover had been changed from the previous guest. Also, after going into the washroom, as I was opening the door I noticed something brown in colour smeared on the door below the handle. I had already contacted guest services once and didn't want to doing again, so I used one of my Clorox wipes from camping to clean the door.
I am not sure we will visit again :(( I am really disappointed with the cleanliness of our room and the lack of sense of urgency in having the issue dealt with.

Overall, a good experience. Nothing spectacular, but quality stay.
I did not try the restaurant, but the lobby bar staff was very attentive and efficient.
I was surprised that the hotel was quite so far away from the airport. And, with the construction that is currently going on the morning shuttle rides can take quite some time.

Our stay at the Sheraton Cavalier was great! The room was comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. Of particular note were the staff - whether it was the server in Colors, or the young man cleaning the elevator, or the woman cleaning our room, or the desk staff - all very friendly and helpful. I will stay there again!

I spent two nights here at the end of October. The hotel is easy to get to in the NE part of the City. Close to the airport and with several restaurants nearby it is a good location, especially if you don't need to be right Downtown. Also, if you have a family, the two waterslides in the pool are great for the kids.

We got an amazing deal on this hotel. Because we stayed on a long weekend we got our 3rd night free! The staff are awesome and were always happy to do anything to make our stay special. And everywhere we went they would go out of their way to put a smile on our 2 year old daughters face. We got complimentary breakfast and evening horderves with our stay and both were always fantastic. I was expecting a little more from the pool area. I thought it would be bigger with a few more things for our 2 year old to play with, and it was always super busy when we went. But we went every night of our stay and still had a blast. We were able to take our daughter down the slides which she LOVED! There was always a line up for the slides but we never waited very long. The location of the hotel was great as well. We were close to everything we had planned to do like the zoo and the spark center. All in all we loved our stay and will definitely staying again the next time we are in Calgary :)

I had requested an upgrade to a club room. Somehow the request was lost or not forwarded to the hotel. When I asked if i was on the club floor, I was told 'Yes" then discovered that this was incorrect. I was told by mgmt that "I was just a Preferred Member" and no action was required. Very disappointing.

When we checked it there was no mention that half of the pool amenities were down. The sauna was down for a while under repair and so was the hot tub. Paying full price and not letting you know up front while checking in was unprofessional.

My wife and I have always been very impressed with the hotel and how everything has exceeded our expectations, so we decided to escape Edmonton for a night and bring the entire family with us for a day at the Zoo and a relaxing evening by the pool followed up by a movie.
At first, I was a little worried that a family of six and two dogs wouldn't fit into a hotel room comfortably. Imagine my surprise when we opened the door to the Executive Suite.
Not only was it large enough to fit all of us COMFORTABLY, it was in a great location (across from the pool, next to the elevator and ice machine). Oddly enough, the room was super quiet despite the location - we didn't hear a peep from people coming off of the elevator, nor did we hear anyone coming out of the pool.
In the morning, because the Club Lounge was closed, we were able to use a breakfast voucher in lieu. Excellent service, great food.
All in all, this hotel never ceases to amaze. My family and I will definitely be returning in the future.

I took my granddaughters again for a 2 night stay. We had a great time. We seem to be seeing neighbours and friends coming for the weekends too. All of our needs were met. Hats off to the kids that work in the pool area. These kids make sure everything runs smooth and is taken care of.
