Rated 3 out of 5 by Some What Let Down I have stayed here several times for business and have always been treated well and enjoyed my stays. This past weekend I attended with my family for pleasure for 1 night. We had 2 adjoining rooms on the third floor. Unfortunately the rooms we received were directly over the rooftop air conditioning / ventilation units - absolutely no view. As a gold member I would have hoped for an upgrade, but given that the hotel was very busy I fully understand that this may not have been possible. However, I'm pretty sure we could have been placed in other non-preferred rooms that had some sort of view. I advised that I may need a late check out and was advised that the best I could get was an extra hour. I had to advise that I was a gold member and could have until 4pm if necessary. Neither of the above are show stoppers but based on previous stays I was disappointed. I'll still stay here but I will hope for a return to past experiences. July 24, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by OK Stay... Stayed on the long weekend.... LOTS of people at the pool! Hallway was quite noisy at night - neighbor had a crying baby most of the night and early morning - sounded like it was in our room. Lovely room and very impressive hotel but not certain I would stay here again.... Lots of positives to this place but wasn't "wowed"..... August 5, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by They like dogs Once again we stayed at the Sheraton Cavalier on the last night of our three day trip home. We were welcomed warmly by the staff and check-in was a breeze. Our room was clean, the beds were comfortable and we along with our two dogs felt very much at home. Rated 4 out of 5 by Cameron Clark's Stay I travel very much in my job all over the world and every time I come to Calgary, my first choice of hotel is the Sheraton Cavalier hotel, and I have stayed at pretty much all of the high end hotels in Calgary. The staff takes care of all of my needs and leaves me alone which I like and the resturants and pubs are friendly with good food at a good cost. December 12, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great beds - some changes needed I really like this hotel for its location, parking and rooms. What does bug me is this is the only SPG property that requires you to sign a club lounge voucher and provide a tip to the club server. I have been to alot of SPG properties, and only here do they do this. Lighting in the bedrooms could be brighter for reading. Otherwise, a decent property. September 9, 2012

Beautiful rooms and bathrooms the waterpark was great for my kids- the pools coulda been a little cleaner but understandable with all the people coming and going. I needed towels and it was brought up within 5 mins! Great place and I have been recommending it to everyone! August 29, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Beautiful Hotel The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are large and nice. The staff is very friendly. The bar is over priced. There was a giant puddle of water on the floor in our hotel room, the staff only put a towel on it. And the room was FREEZING cold as soon as we got in, and all night long. Rated 3 out of 5 by Disappointed We were very excited to spend a night at the Cavalier. We have been there before. I usually check hotel rooms once I arrive in the room and this time was no different. There was what looked to be blood marks on our bed cover, I called Guest services right away and whoever I spoke with didn't seem overly concerned. I called again and someone eventually came up to look at our bed cover and had a new cover brought in. What bothered me was that I don't believe the top bed cover had been changed from the previous guest. Also, after going into the washroom, as I was opening the door I noticed something brown in colour smeared on the door below the handle. I had already contacted guest services once and didn't want to doing again, so I used one of my Clorox wipes from camping to clean the door. I am not sure we will visit again :(( I am really disappointed with the cleanliness of our room and the lack of sense of urgency in having the issue dealt with. July 29, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by This hotel has a great staff I thought that the staff was very friendly and helpful. The lady who made coffee downstairs was very nice and welcoming. Also had to sit in the bar area for some time one night working on a presentation with a coworker and the scene was perfect. Not too loud but enough going on that it wasn't boring. Rated 4 out of 5 by A Good Experience Overall, a good experience. Nothing spectacular, but quality stay. I did not try the restaurant, but the lobby bar staff was very attentive and efficient. I was surprised that the hotel was quite so far away from the airport. And, with the construction that is currently going on the morning shuttle rides can take quite some time. March 22, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel has comfort figured out We travelled to Calgary for a team tournament and found the hotel very efficient, comfortable and accommodating. They kept our whole team together with our rooms which was a bonus. Pool was enjoyed by all the kids. Would have been nice to have a fridge in our room (not bar fridge) to keep our extra food, drinks for the tournament April 7, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Thumbs Up! Our stay at the Sheraton Cavalier was great! The room was comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. Of particular note were the staff - whether it was the server in Colors, or the young man cleaning the elevator, or the woman cleaning our room, or the desk staff - all very friendly and helpful. I will stay there again! April 2, 2013

The staff and management are very professional, polite and most of all greet you throughout your stay with a very warm and positive manner. The hotel is well kept and best of all a great value. Rated 1 out of 5 by romance package??? really?? arrived at the hotel after having booked romance package, which included late checkout if available, I had to ask, them prompt the front desk clerk to look at our reservation, which would include a late checkout til 4pm if the hotel was available. I was able to have a checkout til 3. I asked if the sparkling wine and chocolates were in the room, blank stare...they were sent up, but merlot not sparkling and only half a bottle. Dinner in the lounge, steaks tasted like they were boiled...odd Breakfast was included in romance package, we asked desk in the morning when we came down where the breakfast was, we were directed, a nasty breakfast to the tune of 35.00 which we had to fight about because our breakfast was to have been included They eventually went to the front desk to check and the lady came with breakfast vouchers which had not been given to us at checkin. No apology, appears they didn't much care...the room was fine..the romance package a joke...what a shame April 7, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great upgrade for Platinum member I was at hotel for quick get away with my family Aug 03. Even I booked a regular room, but the hotel had upgraded to Jr Suite which is fantastic. I also had a late check out to 2pm, which give my kids another run at hotel water park. Overall it was a great experience for us. Thanks You August 6, 2014

Arrived at hotel and room not available for 5 hours with no reasoning other than 'we're busy'. No other options available other than bags checked. Number left to contact when room available and never contacted. Others had checked in ahead of me. June 28, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Business Hotel I spent two nights here at the end of October. The hotel is easy to get to in the NE part of the City. Close to the airport and with several restaurants nearby it is a good location, especially if you don't need to be right Downtown. Also, if you have a family, the two waterslides in the pool are great for the kids. November 5, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for the whole family We chose to do the zoo pack deal which made the room quite affordable and the trip was a blast for all with the combination of visiting the zoo and spending time in the pool and waterslides. Kids are already asking to go back. The room was pleasant and staff was friendly. August 5, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Will definitely stay again We got an amazing deal on this hotel. Because we stayed on a long weekend we got our 3rd night free! The staff are awesome and were always happy to do anything to make our stay special. And everywhere we went they would go out of their way to put a smile on our 2 year old daughters face. We got complimentary breakfast and evening horderves with our stay and both were always fantastic. I was expecting a little more from the pool area. I thought it would be bigger with a few more things for our 2 year old to play with, and it was always super busy when we went. But we went every night of our stay and still had a blast. We were able to take our daughter down the slides which she LOVED! There was always a line up for the slides but we never waited very long. The location of the hotel was great as well. We were close to everything we had planned to do like the zoo and the spark center. All in all we loved our stay and will definitely staying again the next time we are in Calgary :) May 21, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Disappointing As a platinum member, I have stayed at this hotel many times over the years. Unfortunately, as staff change so can service levels. I was particularly frustrated during my stay at this property last week because the staff would not listen to what I was telling them I needed. I was in town for my Grandmothers 99th birthday celebration and my two sons were joining me. I asked for a room with a king bed and a pull-out sofa. As I said this the staff heard 'suite.' I repeated the sleeping configuration that I required. What did the staff do? They put me in a suite with a single King bed and no pull out sofa. I had to call down for a cot. The staff immediately informed me that I would be charged an additional $15. Customer service is negatively affected when the staff jump ahead of what they assume the customer is asking for instead of actually listening to what the customer is requesting. I have been very loyal to this property and I really felt let down by the hotel this time around. December 9, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Disappointing response; no upgrade I had requested an upgrade to a club room. Somehow the request was lost or not forwarded to the hotel. When I asked if i was on the club floor, I was told 'Yes" then discovered that this was incorrect. I was told by mgmt that "I was just a Preferred Member" and no action was required. Rated 5 out of 5 by A comfortable stay for a family of six (& two dogs) My wife and I have always been very impressed with the hotel and how everything has exceeded our expectations, so we decided to escape Edmonton for a night and bring the entire family with us for a day at the Zoo and a relaxing evening by the pool followed up by a movie. At first, I was a little worried that a family of six and two dogs wouldn't fit into a hotel room comfortably. Imagine my surprise when we opened the door to the Executive Suite. Not only was it large enough to fit all of us COMFORTABLY, it was in a great location (across from the pool, next to the elevator and ice machine). Oddly enough, the room was super quiet despite the location - we didn't hear a peep from people coming off of the elevator, nor did we hear anyone coming out of the pool. In the morning, because the Club Lounge was closed, we were able to use a breakfast voucher in lieu. Excellent service, great food. All in all, this hotel never ceases to amaze. My family and I will definitely be returning in the future. September 7, 2012

Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Wedding site and the waterslide was fantastic Our daughter had a fantastic time at the waterslide, what a great addition to our hotel stay. Our friend had her wedding reception at the hotel and Bernice and her catering staff were phenomenal; took care of everything with such professionalism and ease. highly recommend for weddings! Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Hotel, Unfriedly staff at the bar Great hotel to stay at. Rooms were large and very clean. Check in staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. On the negative side, the staff at the bar were unfriendly and didn't make anyone feel welcomed. They wouldn't even give us the food for the price advertised as the "special". December 10, 2012

Facility is great for families, we spent many hours in the water park. Room was great, lots of room to spread out and very clean. It is our hotel of choice when staying in Calgary. January 4, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Oasis Water Park The water park was a hit with my grand children, ages 1 & 3. We arrived at around 8pm and went straight to the water park. They were exhausted after and went straight to sleep. We all had a wonderful experience. The hotel was hard to find with our GPS due to road construction. July 4, 2012
