Rated 1 out of 5 by Worst hotel experience I am a meeting planner and former Marriott sales executive. I'm currently staying on the concierge level of this hotel. I've stayed in a LOT of hotels and this is honestly one of the worst. Upon arrival, my family and I headed to the concierge lounge for the hors d'oeurves that are to be provided until 7:30. We arrived in the lounge at 7:15 and the staff was already in there cleaning them up. Really not right. This level isn't free and this is a service provided. But whatever. One of the staff members looks at us and says "the buffet ends at 7:30." We nod, confused because it's not 7:30. And he continues to say "Always 7:30." As if we are crazy for showing up at 7:15. Weird but we brush it off. We head down to the pool. And the towel rack is empty. My husband goes out to the lobby and asks an employee to request more towels. He and my daughter get in the pool. Where he warns me that it's beyond freezing. I've never heard him complain about a pool being too cold. He's a former lifeguard! I don't get in and they want to get out after 15 min but there are still no towels so I have to go request them again. We come back upstairs and then toilet is acting up but working. Annnnd at midnight it stops flushing altogether. Sigh. We don't want to wake up our daughter so we wait til morning to call. Head out to go shopping and come back. The toilet is still broken. Double sigh. Call it in again and the girl tells me "you're ok" like I am apologizing for wanting me toilet fixed! The very nice maintenance man comes up and apologizes and says the front desk told him a room number for 2 doors down this morning. Ok. Whew. We have a working toilet. Now I haven't even mentioned the beds. I could basically sleep on hot coals. But even I couldn't sleep on this bed. We had tossed and turned all night. So I say ok time for a little nap. Pull back my newly changed sheets and no joke... There is a urine stain right under my pillow. Now I could just cry. I will say Alex at the front desk was extremely apologetic and called to make sure they changed it. The one bright moment in a ruined spring break. I am really upset that I wasted my points on this hotel plus paid nightly for the concierge lounge. It is definitely sub par. March 22, 2016

Rated 2 out of 5 by Good but...... Our first impression went to a rotten start, there was no bell hop and those carts are not easy to push. It was a little weird for a Sheraton not to have someone there to help with the luggage. The staff at check-in was nice and the room ok, the shower was horrible though, the pressure didn't make it, and even on the highest setting, the water was not that hot. One good thing I can mention is that at 9:00 PM we decided that my toddler needed a crib and wasn't going down in a bed and within 15 minutes it was delivered to our room. The reason I gave the two star is for an incident that happened the morning of, we paid extra for the club room(which I highly recommend to anyone, its worth the few extra bucks) and I thought I read that breakfast was until 10 am, so when I went to the club to get cereal for my kids, the lady cleaning up told me that breakfast was over. The shocking thing was the food was all right behind her, and she refused to give, telling me to go downstairs since the buffet in the lobby goes until 10am. Well when I went downstairs, the front desk told me that would be $13 per person since that buffet is through the restaurant. I didn't appreciate the run around and understand I was late, but when the food is still out don't send me on a wild goose chase to be told by the front desk, sorry but there is nothing we can do. It was just not something I would expect at a hotel like the Sheraton, especially when the Club Room is concerned, which means the person either is a frequent stayer or they paid extra for it. Rated 4 out of 5 by Poor SPG Elite Recognition Upon check in, the commode in my room could not flush, who checks housekeeping issues before room is sold? Then staff at front desk don't acknowledge SPG membership, room-service breakfast was missing items ordered, when items finally came there was no apology. SPG Lounge has minimal service items for breakfast and is too small for size of this hotel. The Hotel has great potential and in a very nice location. Could be a gem in the rough! December 21, 2015

Rated 5 out of 5 by Attentive staff We were originally booked into another well known chain hotel fof a girls Getaway with five of my adult granddaughters. The suite was not in good condition or stocked so we found Sheraton Hotel at the last minute. From the time we arrived, we were treated with special care. Because it was late extra towels, shampoo, and coffee was brought up by the front desk staff for our party of six. The girls enjoyed the beautiful indoor pool, hot tub and exercise room. In the morning we enjoyed sitting by the outside pool. Very good service, clean, and excellent facilities. Thank you. August 25, 2015

Rated 2 out of 5 by Front desk staff is unfriendly, and this hotel needs to be upgraded We stayed at this hotel on 2 different occasions for vacation and had 2 rooms each time. When my wife checked in for our first stay, the front desk clerk, Regina D. Williams, was rude, curt and unfriendly. She also was unprofessional, making noise while eating a piece of candy or mint. The rooms and hotel are aged and need to be updated. The bathroom door in one room was off its sliding track, so it was very noisy when opening and closing, and the doors to the hallway were also noisy. This hotel did not live up to what I expect from Starwood properties. August 9, 2015

Rated 4 out of 5 by Convenient The location is very good with proximity to 270. The room was comfortable except for the pull out couch. My son and his girlfriend ended up sleeping on the floor the second night because the mattress was so terrible. I updated my room to a suite for more room and when I went to my parents regular room it was the same, yet mine cost $30 more a night. Overall for what we needed it worked. June 7, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Spg member who deserves brtter treatment Couldnt see when entering. the main lamp was busted. the curtain rod was missing on one side of the the curtain. tried to upgrade the room before i got into this particular room, with a phone call the night before, denied. tried to upgrade once i got to initial check in, they told me that was only available for my first night (3 total on my stay) seecond day, room key went dead. waited at front counter for 10 minutes before anyone was available to help the other people trying to just check out. unbelievable June 2, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Rude front desk People in the next room was smoking and all the smell came into my room. It was around 2:00 am in the morning. I called to front office to change my room. Front desk person was so rude, instead of listening my concerns he was keep saying the same thing. I asked him to bring some odor eliminator, he said he will bring it. I waited for him until 3:00 am and no one showed up. Facility is OK , rude staff ruin everything. May 4, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Decent stay, but stay away from that trick complimentary bottle! Overall a decent stay - convenient location, nice suite and great club lounge breakfast. I'm docking one star because I was disappointed when they charged me $4.00 for a bottle of water they had placed among the "free" bottles of water. Not crying buckets over 4 bucks, but this is probably the first time I've paid for water at ANY hotel, let alone at an SPG property. To top it off, the front desk's response to my query captured their level of SPG recognition- "yeah, we charge everyone - including Platinum and Gold members". Oh, well! April 14, 2015

Rated 3 out of 5 by not accomodating we were a group there for a hockey tournament and the facility did not provide added space to keep the children from running through the hotel. The continental breakfast they provided had limited choice and the food present was stale. Lastly 2 elevators for 9 floors was ridiculous March 23, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Outstanding The front desk staff was outstanding; He was inviting and extraordinarily helpful. The room was great, maybe a little on the "tight" side, but nice never the less. The following morning the staff made sure that we were aware that the roads had become hazardous and asked us to use caution while traveling. February 8, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Regular guest - very disappointed on this stay I stay at this property - in the same room (652) - regularly (approx. 12x in last year). This time, my regular room was not clean. Bathroom bowl had fresh "defecated deposits' and the one complimentary bottle of water they provide was opened and 1/3 gone. TV was inoperable until I contacted the desk and then only after an hour. The list of things needing attention that I left on the two previous stays (most recently 2 weeks ago) were never addressed. There never seems to be a benefit to being an SPG member... no recognition. February 2, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not a great stay We booked a room with this hotel in the midst of a long drive from visiting family. It seemed as though front desk clerks were never actually at the desk, and we always had to wait for service during our stay. Upon arrival, the front-desk clerk seemed bothered by our presence. When we requested a crib, he sighed and informed us that he would get to it when he had time, though there were no other guests at the desk. 20 minutes later, the crib was brought to the room by another staff member. It was not assembled, and we were given king bed linens to use (typically not recommended with babies). Fortunately, we had our own fitted sheet that we could use. The room, though clean, was not well-maintained. The handle to the bathroom door was broken and the edge somewhat jagged. The furniture was worn and stained. The carpet beneath the vent was pulling away from the wall and appeared to have been wet. The shower surround was stained where it joined the bathtub, and the drainage in the sink was poor. The alarm clock sounded at midnight, awakening the baby and causing a good bit of frustration. We had planned to mention concerns at check-out; however, we again had to wait for service and did not have time once we finally were able to speak with someone. Fortunately, we stayed at a discounted rate; however, we have had much better experiences with other similarly/better priced hotels in the area. Would not stay again. January 19, 2015

Spent most of my time in the room -- which was fine because there is not a lot of room in the lobby/public areas. Pool is small; however, lot's of room if you want to hang out by the indoor pool. Rated 3 out of 5 by 50/50 The room was great...very comfortable, clean and well maintained. The common areas were another thing. It looked like the vacuums must have broken because the elevator and other areas we strewn with debris. Lastly, the restaurant had one guy working (hosting, serving, billing. etc.) so service was practically non existant. November 19, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Better last time Stayed here twice in the last two weeks. 1st time was welcomed by a warm smile and friendly person named Ebony 11/4/14. 2nd time 11/15/14 the guy at the front desk didn't even look up at us until we stood in front of him. Seemed distracted. Exercise bike was broken, stuck in one fast gear. Club lounge was o.k., not as nice as others we've stayed at and couldn't get in 24/7 as promised because key didn't always work. Rated 2 out of 5 by If we hadn't been meeting family, would have chosen a different hotel Pros: easy to find even with construction in the area comfortable bed room was clean and quiet Cons: Booked a club level room and at check-in was assigned one on a different floor but told we'd have "club access". For the price we paid, I wanted the room we booked. Eventually we were given what we reserved but I don't think you should be downgraded with no explanation. If we hadn't questioned the room location, we wouldn't have known that we were not on a club floor until we got to the room. The ironic thing about that is that our confirmation email suggested we upgrade to the club level when we had already booked the club level. Taking care with the details makes a difference to guests. maintenance/service issues (TV in sitting area was not working well, paper and room service tray in the hallway for over a day, damaged arm on the chair at the desk) November 3, 2014
