I had a quick overnight stay - arrived late and checked out early. It is always a pleasure staying at the Sheraton Eau Claire in Calgary. The service is always great when I arrive, staff is friendly, and my sleep is excellent!
Valent parking is tight for people and taxis - a better logistics plan would be helpful.

My previous stay at Sheraton Eau Clair had been wonderful. Club Lounge was awesome. The best part of the stay was the advice about parking from staff when I checked in. This time, it was the complete opposite. I asked about the special deal with parking and was told I had to do that on-line. However, the on-line reservation pages were confusing and did not include the information I needed.
When I complained at the end of my stay, I was told that I should have said something when I checked in. Really?

After a long drive, my wife son and I were disappointed that there was not even a friendly "hello" by not one but THREE door staff when entering the hotel on Sunday night. Might have been our tattered look but for goodness sake, it's a hotel! Weird thing was, it was almost surreal with all the gloomy faces walking around there...must have been because they were working on the long weekend. On the plus side, the facility was nicely updated - room excellent and staff in the restaurant very pleasant.

I checked in June 13 for one night and Alberta Government made a reservation from June 14th to 17th. On 15th morning, I have asked to give me a wake up call at 6 am but no call! I almost missed the bus to go to the meeting at Banff Spring Hotel on that day. I have made a claim at your front desk and asked the cause of this failure but no response and no appologies from the manager.
General Manager, have you notified this problem? If so, please inform me the cause of this problem!

This is the 4th time I have stayed at the Sheraton Suites in Calgary. The bedroom is nice and the bed is comfortable. However, the living room could use updating and the pull out bed is not very comfortable. The pool is great for kids, especially the water slide. The front desk staff is very friendly and welcoming. However, the concierge service was awful. We asked for information on 2 "festivals" in the area. The first one, they didn't even know about and the second one, which was in the park next door to the hotel, they didn't have any information on the event. Very frustrating. We also asked for information on a local gov't agency and they had no idea where it was! I also felt that the woman at the concierge was rude which is surprising given that I find the people in Calgary to be so helpful and nice! Not sure I would stay at the Sheraton again.

Good location across from a YMCA (as the gym is quite small), a movie theatre, mall and a few decent restaurants. A few blocks to the heart of downtown, but short blocks. Connected to the +15 pathway so you can get places indoors until midnight.
If you are platinum, the club lounge isn't great. Didn't find the staff helpful and the eggs have been in a chafing dish for an hour and rock hard at all times.
The hotel is quieter than the Westin two blocks away, which is a mad house.

The rooms are perfect set-up... adequate size bedroom, bedroom that is private from the living space, nice dual access to the bathroom (from bedroom and from common area). Only part that is annoying is that these are nice hotels, surely wifi should be included in the room fee. Some others in the group that did pay for the wifi experienced spotty connection. This is a must-have for any hotel these days.

Overall, I would rate this hotel as good and comfortable, but quite expensive. The main problem is with the internet. For the five days that I was there, it was bad. When checking out, the two guys before me complained about it, as I did. The check- out lady could not have cared less. I understand charging the market rate for a nice hotel. But if you are going to pile a $16/night additional charge on top of that for internet, you should feel obligated to make it work.

Very disappointed at check in. we have been coming to this hotel for many years, and no recognition what's so ever we didn't get the room that we like to have and because we brought our puppy on one visit only, they continue to book us on the 2nd floor. the room facing the city was extremely noisey and we got very little sleep. first time there weren't 2 bottles of water in the bathroom and had to purchase one from the frigde

Aside from the excellent facilities (location, room, restaurants, gym), the staff goes above and beyond to help the customer. Check in and advice from the font desk were appreciated, but when I need an emergency repair to a pair of pants, the staff showed there true colors. An outside shop was contacted, my pants collected, taken for repair and returned within about an hour. Thanks Sheraton.

We came with an expectation of great customer service and a relaxing time during our stay, neither of which happened. Room was small for the price, bathtub did not drain,and no coffee cups in the room. During the night neighbours started to fight and stayed fighting and loud for a few hours. A gala was held at the hotel when we were there which made exiting and entering the building difficult. Not to mention having little to no access to parking.

Stayed here for Canada long weekend this July and this newly renovated and enhanced hotels is very nice!! Rooms are extremely comfortable and facilities really good. One thing I would ask them is keep a more warmer water temperature in the pool since it is used a lot by kids since they have slides and the pool was just a little too cold.

Not having stayed previously in Hong Kong in a hotel, we were prepared for a small sized room. We booked two rooms for the 4 of us. Our kids had a standard sized room and we were upgraded to a suite right beside it. We were pleasantly surprised that even the standard room was "North American sized". Both rooms were spacious and updated in style. The staff in the Club Lounge and in the restaurant where we enjoyed a daily breakfast buffet were very personable, knowing our names and very attentive to our needs. A couple of the Club Lounge staff even knew what my drink of choice would be every evening when we went there for a quick snack and drink. The buffet every morning was a highlight that we spoke highly of to all of our friends. I highly recommend this hotel if you are used to a more spacious hotel room and have high expectations of service.

The Sheraton Eau Claire is a full featured hotel. However, it is very expensive. They also charge for little things. When I pay $400+ per night, I expect that to include WiFi, breakfast and parking. Instead, all of those are extra. This puts it to easily $500/night. While the hotel is nice, it doesn't justify that price.

We have stayed in this hotel many times, every concern and issue we have had it was fixed or already fixed by the wonderful staff, great comfortable sleep, food is delicious, and staff are so friendly. Ian the general manager and his staff make the Sheraton Euclaire our this hotel our second home. We look forward to seeing you all again.

We have stayed at the Sheraton Eau Claire on a few occasions and each visit is better than the last. The rooms are impeccably clean and well appointed and the beds are extremely comfortable. The staff are wonderful - very polite, helpful and accommodating. This hotel is very close to Prince's Island Park which is a great place to go for a stroll along the river. We will be back the next time our lives bring us back to Calgary.

Everything was excellent until the morning came and one or two small dogs were barking in the room non-stop. It appeared to me that the owners had left the room and went for breakfast given the constant barking and no voices heard to quieten the dogs down. I am told that owners are supposed to sign waivers to not leave pets alone in the room but this did nothing to resolve my situation and the clerk simply said "sorry".

The staff of the Calgary Eau Claire are always welcoming and curteous. I've had many ocassions to stay at the hotel and appreciate being recognized as a regular. The rooms are comfortable and the house keeping staff do excellent work making the room look as though I've just checked in.

Really enjoyed our stay, staff are always helpful, room is comfortable and we really like the suite, our teenager can sleep in and my husband and myself can have coffee and visit in the morning. The change room at pool could use a bigger basket for the towels it was overflowing frequently. Valet parking was prompt and we enjoyed walking in the park. Been coming to this hotel for many years and will continue to do so.

There seems to be an increasing level of staff turnover at this hotel, which is creating some inconsistency of service. in addition, it looks as if small cost savings ideas have been implemented, which are having an impact on service level. Penny wise pound foolish.

Long wait at check in as only one staff at desk while others wandered around lobby.
Other staff finally appeared; not really very friendly - not welcomed back after numerous stays
Fitness centre a mess. Can't change channel on tv. No spray or paper towels to wipe down equipment. No paper cups for water. Dirty towel basket overflowing.
Best room service pizza I have had in years!

When I arrived at 10 pm on Wednesday for business meetings, there was not a room for a reservation I made several weeks before. I had booked 3 dates with customer meeting on all of the dates. I do not understand how you can boot someone with several other days reserved. I am a young business professional who just started traveling and I am looking to build a good relationship. I am disappointed in this start.

cleaning staff good, need new vacuum cleaner and cords. swimming pool was filthy, spoke to front desk but no change in quality next day. no pool attendant, kids running around with no supervision. swimming pool is very dangerous especially for young children. wouldn't recommend this place to families.

lovely hotel, attentive and helpful staff....but, thirty-seven dollars per night for valet parking, which is the only parking available, is outrageous in Calgary. Even Vancouver isn't this expensive. In a town where there is little truly effective public transit (like from the airport), either include parking in the rate (heaven forbid), or charge $20, even $22, but with tax, it was 39.90? Seriously...

I've stayed in several hotels during the last trip to Calgary and this suite is obviously the best. From room to service, everything is excellent. The only exception would be the internet as I always got an error when logging in the network which said wrong NAT configuration. I didn't dig into this issue but used my cell data instead but this kind of problem should not happen in a hotel at this level.

Had some room assignment difficulties and uncooperative staff at start BUT next day, Trevor and the whole staff were great! Switched rooms but also continued to take excellent care of our needs - frequent travelers and Sheraton converts after this experience! Club floors with breakfast only way to go. Will stay with you in Seattle/Vancouver in next 3 weeks. tx!
