When we arrived, all rooms which were available were blocked. The front desk had allowed 12 people to check in without putting it in the computer.
It took 70 minutes to check in our group.
There were 2 drunks in the lobby who were bothering the desk clerk. I asked her to be confidential about our room number and she announced it where all could hear.
She was on the phone for 20 minutes in the back trying to get someone to help her. In the meantime these 2 drunks were harassing her and us. This place needed a bouncer. There were also people hanging out in the parking lot who weren't guests at the hotel.

We stayed at this hotel while picking our son up at Charlotte Airport. The staff was extremely friendly and we were welcomed before we even arrived. When we did arrive we were welcomed to a beautifully remodeled room and a glass of wine in the Club Lounge. We took the hotel shuttle to the airport to pick up our son. The weather and traffic were terrible but the shuttle driver knew exactly when and how to get to the airport to meet him. His timing was perfect. When we got back to the hotel the restaurant was still open even though it was after 11 PM so our son was able to get something to eat. We will definitely stay at this hotel the next time we are in Charlotte!

We only stayed one night but wish we had the time to stay longer. Hotel is beautiful, the room was beautiful and the beds slept wonderful..... guess my word for the hotel is WONDERFUL..... would recommen highly.

I stayed two nights (November 4-5) as part of an Amnesty International conference. Staff at the hotel were -- without fail -- hospitable, efficient and skilled. Every individual I interacted with, from the courtesy van driver, to the bar staff, to the clerks at the front desk was excellent.
Would I had taken advantage of the indoor/outdoor pool during this visit. Maybe next time.
A few suggestions for improvement:
1) An increased supply of flatware (silver) at buffet meals; and
2) The ability to activate and extinguish interior room light(s) from the entrance; and
3) Replenished complimentary coffee when linen change is declined.

I prepaid my room fee. At check -in I was offered an inexpensive upgrade which included access to the honors lounge. The wine, apps, and hot breakfast more than made up for the cost. My only complaints are very minor. First, many of us who stay at this airport hotel are disinclined---or unable---to get to a restaurant outside the hotel. The bar food is excellent---I highly recommend the crab cakes!!! Can you expand the menu to include more mid-priced options? Also, please please please reopen the hot tub!!! Otherwise this is a beautiful, even luxurious, hotel. I return again and again and look forward to my next stay.

This hotel has the advantage of a very convenient location near the airport as well as a nice lobby and restaurant. Beds were clean and very comfortable. Unfortunately, both of our rooms smelled strongly of mildew and the carpets were badly stained and grimy. For that reason alone I would avoid staying there again.

This hotel feels and look 5 star. The renovations of this hotel are simply marvelous. The entrance is so inviting. The staff are very professional and courteous. The rooms are spacious and clean with everything you will need for your stay. The beds and pillows are so comfortable, you fall asleep immediately.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Ruth50 Beautiful hotel , but experience spoiled by one person
Beginning with being picked up from the airport and continuing with check in , every thing was wonderful. then on Friday evening, one person on the front desk was not very. Nice. I was very upset with the person and the same person on Saturday afternoon. when I asked for a late check out she was not as nice as I think she should have been. her demeanor was sour. I was very disappointed because all other dealing with the front desk had been so pleasant . This is the first time in awhile I have stayed at a this hotel and I am looking for another hotel to stay because I no longer will be staying at another competitors.
