Beautiful lobby, bar, indoor pool, & conference rooms, but I stay at a hotel to sleep. Should’ve spent some of the very aesthetically pleasing lobby & indoor pool money on insulation for the inside walls between the guest rooms & outside walls from the traffic. And if check in time is at 3p, why wasn’t my $$$$ room ready?
I spent the night before a seminar at this hotel. Arrived at 9:30 pm for check in after a 4 hr drive & working all day. Had to wait 20 mins because my “club level” room wasn’t ready. They gave me a complimentary beverage at their very nice bar. The room decor & layout was okay, but Manhattan priced. Got to sleep at midnight, but was awoken at 4:15 am to a TV blaring in the adjoining room. Called the desk to complain. 40 mins later the TV was turned down, but I couldn’t to back to sleep & had to get up at 7 for an all day conference & a 4 hr drive home. There wasn’t a manager to take my complaint. It was a Saturday, but I guess managers are off on the weekends? Anyway, if I had more time I'd talk about the traffic noise from the interstate. I attended a Military Ball with my husband at this property and found myself disappointed. I work as a Rev Mgr in the industry and my first impression of the hotel was okay, until we checked into our room. The lobby was nice with an atrium and fountains. There were signs showing what to expect with the hotels new renovations that were being done. I guess we were placed in a room that had not been remodeled yet. The wall paper was coming off the walls, there was black mold under the sink, and the AC unit was making the room humid and damp. The banquet was also just okay. They could have timed bringing out the food better than what had occured. Let's put it this way, the banquet staff brought out the salads during the NC Battalion Commandors speech and not one person was able to hear what he was saying because of the clinking of salad plates hitting the tables. That's almost as insulting as making noise while the President is speaking. I ordered the steak and it was more than over cooked. I realize cooking for that many ppl is treaky, but the cost per person was around $45 each and the expectation was not met. Although we did have fun at the ball, I'm not sure if we would stay here again. I would hope that the upcoming updates would bring this property back to its full potential. I also think more training is needed for the banquet staff.

We only stayed one night but wish we had the time to stay longer. Hotel is beautiful, the room was beautiful and the beds slept wonderful..... guess my word for the hotel is WONDERFUL..... would recommen highly.

I have stayed at this hotel Monday-Thursday for the past 2+ years and cannot say enough about the staff at this hotel. The front desk staff is so attentive, genuine, and knowledgeable. The same goes for the lounge staff and housekeeping - they're wonderful. If you are a business traveler and your work location is outside of 'Uptown' itself, I would highly recommend staying here. The hotel just began renovations on the rooms so I'm sure they'll be even better when those are complete!

Arrived in Charlotte late 1 am due to flight problems.Airport Transportation was great. FRONT DESK GOT ME TO MY ROOM QUICKLY.The beds were wonderful. Room exceeded expectations. I will return.

Back, when the economy was better, I would come to Charlotte a few times a year for pleasure. I had stayed at a few hotels before discovering the Airport Sheraton. A very clean hotel where you have the opportunity to sleep in the most comfortable bedding in the industry. Whenever I am in Charlotte, I stay at the Airport Sheraton.

All of your staff members are very friendly. I would like to recognize Rena Crawford in the club lounge. She is very personable and attentive to your needs while she is working in the lounge. This week, I overheard her conversation with another guest in the lounge at breakfast. She remembered a comment the guest had made the night before and she engaged in a conversation with him during his breakfast. I also must recognize your front desk staff . Lupita Hall , Sabrina Mills and Saysi Morales do an excellent job. I really feel at home when I walk in the front door. They always ask me how my day was going. Many times they ask about my wife and where I am going next . They always thank me for being a Platinum member.
