We stay here frequently and normally the room and service is very good. Our issue with this stay is that the heating system was running very hot. We had the room temperature set at 66 and we were both uncomfortably warm. I changed to 64 and no improvement. We normally like sleeping in on a Saturday morning but it was just uncomfortable so we decided to get ready. After taking a shower, we noticed they had no bath towels in the room. We used hand towels and pool towels from the night before. - disappointing. We are platinum and we tried to have some breakfast at 10 am in the club room - there was hardly anything left so we went to breakfast elsewhere. Just a very disappointing stay.

I used to stay in this hotel everychance I got when my company would allow me to, and the facilities have gone down hill so bad I hate staying in this hotel, the rooms need to be renovated and the breakfast staff and food is terriable

Enjoyed our entire stay. Everything was updated, clean and very comfortable. All staff members were helpful and very pleasant. Would definitely return for another stay!!

Located on the Plaza, we hardly need our car when visiting. The staff is super friendly and very accommodating. I like that all rooms are suites.

My husband and I have stayed here on previous trips to Kansas City, this is the only hotel we will stay at when we come. We love the location and the hotel. Every staff member we came into contact with was smiling and friendly and made our weekend that much better. I cannot say enough nice things about the customer service we received, it was beyond excellent. I was in the sundries shop and witnessed front desk staff dealing with a difficult customer. They were so nice and went above and beyond to make the gentleman happy. I was truly impressed with their professionalism, and felt sorry for them that such an angry person was giving them grief. They handled it perfectly. We will most definitely be back.

This hotel is in the middle of everything, walking distance for shopping, eating, and entertainment. the rooms are very comfortable which allows for a relaxing visit. This property is worth the money.

The staff at the hotel did a great job. My 7-year-old son and I visited Kansas City for an overnight trip. The club level cost $20 more but was a great value considering the happy hour and breakfast. The staff was responsive. My only complaint is that we had difficulty ordering a movie. While the staff was dilligent in helping, the problem took several telephone calls, nearly one hour and two in-room visits from the engineering department. After that, I would expect the movie to be comped but that is a small quarrel.

I am a frequent Starwood guest, but this was my first time at this hotel. I would not stay there again despite the good location right on the plaza. I was given what had to be one of the worst rooms in the hotel, on the 3rd floor. Instead of a nice view of the plaza, all I could see was the roof over the lobby and the various utilities and ducts on it. It is also the conference room floor, and while it wasn't noisy I just don't like being right next to all the meetings rooms.
The first morning of my stay I could not get the hot water working in my room and took a cold shower because I was in a hurry and couldn't wait for facilities. The front desk staff didn't seem overly concerned with this but did send somebody up to verify that it was working later that evening.
The room itself is pretty dated, but clean. For a suite it is pretty small.
The final insult on this trip was not getting the Starwood extra points for making a green choice.
