Rated 2 out of 5 by surprised, and not in a good way My daughter and I decided to stay at this Sheraton because it was in close proximity to an event we were going to. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. The hotel lobby was fine and I have to give props to the front desk staff because they were very friendly and accommodating. However, my daughter and I decided to visit the hotel pool and I was horrified. First we went into the pool bathroom to change because our room was not ready yet. The bathroom was beyond disgusting. The stalls looked like they hadnt been cleaned in a month. I will spare you the details. The pool itself was absolutely filthy too. There were leaves IN the pool which I found interesting because it was an indoor pool. There were two crumpled plastic cups on the floor of the pool also and black gunk on the edges. When we were able to check into our room, we went up. There were dirty plates, glasses and a burned candle sitting next to our door.. We did check in early so I wasn't that bothered by that. I figured that housekeeping would get to it in time. We entered our room and it looked okay until we opened the refrigerator and found a molded salad in there. Clearly housekeeping didn't think to clean out the refrigerator. (this lead me to wonder what else they didn't clean!) Later that evening, after dinner, I went into the hotel restaurant to get my daughter an ice cream to go. I ordered it and waited, and waited and waited. I asked twice where the ice cream was and was told it was on its way. 15 minutes past and no ice cream. (they were not busy so I didnt understand what the hold up was) We finally left empty handed. (we left the hotel to get dessert) when we returned, it was past 9 in the evening. We go up to our room and the dirty dishes were gone but there was a overturned dirty glass and the burned candle still sitting next to our door. (which by the way, was still there the next morning) I have stayed at Sheraton Hotels before and have always had a good experience but this visit changed my mind about this hotel chain. There is no excuse for the uncleanliness that we witnessed. July 22, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Disappointed I was very disappointed with my stay at the hotel. I have stayed in Sheraton's before but never had a bad experience. Our room was dirty(the windows, shower, and furniture quite dusty). I bug was found in my bed. I proceeded to take it down to the front desk. The woman at the desk went to get the manager so I could speak with them. All the manager could say to me was, "what do you want us to do about this"? This schocked me. An I'm sorry, maybe a free meal or some of my bill being subtracted would have been what I would have expected. The bar area, the floor was extremely sticky and the tables not clean. We waited for a half a hour to be able to sit for breakfast, as no tables were clean. I am sorry to say, I did not have a good experience at this hotel. May 23, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Do not stay at this hotel This hotel is in desperate need of improvement or should not be an SPG property. Upon my arrival, I was told I was "upgraded" to the suite, The suite was outdated with worn carpeting, track lighting above the bed, furniture that had been there for at least 20 years. Some weird "ditch" that ran through the middle of the room. I changed rooms and was moved to the 6th floor. Which was better, but still everything was just a bit worn. The place needs an update. The lounge had over-cooked eggs, under-cooked potatoes and absolutely no meat options. I see the place is up for sale. SPG should give serious consideration to not letting it have the Sheraton name on it. May 9, 2016

Rated 3 out of 5 by Hotel was just okay First room had issues with door locks, dead bolt would not go in, giving another room, second room, room key was hard to work, key had to be reprogramed twice within the four days that I was there. Just saying I was not happy. January 13, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very Enjoyable Stay Room was nicely furnished and comfortable both for leisure and business purposes. Beds were very comfortable. Plenty of free parking available. Only deficiency was there was no coffee available in the lobby - you had to wait for the restaurant to open. Major restaurant chains are all located within a mile or two of the hotel. HIghway access in all directions very convenient August 24, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by The best hotel in the area We are repeat guests at this Sheraton for our frequent visits to nearby Ocean Grove. Reservations well in advance are essential for summer weekends, which are mostly sold out here. Food is very good and portions are quite generous in the small, windowless JR's Restaurant, but it's a pity that the much larger, airy main dining room is only open for breakfast. The hotel entrance on northbound Rt. 35 is poorly lighted at night and easily missed -- but if you pass it, you can make a right turn on Industrial Way. July 6, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by This hotel needs a serious update to linens, rooms and club lounge. I have been a convert to Starwood because I feel like no matter where I go, a hotel within this family will be clean, updated and business class ready. Although I think this Sheraton was probably best in class 10 years ago, it is time for a renovation and update to the linens and decor. I had two towels with a hole in each, and you know that feeling you get when you are sleeping in clean sheets--that crispness and fresh smell--I did not experience that at this Sheraton. Now, with that said, I am sure the sheets were laundered and towels as well, but it just didn't "feel" that way. Also the club lounge food seemed a bit dated and although abundant in quantity, it just didn't look appetizing. I want cocktail hour to have finger food and tapas, not steak slathered in gravy and ham salad. Just a personal preference. Positives are that there was plenty of complimentary water and the desk was very nice. The TV also worked very well and the a/c kept the room chilly. The staff was very friendly and my coworker's TV didn't work and they sent someone right away and fixed it, he was very happy. Overall, the price point at a low $89/night seemed fair for what I got in return and will most likely stay here again to see how it improves and because it is the only Starwood for miles.
