Rated 1 out of 5 by the customer is never right I was, for some reason, placed in a room located next to a suite full of guys on a bachelor party. If this had been on a Friday or Saturday night then perhaps I would have been able to accept the noise. On a Thursday, however, I was neither willing nor able to do so. At about 1:30am I was finally relocated to another room, in which the awful smell was made tolerable only by the situation I had just left. I was granted a $35 discount for my troubles. I've stayed at this hotel many many times, but I am actively searching for a replacement hotel in the area. July 29, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by They get loyalty This hotel did something that rendered me speechless. I booked a suite for friday and used points to book another room saturday. For my platinum amenity, I asked to simply stay in the same room. They did me one better. They said yes then reduced my rate for the first night to the wedding party rate! I paid half price for a suite and got it for two nights! I spent money in the restaurant several times to say thanks. And, the staff here, is excellent. Very accommodating and down to earth even when I almost missed the wedding and was freaking out! October 7, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by pretty average, nothing spectacular the hotel & its decor are slightly dated. the staff was friendly, but their system did not reflect my gold status, so i didnt get bonus starpoints or late check-out. there was a rattle in the wall, not related to the HVAC system (it rattled even when the heat/ac was turned off). also i wish they would spread out the guests better. i was on a floor that was practically empty, yet they put a family with 3 children in the room immediately next to me. i know there were lots of open/empty rooms on the floor. Rated 1 out of 5 by IS THIS REALLY A SHERATON?? I have never been so disappointed. I travel quite frequently for business and personal. Once I arrived to my room. I was taken back by 70's pink, light blue and pearl wall paper. I opened my room door to stains on the drop ceiling; an old smell;dated curtians; wood door to the bathroom with peeling paint; old carpet; formica bathroom counter tops and anything that was chrome in the bathroom was rusted. THe front desk had me try another room and it was just as bad. I left and stayed at the Staybridge across the parking lot. August 2, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Needs designated parking for guests and updated rooms In general, enjoy this hotel and have stayed here on more than one occasion. Club lounge renovation is wonderful but some of the rooms on that floor need some refreshing. Lack of designated parking for hotel guests is a problem. Returning to the hotel while they are hosting one of their many events leaves little to no convenient parking and one is left to hike to the hotel. When you are carrying luggage and children this becomes challenging. Should consider a complementary valet for guests when parking becomes challenging. January 28, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Nothing special, contract issues If this hotel wants to be use during weddings and have wedding blocks they need to learn to cooperate and communicate with their clients. A couple who books at large quality of rooms should have their bridal suite covered by the hotel. If the bridal party is getting ready at the hotel and they leave before the check in time, the Sheraton should actually make an effort ahead of time to accommodate those guest. This hotel needs to up their game If they want people to use them as their hotels for wedding hotel blocks. August 5, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Location for Jersey Shore goers We have been coming to this hotel for many years several times a summer to enjoy the Jersey Shore without the headache of driving back and forth for day trips. The updates to the hotel were much needed and the club lounge is so much better. There is still room for improvement especially the pool and hot tub. The floor is very slippery and always has water on it probably due to the poor drainage. Drains are clogged and we even saw maintainace push water into the hot tub (disgusting). The pool needed to be warmer- was very cold - if they wanted to keep the outdoor pool open which is connecting then they have to heat it!!! We were unable to enjoy the pool this trip. Also, front desk staff could be nicer and recognize that we come to this hotel often and are gold level spg. September 24, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by friendly staff The staff was very friendly. It was a busy night when we stayed and that was reflected in our experience with this stay. We checked in,went to our room and someone else was in it! We went back down to reception and told them , they took $50.00 off our room and gave us another room. When we checked out the women gave us a copy of our bill and it had a $50.00 food bill on it that wasnot ours.She did take that off our bill. The hotel is older and needs updating however it was clean and the staff was friendly. July 15, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by not impressed Initially I was turned off because website posted that hor dourves were served in the evening. When I got there, I was told I had to have club status. The room was nicely furnished but bed had a moldy smell and bed was uncomfortable. The pool area looked great but pool had so much chlorine in it that my eyes burned just standing outside of the pool. Jacuzzi had debris in it was same temperature of the pool. This is a nice hotel in a great location but needs more improvements to get me to stay there again. July 29, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Way overpriced for dated rooms Overall staff was very friendly and helpful however the rooms were very plain and not what expected for price paid. Way overpriced. Toiletries very sparse,had three people and not enough coffee, cups or toiletries for guests. Door to bathroom opens very awkward constantly in the way with entering and exting the room, can't enter room when bathroom door is left open or have both open at same time. Rooms were very plain, small, cramped and double beds too small for two adults. would not recommend for price we paid. Would not recommend for wedding guests many guests felt the rooms were very outdated and not at all worth price paid. You expect a little more luxury for the amount of money spent per night. 4 wedding parties and only one bar tender working in bar, very long wait for drinks June 24, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Room very nice; cafe freezing in winter The room was nice enough, but don't plan to eat breakfast in the cafe during the winter. It was so cold everyone wore their coats. I thought the heat was not working, but staff said this is just the way it is in the winter. Wasted the money I prepaid for breakfast because it was too cold to stay in the restaurant. Also, I had a question about my bill, called and left a message and no one ever returned my call. Small things, but combined they didn't leave me with a great feeling about service. February 1, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by The hotel was over crowded with unpleasant people. I know it is holiday time but, there is no excuse for what went on while my family stayed at this hotel. The bulk of the guests staying here were nasty & unpleasant. All of there children were wild, unruly, and disrespectful. When we were trying to check out the children were playing with the elevators and made it near impossible to go up or down to check out and load my car. We were very disappointed , we came from Georgia for a wedding and the hotel ruined our time. December 18, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Staff is extraordinary. First room had a bathroom with a distinct odor, bath water from shower wouldn't drain and a light bulb missing which we reported next morning. We were staying one more night for a wedding. The staff was exceptional--immediately maintenance was called, he deemed the room unsuitable, so they found us another room on the same floor; and while we packed, the head of housekeeping got us a luggage cart and keys and offered to send up a bellman. The new room was perfect. Kudos to the staff. October 1, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Hotel for Business Traveler The hotel has good rates and exercise facility, very nice staff, who are very responsive. The only issue is that the rooms need some touch ups, particularly the ceilings. The paint is peeling and water stains can be seen in a number of places. If you like to workout in the room, there is plenty of space to do so. March 1, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by bad experience -Room smelled like cigarette smoke -The door to my room was damaged -my room was not made up -I purchased a "club" package deal that included club acccess and free breakfast but it was not on my reservation when I arrived. I had to find my confirmation, which said I had club access. I was treated rudly by the receptionist who seemed to be accusing me of lying, and then the manager who kept telling me I don't get club access on that rate code. I could care less what the "rate code" is. I know what I purhcased, and I had my confirmation to prove it. They were very rude, made me come back down to the front desk after long flight, and I had to stand there for 20 minutes while they argued with me about my rate code before they finally gave me club access as I paid for. overall, not a great hotel experience. Rated 4 out of 5 by Well Equiped This hole is well appointed as one would expect from a Starwood hotel. The staff was friendly and responsive. My only complaint is that there were some spots showing quite a bit of wear. Nothing that impacted the quality of my stay but a couple of things could use some repair or replacement. Rated 3 out of 5 by SPG GOLD UPGRADE TERRIBLE STAYED TWICE THIS WEEK. PAID FOR KING SIZE BED WITH SITTING AREA. ASKED FOR UPGRADE BOTH TIMES and WAS TOLD THAT MY UPGRADE WAS A KING SIZE BED WITH SITTING AREA. WHEN I SAID I WAS ALREADY PAYING FOR THAT, I WAS TOLD IT WAS A MORE SPACIOUS AREA. BOTH STAYS I WAS GIVEN THE SAME ROOM NUMBER. IT WAS AN ACCESSIBLE ROOM FOR SOMEONE IN A WHEEL CHAIR. THAT IS NOT AN UPGRADE. THAT IS A DOWNGRADE. IN ADDITION THE BATHROOM IS IN SERIOUS NEED OF AN UPGRADE, AS WELL. July 13, 2013

Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice, but Noisy The hotel was beautiful and the room was well kept and comfortable. The only issue was that the walls of our room seemed to be really thin. We did not arrive until after midnight, but could not sleep for a couple of hours as we clearly heard the argument in the room to the left and a small party to the right (Including when people spoke at a regular volume). I did speak to the front desk around 2am and I am grateful as it was much better after that. August 8, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by This hotel needs bathroom renovations Staff was excellent. My problem was with the bathroom. Door opens to outside and blocks room entrance and going in and out within room. You had to keep closing door. Also, bathroom ceiling had paint chiping off, bath/shower area had mold spots that need to be cleaned thoroughly and it really didn't find the bathroom well cleaned. This just wasn't my room. It appeared the same in many friends room on 4th and 5th floors. I stayed on the 3rd. June 9, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Overall Stayed for a month with FEMA. The staff was excellent and rooms were nice and clean. Parking was mediocre as this was a business/convention center. Many times, guests were forced to park a good distance from the entrance due to business meetings.This is a good hotel for a business person, but not for an extended stay, such as disaster response personnel. There is no washer dryer facility and free breakfast only Monday thru Friday. March 2, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Worse experience i have had with spg hotel I am a platinum member and own a spg vacation home. The front dest people the day of check in were rude arrogant and she not work for spg. Not onmy were they gonna charge me over $200 for the room when my confirm said $92, they would not upgrade me. The worse part is that I asked for a manager and she kept me waiting for 20 minutes. I will be complaining to platinum services on Monday. Horrific! December 22, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Overall, the hotel stay was pretty good, except, see below We had one major issue. Went down to pool in evening and came back to room and DOOR WAS OPEN. Yes - OPEN. Not by us, we closed it when left room. Continued inside room and found management put came in while we were out and brought up a microwave and refrigerator - which we did not request. We were very upset - and called down to front desk. They said they obviously had entered wrong room. We were not happy after this incident. August 23, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good hotel with some room for improvement This past stay might have been my fourth or fifth in the last twelve months and it is rather awkward to have to say that some of the Staff at the Reception,even upon check in,does not make a SPG Gold member feel somewhat welcome and special. I travel frequently and have never received such a cold impersonal treatment. A little polishing up and improvement in their public relations skills would not be a bad idea. Furthermore,the inconvenience of having a non functional ice machine on the Club floor where I was staying and having to run down to the fourth floor every time I needed ice did not contribute at making my stay very comfortable. Another feature which I think should be part of the rooms is a personal safe. The parking situation was totally catastrophic friday and saturday night.We were obliged to have to park in the parking lot of the neighboring hotel. August 29, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Needs Improvement My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a wedding we recently attended in the area. Considering the high cost of the room rates, my expectations were that the room would reflect the rate that was charged. We received a room with chipping paint and a moldy odor, hardly up to par. If we did not have an event to get to, I would have requested a room change. I would not recommend this hotel to friends staying in the area. July 25, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Quite average I have stayed at much nicer Sheraton's in the past. The decor is very dated and service very average. The restaurant staff was very pleasant however. Would probably choose a newer hotel if returning to the area to stay. While they do have nice bedding on top of you, the actual mattress was typical bad hotel mattress so not very comfortable. Overall, the hotel was just average. Nothing exceeding expectations. November 4, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great staff! The hotel is really nice and the staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. Even in the face of a upset guest the staff was most really friendly and treated everyone with class! The restaurant and bar staff were the greatest! I enjoyed hanging out with them and the food was excellent! I booked another weeks stay here! I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable room and excellent people!
