Rated 5 out of 5 by Staff particularly cordial Although I only stayed one night and encountered no difficulties whatsoever, I found the staff to be particularly cordial and helpful. Each one, to include the wonderful men in the valet garage, made me feel comfortable and welcome. The front desk staff were also most attentive. May 12, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Hotel for Non-Business Traveler This hotel deserves highest marks in everything that counts with me for a personal trip: comfortable room/beds, great very responsive staff, quiet rooms and very Starwood Elite friendly. My wife loves the Asian décor. It also is surprisingly convenient to Manhattan via subway (about half a block down the street, and about a 30- 45 minute ride which costs only $2.25 each way – or half this if you are senior). Compared to the $35-40 cab fare from LaGuardia to a Manhattan hotel this is a great bargain. Also if you use points & dollars room is very economical. There are a few minor things that may bother a business traveler, however: the in -room high speed WI-FI is erratic and undependable (got notices to try later system was at capacity etc.). Only one visible plug in bedroom…and that was on desk lamp that was plugged into an outlet with a lot of other things. The concierge lounge is small (two families seem to fill it) and there was no decaf coffee while we were there. June 17, 2012

Rated 4 out of 5 by Geat Staff Spent 3 nights at this property in early June. I was very impressed with all the staff throughout the hotel. The front desk and bell staff were excellent. Kevin and Jeff went out of their way to help us and answer all our questions, However, the spirit of service runs throughout the building. Great job. June 12, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Best of the Best Over the past 2 years coming to this hotel, it never amazes me how they continue providing the best services, staff and rooms. There are other hotels in the area, but I would trade off this hotel. Starwood is very fortunate to have this hotel and staff in their organization. Keep up the great work. May 5, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by don't bring a dog Though this hotel billled itself as pet-friendly, one should absolutely not bring a dog. The doors to ALL the room slam shut very loudly, which prompts many, if not most, dogs to bark loudly. This happened with our dog and kept us up all night. Instructions on how to reset the thermostat may be helpfull . The hotel staff was always pleasant , helpfull and professional . Unfortunately the hotel does not have a spa or pool . November 2, 2012

Room thermostat was set at 100 degrees. i.e. bottled water in the room was warm. Took too long to be moved. Upon movement to new room was offered 2500 points. Should have had the room for free. The room was clean and the mattress was soooo comfortable! Their restaurant serves good tasting food and there is a mall located inside the hotel. What more could you want? October 23, 2013

The location cannot be beat, both for airport proximity (the free shuttle was great) and easy access to Manhattan, not to mention the incredible local food. We will almost certainly be back. Rated 4 out of 5 by Just like family On December 23rd, our flight home was cancelled last minute and we needed to find a place to stay for the night. It was already past 9:00pm and our children were tired and disappointed that we may not make it home for Christmas. I called Starwood and arranged for a hotel close to the airport. The room was booked within minutes by a friendly and competent gentleman. When we finally reached the hotel after long lines and waiting at the airport, we were greeted by the wonderful staff who welcomed us with open arms. Although our flight cancellation had nothing whatsoever to do with the Sheraton, the staff worked hard to compensate us for our disruption in in travel - much more than the airline did. We felt that even though we were not at home, we were at the home of a family member. We felt that you cared. We cannot say enough about the staff at the hotel - checking in and checking out and the gentleman who drove us to the airport the next day - they are the reasons why we are loyal to Starwood. Thank you! PS We made it home for Christmas. January 6, 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by Needs improvement When my hustand tried to take a shower, he realized that the shower wasn't working, and it was late we didn't know how long it would take to fix it, and we were all tired. I understand these things do happened, but it can be prevent. To avoid this happened, I suggest house keeper should check all facilities to make sure it works, for instance, turn on the shower, flush the toilet, etc, to make sure everything is working. Also, we stayed in room 1021, last room close to the ice machine. I wasn't sure it was the exit door or the room door, it kept bangging every time someone walked by. This would cause disturbance to any guests who stays in those rooms, but if you can put a door strip on the door it will help eliminate the annoyance banging. I think this was so noticible because my son was sick so we staying in the room most of the time. Anyway, in general, I enjoyed every stay at the Sheraton Laguardia East Hotel. I have no complain, These are just my suggestions. If you can look into these issues, I bet your guests can enjoy a lot more. Thanks April 18, 2013
