Unless you are a mid- east oil baron....do not stay here....as soon this facility found the stay was booked on points they treated us as if we had typhoid
Six hours to check in....and understand at this hotel..when the website says 200PM check in the front desk will tell you it is whenever the room they want to stick you in opens up (that was 430 for us)
The room had many issue...lights that did not work...climate controls that did not work....and three days of complaints did not get them fixed
One of the butler took a cell call and left when delivering our morning tea....they lost our laundry
And our breakfast was ruined by the staff allowing loud cell phone calls taking place in the dining area
Staff was rude and unhelpful....hotel's and SPG's response was basically- so what
My response- never again at this hotel and after 12 years a Starwood's Platinum Member- will never again stay at a Starwood's facility

I had a room with a king size bed confirmed in writing months in advance. I had also emailed with the hotel prior to request an upgrade and was told that I would receive one if available. Upon arrival, there was "no room with a king size bed" and they "do not do upgrades". I feel cheated. I would have gone to another hotel that would have given me the bed size I was paying for. Totally unacceptable. The rooms are overly fussy and my butler was a bit snooty. The bathroom toiletries are full of chemicals (parabens) and fragrance which I am allergic to and had also emailed with the hotel in regards to months in advance. And while the toiletries were in gorgeous dispensers, this is not sanitary. The bathroom was uncomfortable and much too small. No view. I was at the least entitled to an enhanced room with my gold and I am certain I did not receive that either. I went there thinking if I liked it I would extend and stay for a few days or a week but I was so disappointed I left the next morning. I won't be back. Too bad, great location but to not be given the room that was booked is totally unacceptable!!

I guess you can call this hotel a St.Regis. But stay at the St.Regis Singapore or Osaka and tell me this is a St.Regis! Also, no SPG recognition makes me wonder why is this hotel even on the SPG website? Lurkers, I am talking to you!
I stayed here only for one night and bolted for somewhere else the next day. However, that's not an indictment of the hotel. It just was not the hotel for me!
This is one of those smei-SPG hotels which offer essentially nothing in the form of privileges or amenities to Plats. No upgrades or point usage for hotel offers. The friendly staff let you know that your SPG platinum status is rubbish to them!
But it really is a nice little quite hotel at a good residential location with very low occupancy ( I wonder why). If you know London well or just want to be in a "home" style setting, close enough to the high-end shopping district, the Lanseborough might be your choice. But if you are intending to have fun or have Platinum expectations like I did, skip the Lansborough and hit the W or Park Lane respectively! :)
This hotel does not meet category 5 expectations and is unclear why it even is on SPG roster other than due to its name.

The hotel is very classy but seem like do not have the friendly feeling. our room on the lowest floor that with bad view. The size is not that spacious even that they saying that we have been upgraded. Doubt about it.
The bed is not a king bed but join with 2 bed & lucky comfortable.
We did not have the breakfast but when check out they saying we have taken it & may waive the charges.
Bathroom small size too but with jacuzzi.

We stayed at the Lanesborough for 3 nights with our 3 mths old baby and were very disappointed with the staff and the room. The only highlight was the concierge who booked 2 dinners in the best restaurants.
Being a gold member and traveling with a young baby, I asked for an upgrade which I was refused due to the lack of space. Talking to another manager 2 days later, they confirmed that the upgrade could have been easily accommodated when we arrived.
The butler service is nice, but EXTREMELY slow. I usually had to wait 20-30 minutes to get ice. Also, one night coming back to our room, the couple next to us were fighting and screaming. The butler was knocking on their door, but they never calmed down. We called the manager 1 hr after and nothing was done...they screamed until early in the morning.
House keeping was also disappointing...specifically turn down service. I came back to my room at 11pm one night with no turn down service. I called the butler who told me it would be done immediately. We went downstairs for 30 minutes ( with a young baby) and came back with nothing done. We called the manager who also told us it would be done immediately. Another 30 minutes later and nothing was done...we finally decided to forget about it.
The "library" service was another disappointment. After asking if I could come in with my baby at 6pm when only 3 people were in the bar, I was asked to leave 30 minutes after because my baby was "talking" - and she was not even crying -. The gentlemen who escorted me out was extremely rude and inconsiderate.
The room amenities was also disappointing. Its the first hotel that I see "refillable" Shampoo, Conditioner, Bodywash, etc...There was a fly in the bodywash bottle when I first opened it...
I cannot comment on the food as we decided not to eat there. Overall, extremely disappointed with this hotel which is supposed to be one of the best in London. I traveled many places with my babies and NEVER had an issue...Kids don't seem to be welcome in this hotel.

Steps away from everything central !
Shopping ? Harrods, Harvey Nics
Stroll or bike ride? Hyde Park
Sights? Buckingham Pal
Tube? Entrance is under the hotel !
Furthermore the history of the hotel is brilliant and did I say architecture?
They look after Platinums. Breakfast, upgrades, amazing.
Breakfast was incredible. It was without doubt the best continental breakfast I have ever had and makes one want to order such a breakfast. Warm croissants, perfect toast, magnificent muffins.
The rooms are spectacular. Upgraded to a junior suite I enjoyed the books on offer in the bedside bookcases.
The only downer was the misinformation staff gave me about the facilities. We were told the hotel does not have a steam or sauna. Upon check out I was told they did which was annoying!

An elegant property on Hyde Park corner, the Lanesborough exudes an air of understated yet impeccable English refinement.
Everything from the common areas, rooms, staff and service exceeded our expectations. In-room breakfast was copious and delicious and a first class selection of films (Inglorious B asterds) helped to distract us from the notorious oxymoron that is London summer weather.
We will be back, if only to remedy the omission of a mythic dining experience at Apsleys (we sorely regret choosing a different restaurant during our stay!)

Location, location, location. Cannot be beaten in its location.
Simply splendid to have such a historic and grand property available in London.
SPG recognition is alive and well here.
The suite was magnificent.
Unlike some of the St Regis which can sometimes feel new and plastic, this feels grand and grounded in history. I particularly enjoyed the bookcase filled with good reads.
Small touches - personalized stationary,in residence cards, breakfast.
The complimentary continental breakfast was the best ever I've had. Choc. croissants arrive warm and melt in the mouth. Juice was fresh as if just squeezed when ordered.
Service was extremely professional.
