The noisiest hotel I have ever stayed at. I only stay at 5 star hotels and this was extremely disappointing! I called and asked if there was construction going on and was told no, so I made a reservation but when I got to the hotel there was construction, even during the night. When I called and checked in I made a point to request a quiet room but that was not honored.

Everything was even more amazing that I ever expected it, the staff was super attentive and nice, the room was big and very comfortable, everything super clean.

The location of the hotel is perfect.
Rooms are well equipped and very clean.
The fitness center and pool are well equipped, super.

The hotel itself has many pluses. But the hot water to the room was problematic and made my stay negative. I couldn't even take a shower one day, because the water once it heated up could not be turned down by the nob. I called and the tech said it was working, then he should take a shower. The construction noises started a little before 7:30am each day. I understand that can not be controlled but was another negative. And the blackout curtains, did not completely blackout the light. The beds were fantastic the floor plan was great, the hotel itself is impressive. But with all the choices in San Francisco and even though we stayed on the friends plan, I won't be back.

At check in, we were told that our room was clean but needed an ozone treatment . We told the desk clerk we had come for a weeding and that our plane had been delayed delayed. We needed to change right away or we would be late for the wedding. She said we could change in the fitness center.
I then asked if there was another room available. She found another room on a lower floor, but told as that while the room was "ready," she wouldn't let us use the room to change until the final inspection had been completed. She promised to come get us in the lobby as soon as it was ready. After 20 minutes of patient waiting, we went back to the desk, but she was no where to be seen. The new clerk informed us that the room was ready and gave us our keys.
This is not the kind of service one expects from St. Regis.
