Rated 5 out of 5 Among the best service at any starwood As a platinum member, I have stayed at many hotel. The St. Regis DC is among the top. The staff went out of their way to provide the best service. From the doormen who were always helpful, to the front desk clerk who went out of her way to find me an upgrade, to the bar, who offered my daughter a free children's shirley temple, all staff were top notch. I used to stay at Ws and Westins. If the St. Regis brand stands for this level of service, then I will use them from now on. Thank you to everyone. July 21, 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by Plesant stay close to sites The St Regis offered a very comfortable room, excellent meeting facilities and support and a friendly staff. It is a short walk to the White House and Mall beyond which made quick walks to sites a nice break from business meetings. Food and beverage service is a bit over-priced but good quality. Overall it was a very plesant experience. July 18, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Disappointing I stayed here with my 15 year old twins this past Sunday. All staff were responsive and friendly, and the location is very good- close to the Metro and a few blocks from the White House. The concierge provided us with tickets to the Holocaust Museum, which saved us from having to wait in a long line in the heat. However, the hotel itself is in dire need of refurbishment. Upon check-in, I was told I was "upgraded" to a room with a pullout sofa (I had requested a rollaway and room overlooking the street), and I figured out why they gave this "upgrade" away so freely when we got there: it was overlooking the air conditioners and an empty building- it was appalling. The room itself was dark and damp, with a musty smell. The bathroom was nice but nothing special. They provide a couple of small bottles of water in your room but there is no water available in the lobby (even the Fairfield Inn we just stayed in had this!) and no coffee in the morning. The parking charge is outrageous- $45 a day with no easy access to your car, although the valet is very prompt in bringing it if you need to leave. There was no advantage that I could see to being a SPG rewards member, and I am angry that I blew so many points on this place- it was totally not worth it. I didn't want to complain in front of my kids because I wanted them to have a good time, but I was really disappointed. July 16, 2014

Rated 1 out of 5 by Room in disrepair I arrived at this hotel on July 4th for the festivities and was told by the front desk that I had the last available room. I thought nothing of it....After an inspection the room was extremely dusty and the shower handle was not working properly. The biggest disappoint came when we return to the room and found out one of the beds was BROKEN. This room should definitely not have been rented and I fill that I wasted 20,000 SPG Star Points. When I mentioned this to the front desk all they said was "sorry". July 7, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by it is beautiful hotel and good amenties but not too kid friendly and needs improvement I THOUGHT for what we were paying that the staff could have cleaned our room more effienctly. They didn't do a good job cleaning the room while we were out and returned. It just didn't seem like 5star. The room was also very small for a suite. July 9, 2014
