Rated 3 out of 5 by Disappointing stay Stayed here for vacation. Had numerous service problems and they were never addressed. Not once did someone go out of their way to assist. Called the GM, wasn't helpful either, mainly provided excuses and had no answers about the problems we mentioned. Very, very disappointing for a St Regis. When in town, I would certainly choose other hotels. April 5, 2016

Rated 3 out of 5 by a remarkably average hotel. In the last three years, I have stayed roughly 150 nights in St Regis properties. It is a brand that I associate with luxury, comfort, and great service. After about 6 stays at St Regis Houston in the last year, I would have to say it is a remarkably average hotel. Not bad, but far from great. From the design to the rooms to staff, everything is lackluster. In Houston, no one can be bothered to go the extra mile. There is a little effort to show they value your business. While not a huge deal to me, I find it interesting that it is the only St Regis property in the world where I have never been upgraded during any stay. It speaks to the general apethetic feeling that it is given to guests who stay at the hotel frequently. Would I stay at the hotel again? Probably because its convenient to my office. Would I recommend the hotel? No more than a 3star airport hotel January 23, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by great visit but not superior. Overall this was a great experience and will stay at this hotel again . What you need to know. - Bed was stiff like it had a cardboard top. For this type of luxury hotel, I expected something a little more comfortable. - They did not make it very known that you have to pay extra for valet parking. You drive up and a guy takes your keys and gives you a slip. I thought it was standard (complimentary) and actually costs a bit over $30 per night. - Expect to tip everytime you turn around. When you get out of your car they are already unloading your luggage with no choice to do it yourself. I like the luxury of it but no choice. For a 1 night stay with $5 here and $5 there, it added up to about $30. December 7, 2015

Rated 4 out of 5 by My first St. Regis experience This was my first stay at a St. Regis and I enjoyed it. From the minute you walk in, to the reception, to the room, everyone made me feel welcome, although I did feel a little rushed at the valet area to exit my car. My room was very comfortable and spacious, very user friendly for business users as well. Room service was OK, the taste of the food was average, but the delivery was excellent. I was disappointed that smokers were allowed at the pool, which caused me to move 3 times in one visit. Gym is nice, I enjoyed having cool water to drink during my workout. The safe in my room was out of order, but engineering came up to fix it within 5 minutes of my call. I will be back to visit for sure. Unfortunately I was unable to experience the Remington room, as I did not have suitable clothing for the environment, but it looked really fancy and will try on my next visit. October 31, 2015

Rated 5 out of 5 by Outstanding St Regis Property in Houston I can't say enough about the St. Regis in Houston. We have stayed in hotels all over the world, but this was the first time in a St. Regis and we were blown away. The staff is beyond top notch and the most accommodating I have ever seen in any business, not just a hotel. The hotel was in pristine condition in every inch we saw from elevators to the outside where we took our dog to the restroom. A huge plus for us was that our dog was treated like a king, The bell captain immediately told us our dog would be taken care of and he wasn't kidding. When we walked into the room there was a huge dog bed and shiny bowls waiting for him. You don't get this anywhere else. I work for a very high end automotive company and service is always our biggest concern so it really stands out to me when I am on the other side. I really hope someone high up sees this and recognizes what great associates they have at the Houston St. Regis. The only problem my wife and I have now is that it will be tough to travel to other destinations if there is not a St. Regis because everywhere else will always be compared to the platinum level of service we received there. Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice Weekend Getaway My family and I booked a stay over the 4th of July weekend. It was a last minute trip. We were happy with the location. It was close to shopping and medical center/ zoo etc.. Being a platinum member , I was happy to receive an upgrade to a suite on arrival. The pool was nice and enjoyable. The only issue with the pool was basically absent bar/ food service at the pool. The valet was prompt and courteous. Overall the experience was as expected for a St Regis hotel. September 17, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Weekend Getaway My husband and I were looking for a luxury hotel to escape to for the weekend. We chose the St. Regis in Houston. We were very pleased with the accommodations and the staff. There was a mix-up with the rate that we had been given when booking our reservations (we had been given an employee discount) and were shocked to find out that the rate was to increase by $32 per night once we arrived. The check in staff offered us $60 credit towards breakfast to make up for the misunderstanding. Breakfast was wonderful in a nice quiet setting in the hotel. The hotel provided a courtesy car and driver to drop us off at local restaurants and then returned to pick us up. This was an added bonus! Wonderful place for an escape! September 9, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Almost there, but a bit snooty Eccellent hotel in a quiet location. Used an SNA to secure a corner Astor suite, which was nice. Freezing breakfast restaurant and other common areas, easy on the AC guys! Got a certain attitude from front desk (probably not used to non-business clientele), skip the snotty attitude please. Never been charged for a rollway bed as a platinum member before, feels cheap to get charged 30 bucks when you already are paying a premium rate. Loud air vent in bathroom that was not possible to switch off. Could be bothersome for light sleepers, I used my ear plugs. Decent pool area, but can get crowded. September 7, 2015

Rated 5 out of 5 by River Oaks in depth We were in and out of the hotel quite a bit attending morning, afternoon and evening events every day for three days. Our room was serviced as we wished and always felt that the staff had done something extra to ensure our comfort. our particular whims were picked up on by the staff and they perfected delivery as they knew us a bit better. Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel has great service This was the best experience at a hotel we have ever had. Being lost in Houston is daunting, but once we called the concierge at the St. Regis and he guided up to the hotel via the cell phone we relaxed. Tim was waiting outside for us when we arrived. What a blessing. He then made arrangements for me at a salon and also a car to take me there (I was not driving in that traffic again) and then made arrangements for my transportation back to the hotel. Again he was waiating for me to make sure all was well. Thankfullly the hotel provided us transportation to our venue that evening and picked us up as well. It certainly made the evening more pleasant for us. We enjoyed our room service and the food was delicious. Upon leaving the hotel, Tim made sure we had maps to lead us out of Houston. He certainly made this a memoriable trip. We will definitely stay at the St. Regis if we return to Houston. December 1, 2014

The service is impeccable - down to the little touch of making sure there is ice already in the room so I didn't have to do anything but relax when I arrived. That was especially nice because I arrived late. Everything I needed I received right away! Friendly staff, very clean room, layout excellent... I could go on but there is no point. They are amazing. The conference facilities were very good, the staff was attentive making sure we had everything we needed and more importantly quickly taking care of anything we asked for. While i was impressed with everyone, their is a young lady at the front desk who checked me in, Amy, who combines efficiency with friendliness. She is truly awesome. Rated 4 out of 5 by Great staff overcome somewhat dated facilities Everyone on the staff was amazing, from the porters, to the check in desk to the room service people. The facility itself looks and feels like it came from the 1980's. It needs a refresh (for example, the wood in the lounge at the bar is all cracked from repeated washing). Also, our room was quite cold. But now that we have family who recently moved to Houston, we will be back! November 19, 2014
