Rated 5 out of 5 by Home away from home I travel every week and have spent over 50 nights at this particular property over the last 2.5 years. This is my favorite hotel. Every room is well maintained and decorated. The staff are very courteous, responsive, and knew my name by my second stay. I have stayed at most SPG properties in Houston as well as at several other hotels in the same category as the St. Regis. This is the best property by far. One slight drawback is that the fitness center is a little small. I December 14, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by not really a 5 star service Although the hotel has nice interiors and a very efficient staff at the door, the overall service is not 5 star. If you want some food/beverage at the pool, you have to order it yourself through a phone located near the gym and wait for more than 50 min for delivery. Food presentation is inexistent. Nobody was around the pool to clean the tables during my 60 min stay, and I saw several people coming in and leaving right away since there was no place where to seat. In room dining was equally disappointing: the food was average, badly presented and overprice, and the wait over 40 min. The turn down service was sloppy. The maid left pillows and books scattered on the bed and did not put away the ironing board. Overall it was not a big deal, but I found the quality of service lower than the last time I stayed here. Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice Room, GF breakfast was really bad To Whom it May Concern, This was the second time my wife and I stayed at the St. Regis. The first time was a Mother’s Day surprise. The first visit was nice and we had a nice balcany but the club downstairs was very loud and we did not sleep well at all. After that visit, I figured it was just a bad room. So for our 12 year anniversary, we tried again. This time I got a suite and butler service. The room was nice, but I had left several instructions on how to have the room setup and none were followed. I had asked for flowers in the room and a bucket of of ice for champagne. Once in the room, I had to ask for these again. It felt like all the careful instructions I had made did not get fulfilled. We had tea which was wonderful. I will highly recommend it to others. The bed was very soft; really, too soft. That week I had called and asked about a GF breakfast. I was told they could make pancakes and waffles. We ordered both. They were awful. Whatever brand the hotel buys for flower is terrible. As someone who has been GF for 9 years, I know my flours. You need to by King Author brand flour for pancakes. I almost brought my own to have the restaurant cook and now I know I should have. I payed 87 dollars for a breakfast that was very sub par. I still like the hotel and tea time is great but the service was “meh” and the GF breakfast seriously needs some work. Sincerely, Mathew Bonasera November 2, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Best place to stay From the friendliness of the staff to the quality of the service to the décor and layout, it is all top notch. The conference facilities were very good, the staff was attentive making sure we had everything we needed and more importantly quickly taking care of anything we asked for. Rated 4 out of 5 by Great staff overcome somewhat dated facilities Everyone on the staff was amazing, from the porters, to the check in desk to the room service people. The facility itself looks and feels like it came from the 1980's. It needs a refresh (for example, the wood in the lounge at the bar is all cracked from repeated washing). Also, our room was quite cold. But now that we have family who recently moved to Houston, we will be back! November 19, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by DISAPPOINTING Have stayed at this hotel since it was built. Occupancy has increased significantly in the past year, and the staff is simply not up to the task. All are extremely nice and well-intended, but service is erratic and far below par for a luxury hotel. When the hotel is fully committed, the strain on the staff and facilities is particularly noticeable. A sandwich from in-room dining takes forty minutes. Don't waste money on the Astor Level upgrade. Services provided do not justify the cost. Great hotel location, which help justify the rates, but service and facilities are far below par for any other St. Regis in which I have stayed. No one would like this hotel to be first rate more than I; regrettably, that is simply not the case. November 20, 2013

While i was impressed with everyone, their is a young lady at the front desk who checked me in, Amy, who combines efficiency with friendliness. She is truly awesome. Rated 3 out of 5 by Not up to standard Internet usage is charged as opposed to free/complimentary. This is unacceptable in this day and age. Only the first 15 minutes are free. This is just not good enough. In the room, there is no complimentary period at all. There are no complimentary water bottles nor water fountains anywhere. At the gym there is no way to stay hydrated unless you drink tab water in the bathroom. An of corse there is no free internet service at the gym. Overall not good enough for the quality of the brand. Rated 5 out of 5 by pure class! We travel all over the world and first time staying at a St Regis Hotel and I am so glad it is the one in our city because we will be coming back over and over. We were upgraded to Grand Lux room which was spacious and ultra comfortable. It was my birthday weekend and the staff went out of their way to make me feel special with chocolate covered starwberries delivered to the room. The high tea is a must do. Harpist a nice touch and the tea dessert and biscuits very good We have just made another reservation to return for our anniversary. June 20, 2012

Rated 2 out of 5 by average stay -- expect more from a st regis While the valet staff was excellent, the bell and restaurant wait staff were poor. They had to be reminded multiple, if not three times for sure, for any request. Additionally, I brought my child with me and he found a condom wrapper on the floor adjacent to the bed when we checked into the room. That is unacceptable! We CHOOSE to stay at the St Regis everytime we travel to Houston (which is at least twice a year) . But I am unlikely to do so again. February 11, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by They took my glasses While we were gathering our items to check out, we discovered that rooms ervice had taken 4 champagne glasses which we brought for a small party in our room. it is now 3 1/2 days after the stay and no one has responded to the request to reimburse us for the glasses or return them. Rated 4 out of 5 by Houston Hotel All was well except the WiFi connection was terribly slow. I switched to using the cable provided and it was still terribly slow. That needs improvement. The maximum speed I was able to get on checking connection speed was 4.3 mbps. November 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Relaxation Location What a fabulous weekend! The staff of the St. Regis Houston worked so very well together in making our 19th wedding anniversary celebration special. From a tasty dinner in the Remington with a surprise recognition, to the private room for our couples massage, everything was so nicely done. From valet, to doorman, to butler to our masseuse team, and beyond, everyone was gracious and happy to see us. The champagne and strawberries in our room at arrival was a great start. The weather was rainy and cold outside the whole weekend, but warm and relaxing indoors. A great stay, and a great hotel! February 22, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Great hotel, but missed a couple of little things. This hotel deserves its great reputation, but missed on a couple of things; the biggest being poolside food & beverage service. There were probably 30 people at the pool, including our group of 6 adults and 7 kids. After waiting nearly 30 mins for a waiter or attendant to come out, we had to go inside and ask for one. After ordering, delivery took nearly an hour. During our 2 hours at the pool, other other plates, bottles and glasses, which were there when we arrived, were never bussed, attracting bird and flies. Rated 5 out of 5 by St Regis helped make our celebration special We chose the St. Regis Houston to celebrate our 23rd wedding anniversary. At every turn, the staff strived to make our stay enjoyable. Our room was upgraded at check-in. The manager sent up a complimentary tray of chocolate-covered strawberries and a card. The butler service was always prompt and efficient. The room service was not only fast; the food was delicious and perfectly prepared and presented. Our room was comfortable, immaculate, and elegant. In short, it was a perfect stay and we will be back again. January 3, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Hotel in Houston- Handsdown! Not only is this the best Hotel in Houston, the Houston St.Regis experience will rate an A+ anywhere for hotels in this class. I stay here everytime I visit the city, I am always treated like family. The rooms are firstclass and I always get my fair share of upgrades as a Platinum member. The food is superb and the only reason I will go out to eat is to experience the variety of cuisines and people that Houston has to offer. April 1, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great (little) girls weekend! A friend and I stayed the weekend with our 4-year old daughters. I have visited before with my husband and have always been impressed, but the attention the hotel showed to our little ones was amazing. They sent up delicious cookies upon our arrival and there was a ballet-themed step stool in the girls bathroom along with kid-sized plush robes in the closet. When we came back from dinner the first night, the dolls the girls had left out on the floor had been placed on the bed and under the covers. I had originally been a little hesitant to bring the young kids to this hotel, but after this visit will not hesitate the next time we are in town! December 9, 2013
