Rated 3 out of 5 by Great hotel, but missed a couple of little things. This hotel deserves its great reputation, but missed on a couple of things; the biggest being poolside food & beverage service. There were probably 30 people at the pool, including our group of 6 adults and 7 kids. After waiting nearly 30 mins for a waiter or attendant to come out, we had to go inside and ask for one. After ordering, delivery took nearly an hour. During our 2 hours at the pool, other other plates, bottles and glasses, which were there when we arrived, were never bussed, attracting bird and flies. Rated 4 out of 5 by not really a 5 star service Although the hotel has nice interiors and a very efficient staff at the door, the overall service is not 5 star. If you want some food/beverage at the pool, you have to order it yourself through a phone located near the gym and wait for more than 50 min for delivery. Food presentation is inexistent. Nobody was around the pool to clean the tables during my 60 min stay, and I saw several people coming in and leaving right away since there was no place where to seat. In room dining was equally disappointing: the food was average, badly presented and overprice, and the wait over 40 min. The turn down service was sloppy. The maid left pillows and books scattered on the bed and did not put away the ironing board. Overall it was not a big deal, but I found the quality of service lower than the last time I stayed here. Rated 5 out of 5 by Hotel was great except... The Hotel was excellent except that the leather chairs in the room were a little uncomfortable. You would tend to slip out of the chair necessitating constant readjustment. The bed was fairly comfortable and the room amenities were excellent. The one other minor knock was that the courtesy shuttle was limited to a 4 mile radius so we had to make other arrangements to attend a function at the the George R Brown Convention center. The St. Regis should reexamine this policy. The staff was courteous and attentive.I would definitely veisit again May 6, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best hotel in Houston! I recently stayed at the St. Reggis-Houston for an 8 day business trip that could not have been better. The staff, as usual, made every effort to make my stay successful and stress free. I hosted multiple events at the hotel restaurant and various meetings all which were very well received. The rooms are lovely and location can not be beat! I highly recommend the St. Regis Houston. I will continue to return. May 6, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Another excellent staying (almost) perfect I stay at this hotel 2/3 times a year for business purposes. Service is very good, from valet parking (great guys !), through bell boys, till forn desk. Rooms are nice, comfortable; bed is very comfortable. Room service is great. A couple of comments on potential areas of focus: every time I arrange for late check out, I'm not able to use my key card to enter the room, since it is not adjusted (I usually use the 4pm check out time for gold members). Also, TV should be HD. May 4, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Service and Amenities We were greeted by all employees as we entered, and continued to be greeted whether coming or going. Enjoyed the pool area immensely. The room service we had was wonderful. And all of the personal touches in the room were exceptional. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay. May 6, 2013
