The most unsatisfactory aspect of our stay was housekeeping. On the first day, the day housekeeper never came to clean our room even though we were out from noon until 5:00pm. When I informed the front desk, it took another hour for the turndown housekeeping staff to come to our room. We asked for express service and she was very accommodating and nice about it. We stayed four nights and our room was never vacuumed. I don't think our room was ever dusted properly either as we found dust balls behind lamps and clock!
Staff overall was nice enough but not quite theluxury hotel experience that one would expect. We didn't feel the vibe of "anything you need, we'll take care of" that comes with staying at a 5 star hotel. The most outstanding staff member was Brian Couglin at the front desk who helped us with a tricky request and he was very gracious about lending his assistance.
Our dining experience at the hotel restaurant Remington was excellent. I would recommend it for friendly and helpful staff and over the top fresh ingredients. There were three of us at dinner and every dish we ordered was delicious and fresh!

Rated 4 out of 5 by BizTraveler715 Gorgeous, high quality hotel with just a few areas of improvement needed
The hotel is truly beautiful throughout, with lovely decor touches in the rooms as well as lobby and meeting facilities. The food is outstanding!p, and the lobby staff are extremely nice.
The room was spacious and beautiful, but there are a few things that would've made this a 5 star review for me. The first is the water pressure in the shower. It's far too low, making it difficult and time consuming to try and wash one's hair. I'm sure I used more water in the end due to how long it took me to rinse the shampoo out than if the pressure had been adequate. The second is the air conditioning. Despite setting the temp quite low (65 F), I could never get the room particularly cool. And finally, the phones we're of pretty poor quality. I travel for business and had several conference calls, but the quality if the speaker was so poor I ended up using my cell phone.
All in all, I would happily stay here again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by WAHAB This Hotel is best SPG Hotel in Houston
I really liked this hotel. It is the best one of the SPG hotel. Only missing the extra options of rates that include breakfast, overnight parking and happy hours. I noticed that the hotel is charging for everything even the small negligible stuff and there is no appliances in the room.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the St. Regis Houston. The staff took very good care of us and were very professional in a manner that you would expect from a hotel of this status.
My only complaint that I would have looking back on our stay is that we had to pay for a portion of our breakfast. As a platinum guest I received a breakfast voucher but it only covered up to a certain amount. The amount would have covered what people would normally spend on breakfast but not when they are dining at a restaurant that is more upscale like the St. Regis.
Overall the experience was quite nice and I would definitely recommend someone to stay at this hotel.

I travel every week and have spent over 50 nights at this particular property over the last 2.5 years. This is my favorite hotel. Every room is well maintained and decorated. The staff are very courteous, responsive, and knew my name by my second stay.
I have stayed at most SPG properties in Houston as well as at several other hotels in the same category as the St. Regis. This is the best property by far. One slight drawback is that the fitness center is a little small.
