Rated 5 out of 5 by Chacaro This hotel is spectacular
What a memorable stay! From the efficient and prompt valets, to the welcoming front desk staff, the pleasant, attentive wait staff, and the discreet presence of the world renown St. Regis Butler service; all above and beyond expectations. The flowers; beautiful. The aroma; sensational. The rose petals at night; exquisite . The beauty of the hotel; unmatched.

Rated 2 out of 5 Disappointed this time
We stayed here once before and it was a much better experience. A few specifics: the bed was worn in and soft, the water pressure non-existent and was charged $350 by mistake which I needed to chase down twice to get corrected...needs improvement

Rated 3 out of 5 by Houston2013 Great hotel, but missed a couple of little things.
This hotel deserves its great reputation, but missed on a couple of things; the biggest being poolside food & beverage service.
There were probably 30 people at the pool, including our group of 6 adults and 7 kids.
After waiting nearly 30 mins for a waiter or attendant to come out, we had to go inside and ask for one.
After ordering, delivery took nearly an hour.
During our 2 hours at the pool, other other plates, bottles and glasses, which were there when we arrived, were never bussed, attracting bird and flies.

It has been 2 years since my last stay, yet this weekend was a fantastic experience, once again. Everyone is friendly and helpful, the beds are the most comfortable of any hotel I have ever experienced, and the food was great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by BaronG not really a 5 star service
Although the hotel has nice interiors and a very efficient staff at the door, the overall service is not 5 star. If you want some food/beverage at the pool, you have to order it yourself through a phone located near the gym and wait for more than 50 min for delivery. Food presentation is inexistent. Nobody was around the pool to clean the tables during my 60 min stay, and I saw several people coming in and leaving right away since there was no place where to seat. In room dining was equally disappointing: the food was average, badly presented and overprice, and the wait over 40 min. The turn down service was sloppy. The maid left pillows and books scattered on the bed and did not put away the ironing board. Overall it was not a big deal, but I found the quality of service lower than the last time I stayed here.

I had two rooms during my stay in Houston.
I found that the carpet in the most expensive suite had horrible stains. For the price of the suite, I feel the carpet should be in better condition.
The sofa in the living area of the Suite 910 looked as though it came out of a cheap double digit room.
The artwork in both of the rooms looked as though it belonged with the couch. It appeared very inexpensive and cheap. When I pay high prices, I don't expect this kind of "artwork".
Also, I should not have been charged for the internet. When someone books two rooms and one is the expensive suite, a customer does not want to feel taken advantage of and gouged by small charges of amenities that should be complimentary.
I like the St. Regis Houston, but it is overpriced for what you receive.
The SPG preferred guest card has no meaning or perks whatsoever. If anything, I feel marked as someone who can spend more.
The phone in the living area of the suite did not work.
All of these issues combined left me with a less than positive rating for this hotel.
