Rated 5 out of 5 by Social Weekend Had to travel to Houston to Celebrate my best friends birthday. Since it was a big one we had an itinerary of events planned for us all weekend. I have to say that it was always comfort to walk into the St Regis and smell the beautiful flowers and admire those gorgeous arrangements. Suddenly as you walk in i start to relax and I look forward to some peace and quiet in the comfort of my room. I did get to enjoy a nap by the pool and the service was impeccable which made it so much more pleasurable every time you were low on a drink. When your out and running in social settings which wear you out! its always good to know that you can go back to the St Regis and recharge in peace and pampering to be ready for the next outing! Rated 5 out of 5 by One of my favorite hotels I travel for work a LOT and love this hotel! Everything is always as it should be. This time I brought 3 work associates with me and they loved it as well - the breakfast room was a perfect space for us to meet and the food as always is stellar. Can't wait to come back again! Rated 5 out of 5 by Had to Stop By I have experienced the St. Regis Houston many times in the past. Although on this particular trip to Houston I did not lodge there, I did specifically come to dine at the Remington Bar. The results of my experience were of no surprise to me - superb. Harry, the lead Bartender/Mixologist, is himself an institution. Of the many reasons I choose to frequent the St. Regis, Harry is in the Top 3. August 8, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Rare treatment based on previous experiences I have been staying at this hotel longer than I can remember. This last time I asked why I had not received water and/or fruit as usual. The front desk girl started an explanation as to how being a platinum member I had been given an upgrade and bla, bla, bla.... conclusion: Fruit apparently did not apply for my stay. I was paying a high rate and this had never happened to me so I feel that management should look into these things... August 1, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Discovering Houston at The St. Regis From the moment my wife and I were me by the Auto attendant and the doorman we knew that our stay was going to be an exceptional experience. My wife owns an an antique store and she dabbles in new and old art. I was in Houston on business. When checking in we were asked to wait while they found a junior suite for us for our four day visit. We had a very good lunch in Remington's Restaurant. Since Modern Gastronomy is my business focus, I asked about the Chef and was told he was on holiday. It was obvious that in Chef John's Abscence there was a very well oiled machine. We were escorted to our room by the most knowledgeable bellman I have ever met. He continued to monitor our stay the entire visit as did all of the members of the front of the house staff. That evening we dined in our room. We were greeted by the most congenial lady who served us for in room dining. The quality of the food rivaled what we were served earlier. Since I was in Houston on business I made my way. My wife was treated to the concierge who helped her in every way possible. While doing my business and my wife seeing Antique Shops, Museums and Galleries the staff was always there to assist us in anyway. We were both sorry to leave on Sunday and look forward to our next encounter with the St Regis and The Bayou City August 4, 2014
