Rated 4 out of 5 by gfmsugrad Great Service, but getting rough around the edges
Service is excellent, staff go above and beyond. However, the property is going downhill very fast in my opinion. Room was not ready when I checked in (3rd time in a row). I used an upgrade cert to make sure I got a better room, I was told breakfast was not included so I had to use the hotel amenity to get it. That is a FIRST in Bangkok, and shows to me the property is becoming cheap.
The windows were not dirty, they were filthy on the outside. The color scheme in the rooms allows the place to look very dirty on the inside as well. The couch (light greyish color) had tons of stains all over it, not just one here and there, as well as did the light color carpets have stains all over them.
Again, the staff and location are the best in Bangkok. But be open to a less than clean property and your room not being ready because they are "cleaning" it......

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sperry8 Perfect Service but Pricey
I recently stayed at the St Regis. It is attached to the BTS Station which is quite convenient and is also in walking distance to Central World (10-12 minutes).
I was upgraded to a Metropolitan Suite and it was lovely. There was a walk in closet, a 2nd bathroom, a huge living room and large bed/bath. The bed was comfy but the pillows were a bit too firm for my tastes. The room was well appointed with a large couch, two sitting chairs, small table with chairs and work desk. The work desk has only one outlet attached to it (not enough). Unfortunately one of the lights in the walk in closet was out so I had to call maintenance to have it replaced. Without it, it was impossible to see.
The master bath is a loft style bath attached to the main bedroom. It has a large tub and separate shower with rainfall head. His/her sinks. Unfortunately the water flow is kept quite low so it's not as pleasant a shower experience as it could be. And worse, the water was lukewarm at best the first few days of my stay and downright cold the last. I had to call maintenance to come fix the last day. Once fixed, it was quite hot.
The facilities are wonderful in this hotel. The breakfast restaurant is spacious and has nice views. They bar is also large and has nice views. They also have a business center where you can print some items (although they close it too early, sometimes work needs to be done at a late hour).
I also was here for a special event from SPG Moments and it was absolutely delightful. I couldn't have asked for more - the hotel staff and rooms used were amazing. If you need to throw an event here, you won't be disappointed.
The #1 thing about this hotel is the service. Everyone has a smile, and they great you with it coming and going. They are friendly yet professional. I couldn't ask for anything more. Every employee should be commended. The St Regis butler was a lovely touch and provided me with extra water, tea and cookies and a movie (they have >50 to borrow for free). A wonderful touch.
Recognition is good at this property although it could be improved
1- I was upgraded to a gorgeous suite upon arrival (without asking).
2- Free high speed Internet.
3- I only received 2 small bottles of water upon arrival, but after asking my butler for more, the room was filled with 6 bottles at all times.
4- Happy hour of wine and cheese is offered in Decanter bar from 5-6pm. Although nice, it's way too early to enjoy a glass of wine. Happy hour should start at 6pm earliest.
5- A 25% discount on food at the restaurant. I used this during their lovely Saturday night seafood buffet. Quite a deal.
6- Platinums are required to surrender their 500 point amenity to enjoy the buffet breakfast. They shouldn't require this imo. As well the breakfast was disappointing. The only good thing is their fresh pressed juices. Otherwise their salad offering is ridiculous (greens, onions and peas, every day??) I tried numerous times to get hard boiled eggs only to get soft boiled and well done omelets only to get runny. They were out of Shrimp Har Gow dim sum and so I asked for more, but it never came. And although they have fresh fruit - they don't tell you they offer fresh cut papaya and mango. You have to know to ask for it (or luckily see someone else doing it and copy them). And they take your 500 points to get this?? No thanks. Breakfast needs significant improvement.
All in all, I'd stay here again. But for the price I paid, I expect all the lights and hot water to work without me having to call maintenance. Calling 2x annoys me and at a luxury property shouldn't be required. As well, don't take our 500 points and improve your breakfast offering. And finally, hold the Platinum happy hour in a venue where you can start it later. I imagine you're holding it so early because you want to use Decanter for other things later on. Shouldn't impact us. Just hold happy hour in the main bar with the lovely music.

Rated 5 out of 5 by VeryGoodPointsStacey I Love St Regis Bangkok
I recently completed my third stay at the St Regis Bangkok. I love the hotel, it's that simple. I would highly recommend that you book the St Regis during low season - when prices are reasonable - so that you can enjoy luxury.
The restaurants are all amazing - but very expensive. Worth a treat for sure. I really loved Zuma.
The spa is potentially the highest priced spa I've ever been to in Bangkok and I would recommend that you visit another local spa based on price and service.
The pool is really amazing. High atop the city you can lounge and relax while being pampered. I loved the couches - they were a great place to relax and read.
I will surely be back to the St Regis and I highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Snitch Mr Mee
While my time at the St Regis was very pleasant, special consideration is acknowledged for the excellent staff. Each and every one of them exuded a high level of professionalism. In particular, I have fondest regards for Mr. Mee, the staff butler who was very helpful and it seems always on hand to answer questions, making my way easier as I navigated Bangkok.
