Rated 1 out of 5 by Disappointing Experience I frequently take my family to St. Regis for weekend escapes and just did for 1 night from 12 to 13 September and the experience was really disappointing this time. As a platinum member, I didn't receive any recognition or benefits for my status (no upgrade, no 24-hour checkout), rooms had the Nespresso machines but some unknown coffee capsules that taste terrible. Buffet food was below average - definitely not the usual quality of st. Regis - to the extent that for the first time I decided to eat outside of the hotel on my second day. Not quite happy with what I got for what I paid and will probably not do it again. September 13, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Horrible experience. Do not book this hotel during high season Stayed here with my family btw Sept 10 - Sept 12 during the high season of Eid holidays. Definitely I regret this decision. I spend more than 50 nights a year in 5 star hotels due to my business and never had a bad experience like this. The hotel team is not understaffed but simply not efficient they are not able to handle people when the hotel is full. Worst nightmare ever is that we were not able to have proper sleep due the various differs lights in our room were not switching off for both nights we had to deal with technicians trying to fix things in our room until 12 am. Hotel management did not bother to ease our pain to offer us any other room despite of the fact that I have inquired the issues at 8pm and the first guy who attended my problem as at 12am after so many calls. Food is not good, service at the main buffet restaurant is one of the worst I have seen. September 11, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Beyond expectations To cut to the chase, a few kinks got easily and quickly ironed out by the F and B manager, a gentleman named Reza, in whose hands all seemed to be transformed into the highest level experience at this gorgeous, sumptuous, beachfront resort. I can't recommend it highly enough, and mention in particular the addictive 55 & 5th restaurant, which has, without exaggeration, among the finest food and service we've experienced worldwide. Also, the space is lovely, hearkens art deco right down to a gleaming black grand piano in the center of the whole affair. Beach is turquoise, and breathtaking. If I were to go on, focus could be lost. Go, and be prepared for a transcendently beautiful stay PS go to the spa, with or without packages booked. As a guest, one can freely use the hot and cold pools, jacuzzi, hammams and sauna. Decor is mesmerizing September 5, 2016

Rated 5 out of 5 by Above and Beyond Our choice of this hotel, even for a few nights, was last second and on our honeymoon. We were taken care of hand and foot, in particular by the F and B department. The facility is gorgeous, the environs are breathtaking, and peaceful; comfortably away from the "noise" of Abu Dhabi, but a quick drive if needed from same. The beach is natural, and the water is turquoise. About the F and B: the food varies between good and uncannily excellent. The breakfast choice is massive, and the service therein is friendly, even at early hours. There is a restaurant on the grounds called 55 & 5th which is a dangerous addiction to begin; the food is literally among the best of a small handful of places at which we have ever eaten, throughout the world. The service was impeccable, the maitre dis, Mr. Nuñez is a mensch, and the F & B manager of the entire facility, a Mr. Reza Kalantarian, visited with us and oversaw so much of the hospitality directed at us that it ensured our return, and for a longer, more well-planned stay. This man's mien and professionalism easily explain the top-notch level of quality of the food and hospitality throughout the premises. All of such things starts at the top, so it makes sense. To this restaurant itself: again, the service was top of the line, and the cuisine and its presentation by the chef was out of this world. The decor hearkens art deco American, complete with a shining black grand piano in the center of the whole thing. Just leave time on a visit to go back more than once! The spa is a must. Even without any special treatments or procedures, just to go and sit, as a guest of the hotel, is an event in and of itself. Gorgeously designed, peaceful, clean and quiet. August 25, 2016
