Rated 4 out of 5 by It will be a great hotel with improvement needed The Restaurant (Social) needs improvement of the quality of the food and the utensils cleaning standard especially during late hour of breakfest service. September 30, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing resort! St. Regis Sanya is top notch and super luxurious. The rooms are among the best I have ever stayed in, and I travel a lot all over the world. Gorgeous bathrooms that are a dream and huge! Very modern and yet elegant style, amazing views of the water to boot. My family and I stayed here for 7 days in July and we loved it- the staff was super friendly and very helpful (especially Candy and Jax, as well as Marcos who is director of foods and beverages) -- they treated us like royalty from the start. The only possible area for improvement is to have more staff that speak better Engiish or at lesat understand the language-- some staff members spoke no English at all- but they were still very nice and we apprciated them nonetheless. We would love to stay here again and recommend this hotel to everyone, especially if price is not an issue (it can get very pricy, especially the food and drinks). In short, St. Regis Sanya is among the best luxury resorts in the world! July 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent place The room is luxurious. Everything is perfect. There is immense beautiful beaches, big swimming pool, and occasional singing performance. It is indeed worth the price. June 8, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent I stayed with my Family at the St Regis for a few days end of April, and it was an excellent experience throughout our stay. From the pickup at the airport to the checkout everything was very well done. Our Buttler was excellent, she took care of us pretty well every day, even organizing an amazing surprise for our wedding anniversary. Thank you very much April. My platinum status was well recognized and we were upgraded to a suite, a very good surprise was the happy hour, indeed, even though there is no lounge like in most resorts, at least there is a daily happy hour with a selected list of drinks and few snacks which was very well appreciated. The breakfast for platinum guest is at Driftwood, the beachside restaurant, which is a much better environment, more quiet, and with a really nice view. The Saturday night BBQ organized outside between the 2 wings on the lawn was pretty good with a nice ambiance. Globally the amenities were very good too, the 2 swimming pools were great, and we especially enjoyed the main swimming pool at night with the lights and the transparent wall. As I have seen some bad comments here, let me clarify. For those who are looking for an inexpensive place and who are not ready to pay the price for a Starwood category 6 hotel it’s may be better to choose another destination as you will be disappointed. It is high quality, it is good, and it is expensive. As well for those who love to swim in the ocean, chose another destination as you may be disappointed by the water and the beach, which are not the best assets of this resort. On the other hand, if you are looking for a great destination to relax, with a friendly staff, excellent amenities, and high quality F&B, then do not hesitate to go there. We will definitely go back in a near future. Special thanks to : April, Sharon, Troy (Jeremy really enjoyed the buggy tours), Simon, Son, and Marco. May 25, 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by Service needs to improve We stayed at the executive room booked direct at the hotel website. The overall of the this hotel facilities are great. Service needs to improve big time. The front desk receptionist are not well trained at all with even basic stuff. Western cuisine restaurant basic service, knowledge and food quality needs to improve big time. Food quality are sooooooo average. The beach are dirty. Room service stuff are not well trained. Overall this hotel charge as international price but the service is really average. May 11, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Almost a perfect stay Other than the "BBQ" meal that had to be moved in to the Social restaurant as a result of rain, our stay at the hotel was excellent. The BBQ meal was very expensive and of low quality. We had a perfect meal in the Decanter restaurant and in the Chinese restaurant for a much lower price and for food that was very nicely prepared. Rated 4 out of 5 by Wonderful experience and delicious breakfast The lobby, the ocean and the garden is fantastic. the room itself is very comfortable not mention the impressive capsule coffee machine. The bath tub has a very good view of the ocean though it gives us some hard time to get the plug to work. The Grand ocean view is kind of below our expectation since it actually have less than 60 degree view of the ocean seeing from balcony. The beach is the worst part and it is not even a safe place for my kid to play due to its steep lope. The kid's free dinner for SPG member is really impressive. However the last day's breakfast offers shrimp not that fresh which taste bad. March 18, 2014
