Rated 3 out of 5 by rossjo great hotel
all is great except for the smell of the breakfast frying eggs every morning at 1st floor without having a hood over the fryers in the breakfast hall
and the bath tub hope it can be replaced by shower its a bit risky to slip and brake a bone

This is THE hotel in Florence. It's beautiful inside and out. It's not inexpensive by any means, but you get what you pay for. My room was spacious (for European standards, it was enormous), champagne and hors d'oeuvres each evening, and very attentive service.

The socket in bathroom is broken..
I need to use my hand to hold the socket in order to make the electric connect. Otherwise, I have to let my hair dry in the air.

This is the best hotel in Florence with the best service.
The location is perfect. It has wonderful public spaces and flawless service. No detail is overlooked. The Butler service is superb. Everything from arrival to departure exceeded my very high standards. The staff is professional, welcoming, efficient, genuine and very friendly. The lobby staff, concierge, butlers, doormen, maids and bar manager make you feel that this is your private residence. All of my preferences were remembered and every wish fulfilled.
The Dining room is both beautiful and elegant with a wonderful restaurant that is well worth a trip to Italy.
The bar manager is amazing with great Italian style.
I have stayed at many fine hotels in Italy and this is my favorite in any city.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Torchsong Get ready for ultimate luxury!
We travel often and well, but never have we experienced the degree of luxury to which we were exposed at the St. Regis Hotel in Florence. Our ooms were absolutely beautiful, featuring wonderful view of the Arno, a sumptuous bathroom with separate bath and shower! We even had our own butler!! The entire staff seemed to know us by name and anticipate our every request. The Garden Restaurant and bar is absolutely gorgeous and Giuseppe, the pianist, is a virtuoso. Do yourself a great favor and indulge in a vacation here!

The St. Regis surpassed our every expectation, from the moment we checked in until the moment we reluctantly left. The hotel is beautiful, luxurious and comfortable. It is located right at the dam of the Arno, which sounds like an ocean.. The view is wonderful. We loved the staff, especially Park, our butler. We will definitely look forward to another visit to this fairy tale place!

Rated 5 out of 5 by HappyStarwoodFan Probably the best Starwood Hotel i have ever stayed at.
Everything about this grand hotel is exceptional. From the great front desk staff, to the butler, to the breakfast staff, and doorman. I have never had such top notch service. The room was beyond beautiful with original frescos, and updated tv's. There was even a tv built into the bathroom mirror that isn't visible until its turned on. Bed was ultra comfortable, A/C was updated and strong. Breakfast was unbelievable. Also, the best breakfast of all the starwood properties i stayed at in Italy which included the St. Regis in rome, the Westin Excelsior in Rome, and Westin in Venice. This St. Regis Florence is the ultimate in service and comfort. Highly recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by HiExpectations Will only stay at the St Regis in Florence
My girlfriend and I just returned from a wine and dine visit though Italy and our most memorable stay was at the St Regis Florence. The Butler service started with a call from Ombretta a couple days before we arrived asking what we needed upon arrival and what we wanted to do while in Florence as it was our first trip tjhere together and we wanted it to be romantic. We were made aware of the impending taxi strike and provided options for transportation from the train station. Although we arrived a bit early, upon arrival we were taken to our room which was richly appointed, very clean, and warm. Our floor Butler Elisa spent a few minutes with us telling us about the city and some great places to dine and enjoy wine. We followed her recommendations for lunch and dinner and were never let down as well as some pointers for enjoying the city. Per Elisa and now us - try Gillys in Republic square for hot chocolate and try La Busola for pizza (great sauce), Dinner's you'll have to ask Elisa yourself. Try the bar for a night cap as it is luxurious and has a piano player and give the Negroni a try too as it was made just right. The St Regis rooms are great, the service perfect, and a suberb overall hotel. We will be back.
