Wonderful room, helpful staff, extremely picturesque surroundings with elegant old world style, amazing service (delivered coffee to our room every morning within 10 minutes or less), comfortable bed, great room, convenient location.....who could ask for more?

The location of the hotel is ideal for vacationer's to Rome. Five minute cab or ten minute walk from Rome's Termini train station. And one block from the Republica subway station (which is also one stop away from Termini). Rome's top attractions is less than 10 minutes by walk, train, bus or taxi.
We were fortunate to stay at the hotel during the holiday season and they decorated beautifully with Christmas tree and lights. The check in process was simple and fast and they escorted us to our suite and explained us everything we needed to know. The room was tastefully decorated and spacious (much bigger than I expected since European hotels tend to be smaller than their American counterparts).
Morning breakfast was wonderful, with fresh fruit, cereal, various meats and cheeses and an omelette station.
All staff were attentive and did their jobs quickly and with much eagerness. We appreciate the letter from the manager and the fresh fruit in the room that welcomed us.

We had a wonderful stay at the St. Regis in Rome. Our upgraded room was spacious , comfortable and quiet. After the hectic bussle of Rome the hotel was an oasis. The staff and service was excellent, especially the room service . Petrit N. and Sabrina M . were very personable and thoughtful and supplied us with everything we needed. I look forward to returning.

From the moment we entered the lobby, the experience was magic!
Elizabeth at the reception desk greeted me as an SPG gold and told us we had been upgraded to suite. She apologized that the suite would not be ready until 12, we came in around 9:30 am, and led us to the restaurant where we were showered with as much cappuccino and treats that we could handle.
Monica the lobby manger helped us plan our agendas and recommended wonderful semi-private tours for the next two days.
The concierge desk sent us to a WONDERFUL restaurant for dinner only 3 blocks away and a good lunch place near the Forum the following day.
The hotel staff sent us a basket of fruits and a bottle of Prosecco to help us celebrate our wedding anniversary.
I have stayed in many excellent hotels across the US and Europe and the St. Regis has set a new high bar for any and all other hotels to meet.

Signor Falcone and his team provided nonstop VIP treatment to my wife and me during our 5-night stay at The St. Regis Rome. They helped make our time in the Eternal City most enjoyable and comfortable. Signor Falcone is one of the finest GMs I've encountered during my many stays at both Starwood and other properties, throughout my many years of domestic and international travels. Grazie mille!

I have been fortunate to stay in many of the top hotels in Italy including the Excelsior in Rome and the Westin Europa in Venice and enjoyed both of those hotels very much. I was ; however; disappointed with the treatment that I received in Rome at The St. Regis on December 1st, 2011. The gentleman who checked us in was very pleasant and accommodating, and the concierge was helpful, yet somewhat condescending. The maid came to refresh our room and did not replace the towels or the water and that left us short in the morning. The older fellow who checked me out made me feel like a second class citizen and really should NOT be dealing with the public .....a disappointing experience.
