My Daughters and I stay at the St Regis a couple times every year for the past 5 years and we would never consider staying anywhere else! This trip was especially exceptional. Upon check in we were upgraded by Melanie to the Madison Suite, which was beautiful beyond our expectations. Our butler Marcus also could not have been more thoughtful and gracious. Although our visit was short it was another special memory at the St. Regis and we look forward to returning as soon as possible!

We've stayed in many hotels in NYC and in the St. Regis in Washington DC, but this is the first time for St. Regis in NYC. It proved to be our best experience to date. The Grande Luxe room is spacious, beautifully appointed, quiet and comfortable. The hotel combines old world charms with modern technology and luxury. The food, in both the restaurant and private dining, was spectacular. For some rooms, the hotel offers a private butler who take care of all of your needs with the simple push of a button on the phone. You may pay a bit more for the St. Regis, but it was well worth it for us. The ONLY slip was one time the butler didn't return our call late at night, but i didn't bother to call a second time. We'll definitely stay their again.

My lifetime Platinum status meant NOTHING to this hotel. No upgrade, no amenity, NOTHING. This failure aside, the rooms are old and out of date technologically when compared to others at this level. The TV actually had numerous cables exposed and just hanging. It didn't even have HD, in fact the picture was terrible! The bathroom didn't have a nightlight or dimmable lighting! The eButler was a complete disaster. The staff was much more impressed with themselves than I was. The Astor Court is in desperate need of updating and new upholstery on the furnishings. The chairs and couches were FILTHY.

I had an upgraded room - expensive but beautiful and well appointed. Great bathroom, TV. Not sure about my Starwood points. It was great that they found my number on the system but I didn't see the points show up in my email from the St. Regis (actually showed 0).

Except for the check in, all was perfect. We arrived from London to the Hotel around 7PM and our room was not available. This was puzzling. The personnel gave us a free drink coupon which we used at the bar. After about 20 minutes, we went back to the desk and they upgraded us to a deluxe room. Otherwise our stay was perfect. The bed is one of the best we have slept in and except for the construction across the street the room was quiet. The Concierge followed up with a booking for a mini cure for my wife.

There is not a better hotel in New York for summer activities. Its proximity to first-class shopping, Central Park, Rockefeller Center, tour bus connections, etc. is unmatched in the city. Moreover, it is an oasis of calm in a hectic metropolis. The rooms are gorgeous and impeccably clean, and the staff is warm and welcoming. The marble bathrooms are unparalleled.
