This RunWESTIN route takes runners through Chicago and along scenic Lake Michigan. On this urban run, you’ll breeze by some of the city’s top destinations and notable landmarks including Millennium Park, Navy Pier, Buckingham Fountain and the Adler Planetarium.

Run a 5K in Florence

The Westin Excelsior, Florence

This three-mile run allows you to explore the best of Florence on foot. You’ll start on Piazza Ognissanti and continue on to some of the city’s most celebrated historical sites passing by the Arno River and through Parco Bardini along the way.

The Westin Sydney

These 6- and 8-k routes take you through the city and around Sydney’s Royal Botanic Gardens. As you take in the local scenery you’ll pass key destinations like Mrs. Macquarie’s Point, Boy Charlton’s Pool and St. Mary’s Cathedral.

The Westin St. Francis San Francisco on Union Square

Take a three- or five-mile run through San Francisco starting in Union Square. Each route takes you along Market Street to the Ferry Building and Pier 26 in a scenic tour of one of California’s most popular cities.

Start Small

Rather than set lofty goals think smaller: “I will try to wake up early two days and go for a walk.” Set yourself up for success and you may find that you’ll end up doing more than you anticipated simply because you aimed small.

Prioritize Breakfast

Studies continue to show the importance of not only eating breakfast, but eating a “healthy” breakfast. Why? You’re more likely to make healthier choices throughout the day. Skip the bacon and French toast and consider having some eggs or oatmeal. You’ll feel better later.

Train with a Friend

You know what really helps keep you accountable on the road? Another person. Find a work buddy who enjoys fitness almost as much as you do and make a deal to each other to meet at least once or twice for an early morning run or workout. One of you will end up carrying the weight.
