Westin Hotels Hits The Road This Summer with Rock ‘N’ Roll Marathon Series Partnership

STAMFORD, Conn. (June 3, 2013)–Reaffirming its commitment to guests’ health and wellness, Westin Hotels & Resorts today announced a preferred partnership with the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series® – the leading series of entertainment themed road-running events – to offer a collection of premier marathon packages designed to give running enthusiasts a leg up on the competition.  Through this partnership, race participants can book a personalized, VIP marathon experience in key markets across the United States.  From pre-race pasta dinners and group warm-up runs to VIP race bib pick up and access to Westin’s on-site recovery tent the new offering was designed to provide runners with the ultimate race experience.  Are you an avid runner and love to travel?  Westin also announced a nationwide search for the brand’s resident running expert, who will serve as the on-site running concierge for Westin guests participating in Rock ‘n’ Roll races, provide marathon training tips and more.

Calling All Marathoners: Westin Seeks Applicants for the Ultimate Runner’s Dream Job
Westin Hotels is hosting a nationwide search for its new RunWESTIN Concierge, who will serve as the on-site running expert for Westin guests participating in Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series events as well as connect with Westin runners through social channels before and after the race to provide running tips and race information. Throughout the year, the RunWESTIN Concierge will travel to key Rock ‘n’ Roll races and will be available at the local Westin property to meet with runners and provide expert training tips and race logistics to improve performance. From now until July 1, Westin is screening passionate, knowledgeable and accomplished candidates who have completed several marathons, have a strong running knowledge base and demonstrate an ability to inspire and motivate others. The final three candidates will appear for qualifying interviews at the Chicago race weekend on July 19-21 and the winner will make his/her first appearance at the Philadelphia race weekend,  September 13-15. From pre-race training to the finish line, the RunWESTIN Concierge will share nutrition and race advice, lead the warm-up run and pass on recovery tips for runners nursing sore muscles. Be a Westin Rock n’ Roll VIP
Starting June 20, guests can purchase the VIP Marathon Package which includes three tiers of service designed to help runners meet their personal goals with ultimate comfort and convenience. The package is available in seven race markets in 2013 including Montreal, Las Vegas and Los Angeles, with additional 2014 races included on a rolling basis.

Catering to both experienced and novice marathoners, the offering ensures a personalized race experience. The standard packages include an on-property pasta dinner the night before the race, a group warm-up run, a grab-and-go breakfast on race day, ice bags for runners upon request, a sign-making event for friends and family and late-check out. The packages will also allow guests to expedite the processing of their race waivers on-property and allow for VIP race bib pick up at the expo. Guests can also add on additional services including access to the RunWESTIN Concierge on-property during race weekend and admission to Westin’s VIP Recovery Tent.
