Located on the edge of fertile rich plains in the Red Basin and dating back more than 2,000 years, Chengdu is the capital of Sichuan Province. In addition to its exquisite garden, visitors can also sip tea in the teahouse and listen to inspirational folk music. Admire the gold, jade, pottery, and other relics at the Jinsha Site Museum. Filled with well-preserved Qing Dynasty buildings, Huanglongxi Ancient Town offers a wonderful opportunity to explore age-old Chinese customs and cultures. Du Fu Thatched Village, a park and museum dedicated to one of China’s greatest poets, is also a stimulating experience.
Located on the outskirts of town, the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding is a must-see. In addition to its more than 80 giant pandas, it is also home to the Giant Panda Museum. Jinli Alley, one the province’s oldest shopping streets, is just a few minutes by car from the hotel. Laden with shops, restaurants, bars, and nightclubs, it is very popular with both tourists and locals, especially at night. It is also very close to the historic Wuhou Temple.
