The Westin Grand Frankfurt - San San Restaurant

San San Restaurant

The Westin Grand Frankfurt
San San

San San presents a fresh, modern take on traditional Chinese dining, with its innovative interpretation of dozens of delicious dishes from one of the world's richest culinary heritages. A creative décor plan brings a choice of inviting settings: opt for one that suits your state of mind, and enjoy your pleasing surroundings over a memorable lunch or dinner.

San San's extensive menu spans the spectrum from the light and palate-cleansing to rich and savory in a generous array of soups, salads, and entrées encompassing fish, fowl, beef, and vegetarian options. Start with Chinese glass noodle soup, papaya and prawn salad, or crispy pork wontons before choosing among dozens of delicious entrées, including chef's specialties like Sichuan-style beef with vegetables, wok-fried chicken in a spicy garlic shallot sauce, and stir-fried prawns, squid, and scallops. Finish with an exotic and scrumptious dessert such as coconut sesame balls or fried banana with ice cream.

Designer Som-Zei Lin developed the three unique styles and tastes displayed in the restaurant's unique floor plan, so you can choose the atmosphere you prefer. The main dining room reveals a wonderfully warm, contemporary setting with round wooden tables to echo the ceiling's circular light panels, and stylish beige and fuchsia accents. You could also choose to dine in the sleek and stylish Bamboo Lounge, with clean, uplifting accents and natural light—or travel back in time and experience the ambience of "Old China" in the colonial 1920s in the small, separée Shanghai Suite, complete with antique furnishings and authentic vintage advertising posters.
