Shishen, found on the third floor of our Main wing, is a locally acclaimed eatery specializing in perfectly-prepared Cantonese cuisine, with Sichuan favorites as well. Featuring casual yet upscale décor, Shishen boasts excellent views of Kyoto and a two-meter-long fish tank.
Lunch includes a course menu as well as an à la carte menu featuring over 100 dishes. The delicious Hong Kong-style three-course Dim Sum encompasses many types of dumplings, including steamed pork and sesame, steamed Chinese crépes with shrimp, and many more. Favorite dinner entrées range from stir-fried beef with seasonal vegetables and crispy chicken with tofu to stir-fried seasonal fish, and spicy tofu made with Kyoto bean curd—a chef's specialty.
Distinctive desserts such as papaya in sweet coconut milk round out a meal. Shishen offers imported beers, an extensive wine cellar, and a range of Shaoxing rice wines. A children's menu is available for younger guests.
For an intimate dining experience, we offer four private dining rooms for groups of six to 20.
