Situated under the graceful arcades of The Westin Paris - Vendôme, le First, restaurant boudoir paris offers a contemporary setting with chic baroque touches designed to please all the senses. Purple velvet banquettes and silk cushions, cozy armchairs and soft lighting, clever placements of mirrors and views of the Tuileries Garden through the window panes all blend to create a setting for convivial get-togethers as well as meals infused with romance.

Executive chef Gilles Grasteau’s menus begin with select fresh, artisan ingredients—some of which are sourced within a 200-kilometer radius of Paris. From this formidable base he creates a modern interpretation of traditional brasserie cuisine, including menu items such as lightly pan-sautéed dieppe scallops, endives and small pumpkin with citrus fruit and a dessert of William pear dried, preserved and frosted, served with crunchy rice pudding. Other signature menu items include succulent pork with carrots, turnips and snow peas accented with a lemongrass and lobster broth; and a thoroughly classic hamburger with French fries.

The chef's SuperFoodsRx™ selections were created to amplify the benefits of wonderful tasting, nutrient-rich ingredients that supply energy and boost immune defenses. For instance, goji berries in a goji berry chutney or sorbet. Other SuperfoodsRx selections may include a starter of pan-sautéed John Dory, mousseron mushrooms, and an essential almond oil jus; an entree of meunière turbot, baby artichokes and goji chutney, and tempting desserts such as tanzania choc-hot-late with crispy cocoa beans and cocoa sorbet.

Executive chef Gilles Grasteau is a member of l’Académie Culinaire de France and was a 2007 finalist in the prestigious Meilleur Ouvrier de France award. He launched his career in 1998 at Hotel Concorde Lafayette where he worked as executive sous chef for two years. He then joined Lenôtre Paris and went on to further expand his repertoire at Dalloyau Paris from 2006 to 2008. At The Westin Paris - Vendôme he has given full expression to his elegant cuisine, a blend of classical and inventive, based on quality seasonal products and on the use of organic fruits and vegetables.
