The Fairfax Lounge

Antique oars and model boats are just a few of the elements that lend a nautical feel to this storied destination, where hotel guests and Embassy Row and Dupont Circle residents are invited to eat, drink, and unwind. Soak in the sounds of the lounge’s original Steinway piano—a gift from the Kennedy family—as you enjoy our drink specials, regular wine tastings, and an appealing menu of local favorites including the smoked turkey and tomato club, as well as the chicken hash “2100” with Parmesan gratinee. Select items from The Jockey Club menu are also available, such as the Jockey Club Burger.

Wood paneling and two working fireplaces add the lounge’s warmth. A private back room is well suited for special functions, and hosted Hillary Rodham Clinton as she announced her run for President of the United States.
