Properly chaotic, casual, and affordable, this speakeasy-style restaurant and bar is the clandestine venue for eclectic music, unique cocktails, and inspired modern Latin-American dishes. Spanish for “vault,” Boveda offers several intimate spaces, including raised booths, banquettes, communal tables, a lounge, a neighborhood bar, and a tavern-esque private area.
The restaurant opens onto a European courtyard through grand French glass doors. Guests descend into the restaurant via a sweeping glass-and-steel staircase with views of a white Parisian marble bar, vaulted ceilings, live-edge walnut tables, and a five-foot custom, crystal chandelier. The menu comprises such interesting categories as boards, skillets, chilled, daily butcher cuts, and old-but-new, capitalizing on fresh seasonal products in large and shared plates.
