Winter activities take place from Mid-November to Mid-April, depending on snow conditions. For world-class downhill skiing, guests can access Beaver Creek Mountain via the Riverfront Express Gondola outside our back door or via free Beaver Creek shuttles that operate from 7am to 11pm daily. Schedules vary.
Mountain access varies based on time of season, but is typically between 9am and 4pm. Beaver Creek Sports, on site, offers a variety of equipment rental packages for downhill skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing. Lift tickets can be purchased at the Vail Resorts Lift Ticket Office at the top of the Riverfront Express Gondola. Ski and Snowboard School is available through Vail Resorts for ages three and up; reservations not required but helpful.
Guests can ski Vail Mountain on the Beaver Creek lift ticket. Vail Mountain is nine miles from the hotel, and transportation options include the Vail Valley ECO Transit System, which operates daily from 6am to 2am and costs $3 one way from Avon to Vail. Guests may also drive to Vail via Interstate 70; parking is available in the Village for a daily price. Fees vary based on season.
Copper Mountain is 20 miles east of Avon and can be accessed by car (no other transportation options are available). Summit County is 30 miles away and offers skiing at Breckenridge, Keystone and Arapahoe Basin Mountains. A bus does leave from the Vail Valley Transit Center to Summit County once a day; schedules and pricing vary by season. Aspen and Snowmass mountains are each located 100 miles from Avon.
At the gate you leave a world behind. A luxury resort with the cozy feel of an Alpine village, Beaver Creek Resort is nestled at the foot of North America's World Cup mountain in Colorado. Perhaps the very best of luxury family skiing. (Located at The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa at Beaver Creek Mountain) More >
