The Westin Bund Center, Shanghai
Hotel History

Since The Westin Bund Center, Shanghai opened in the city’s most well-known landmark in October 2002, it has established itself as an extraordinary destination. It was the first hotel in China to receive the internationally acclaimed FIABCI Prix d’Excellence Award and the first hotel in Shanghai to offer wireless High Speed Internet Access throughout the building, among many other "firsts".

Situated within the prestigious Bund Center with a dramatic crown rooftop that lights up the Shanghai sky, the 26-story hotel continues to impress guests with its grand atrium lobby, where tall palm trees seem to reach for the sunlight pouring through the glass roof four floors above. A striking cantilevered glass staircase inlaid with delicate rice paper and soft, glowing lights adds a warm and artistic touch that welcomes guests into the lobby.

In September 2007, The Westin Bund Center, Shanghai launched the opening of the Grand Tower. The former residence tower underwent an extensive refurbishment and was transformed into 269 plush rooms and suites, giving the hotel a total of 570 exquisite rooms. The Westin Bund Center, Shanghai is the first choice for celebrities, royalty, top statesmen, business tycoons, CEOs and discerning travelers.
