The Westin Grand Frankfurt officially opened its doors amidst the hustle and bustle of Frankfurt's city center on November 30, 1989. It began offering tasteful accommodations next to the city's financial and shopping districts, and excellent amenities for international travelers. One of the first late-night talk shows to hit Germany's airwaves was shot live in the middle of the hotel, an unprecedented move for a metropolitan German hotel.
While it has always stayed in step with one of Germany's—and Central Europe's—most preeminent urban centers, the hotel underwent a full renovation in 2006 and 2007, a project of the esteemed Claudio Carbone Interior Design, to become a true touchstone for renewal and well-being in this thriving city. With its long-held reputation for impeccable service and accommodations, the hotel has accommodated a number of high-profile celebrities in recent times, including Madonna, Rihanna, and Wladimir Klitschko, to name a few.
