Special Conditions
Coldwater Bar & Grill - Closed November 26, 2009
On Thursday, November 26, 2009, Coldwater Bar & Grill will be closed. The Lobby Bar will be offering a special Thanksgiving Day menu for $28 (adults) and $14 (children) between 5pm and 9pm. Please contact the hotel for further information.
Policies
Alcohol Policy
Guests must be 21 years of age and present valid identification.
Age Requirement Policy
Guests must be 18 years old to reserve a guest room.
Check Cashing Policy
Checks will be cashed only for Starwood Preferred Guests at the Gold level or above.
Check Acceptance Policy
The hotel does not accept checks for payment on the day of arrival. Guests wishing to pay by check must submit the check at least 14 days prior to the day of arrival.
Connecting Room Policy
The hotel offers connecting rooms based upong availability upon arrival. Connecting rooms are not confirmed in advance; for special circumstances, please contact the hotel directly. Connecting rooms have an inner-connecting door between two rooms and connect either a king bedded room (one bed) to a double/double room (two beds) or a double/double room to a double/double room. King bedded rooms do not connect to king bedded rooms.
Credit Card Policy
The following credit cards are accepted: American Express, Diner's Club, Discover, Japan Credit Bureau, MasterCard and Visa.
Extra Bedding Policy
One rollaway can be accommodated in some room types.
Fire Safety Policy
The hotel is fully equipped with smoke detectors and emergency evacuation plans in all rooms and public areas.
Gift Certificate Acceptance Policy
Gift certificates are accepted. Guests can call the Starwood Customer Contact Center to make a reservation using a gift certificate.
Guarantee Policy
A credit card guarantee is required for most rates.
Noise Policy
Parties are not allowed in guest rooms.
Package Handling Policy
There is a package handling fee for all incoming and outgoing packages. Please contact the hotel directly for the fee schedule.
Pet Policy
We accept dogs up to 80 pounds and all cats. No pet deposit is required, but a cleaning fee may be added if necessary. Pets must be accompanied by their owner at all times. No pets may be left unattended in a guest room.
Service dogs are welcome. They may get exercise by proceeding north on fifth avenue, where there are available trees and patches of grass along the sidewalk. Seattle has strict pooper scooper regulations. The nearest large park is freeway park near the convention center (7 blocks). Dogs may not be left unattended in guest rooms. Please contact the hotel for further information.
Payment Policy
A valid credit card is required at check-in for payment of the room, tax and incidentals. If a guest is paying cash, a deposit equal to the room, tax and $75 per day will be collected at check-in.
For payments to a third-party credit card, please contact the hotel's accounting department at least 72 hours prior to guest's arrival. Contact Yvonne Settles, Monday through Friday at (206) 727-5815 or email at Yvonne.settles@westin.com. After-hours, please contact the Manager on Duty.
Purchase Order Acceptance Policy
Purchase Orders are not accepted.
Smoking Policy
The Westin Seattle is a 100% Smoke Free Hotel. There is a $200 smoke removal fee for smoking in guestrooms. Breathe Westin™
Tax Exempt Policy
Please note that the Washington State Dept. of Revenue does not accept the US Government exemption certificates as proof of tax exempt status. Qualified purchases must be paid for using a 1) qualified exempt US Government credit card (GSA SmartPay card), 2) by a check from the US Treasury or 3) payment with valid Office of Foreign Missions Tax Exemption ID card. For more information, please contact the hotel accounting department or Manager on Duty.
Telecommunication Policy
A telecommunications bundle package is available, which includes High Speed Internet Access, domestic long-distance telephone calls, toll-free, local, and operator-assisted calls. The bundle package may be requested through the front desk upon arrival.
