Gardiner Ramp Reconstruction: July 25, 2016 - December 2017

From July 25, 2016, to December 2017, the City of Toronto is constructing a new off-ramp from the eastbound Gardiner Expressway to Lower Simcoe Street. This construction, as well as improvements to Harbour Street between Lower Simcoe and Bay Streets, will follow the demolition of the existing off-ramp to York, Bay, and Yonge Streets. Guests traveling eastbound to the hotel should exit at Spadina Avenue and go south to Queens Quay. Guests traveling westbound will not be affected.

Highway Lane Restrictions: Jun. 25, 2014 – Dec. 31, 2016

From June 25, 2014 to December 31, 2016, the Gardiner Expressway has lane restrictions. Please expect a delay when using this route. Please contact the hotel for further information.

Alcohol Policy

Alcoholic beverage service is restricted to those 19 years or older with valid identification.

Age Requirement Policy

Guests must be 18 years or older with government -issued photo identification to reserve a room. Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Check Cashing Policy

Check cashing services are available in the lobby. For Starwood Preferred Guest Gold members the limit is 250 CAD per day, and for non-Starwood Preferred Guests the maximum is 100 CAD per day.

Connecting Room Policy

Each of our room types offers connecting options. We are happy to try to accommodate specific room configurations by request, but cannot guarantee availability of connecting rooms. Please contact the hotel with your request.

Early Departure Policy

An early departure fee of 75 CAD applies to guests checking out prior to their departure date confirmed at check-in. Please contact the hotel for further information.

Early Arrival Policy

Early check-in can be accommodated upon request, based on availability, and cannot be guaranteed in advance.

Family Plan Policy

Children 17 and under sleep free in existing room bedding. Rollaways, child rollaways and cribs may incur extra charges.

Gift Certificate Policy

Gift certificate reservations are booked by the property only. Guests should contact the hotel directly, via email at or if booking for arrival within two weeks, call (416) 814-1252.

Package Handling Policy

Our staff will be more than happy to hold or deliver packages per your request. Please contact the hotel directly for associated costs and to make any necessary arrangements.

Pet Policy

The hotel allows up to two dogs (weighing less than 40 pounds each) per guest room, as well as service animals. Guests must sign a waiver at check-in; no deposit is required. We reserve the right to charge a guest’s credit card for any additional cleaning and excessive damage. Pets are not allowed in a guest room without an owner present. Cats are not permitted.

Credit/Debit Card Policy

Debit and credit cards will be authorized at check-in for the amount of your stay, plus an amount to cover incidentals. The authorization will hold the funds until checkout, at which time the amount actually incurred during the stay will be charged. If a debit card was provided as payment, a cash refund will be provided for funds held in excess of the amount actually incurred and charged.

Payment Policy

If you are paying by credit card or have a prepaid reservation, you must present the card and matching photo identification at check-in. For third-party payments (i.e., a non-guest prepaying a guest’s charges), the cardholder must call or email the hotel directly at least 72 hours prior to guest’s arrival to arrange payment via electronic credit card authorization. The hotel does not accept credit card authorization forms or numbers via fax or email. If you are paying by cash, you will be required to provide the full amount of your stay plus a 300 CAD security deposit.

Reservation Policy

Each guest's name must be on the reservation at time of check-in. Photo identification is required to complete the check-in process.

Smoking Policy

In keeping with our Breathe Westin® initiative, all guest rooms and public areas of the hotel are smoke-free. The fine associated with smoking in guest rooms is 200 CAD.
