Connecting Room Policy
We offer a connecting room option for some of our guest rooms, subject to availability on your arrival date.
The maximum occupancy per room is 2 adults and 2 children or 3 adults and 1 child. 1 adult and 3 children or 4 adults per room is not permitted.
Suite Night Award Cancellation Policy
Suite Night Award requests may be cancelled until 2 p.m. local hotel time the day before you arrive, as long as the Awards have not already been confirmed for use on a reservation. Once your Awards have been confirmed, you must cancel the entire reservation to be credited back all the Awards; however, after 3 p.m. local hotel time the day before you arrive, a reservation cancellation will result in the forfeiture of all Suite Night Awards applied to the entire reservation. This is in addition to any other cancellation penalties applicable to the reservation itself.
Check-In & Checkout Policies
Early Arrival Policy
Check-in time is 3pm. The resort will make reasonable efforts to accommodate early arrivals. Fees may apply; please contact the hotel for further information.
Late Checkout Policy
Late check-out may be possible, subject to room availablity, at a charge of $30 USD per additional hour.
Alcoholic beverage service is restricted to those 18 years or older (with valid identification).
Babysitting/Child Care Policy
The Westin Resort & Spa, Puerto Vallarta offers babysitting services at an hourly fee for up to two children per sitter, plus an additional charge for services after 10pm and for the sitter's transportation home.
Babysitting reservations must be made 24 hours in advance, and cancellations require at least four hours' notice or the total amount will be charged.

Dogs up to 40 pounds are welcome at the resort. If a dog is in the guest room when housekeeping staff comes to clean, the owner must be present as well. Please do not leave pets unattended in the room or any other public space. In addition:
At check-in, a damage and Heavenly Dog Program waiver must be read and signed.
The dog must be on a leash or in a carrier while in public areas.
Dogs may not be left unattended in the guest room.
Dogs are not permitted in food & beverage areas, pool areas, the tennis courts and the fitness studio.
Dogs must be with the guest or a designated individual at all times.
There are areas assigned for guests with dogs in El Palmar Restaurant, Arrecifes Bar as well as one of the pergolas.

Check Acceptance Policy
The resort does not accept personal checks as payment.
Credit/Debit Card Policy
The resort reserves the right to charge the credit or debit card in advance to ensure its validity. The same credit/debit card must be presented upon check-in.
Debit and Credit cards will be authorized at check-in for the amount of your stay, plus an amount to cover incidentals. The authorization will hold the funds until check out, at which time the amount actually incurred during the stay will be charged. Authorized amounts may take up to 30 days after departure to be released by your bank or financial institution and the hotel will not be responsible for any resulting fees or charges.
Rates confirmed in USD are guaranteed in U.S. dollars when paid in U.S. cash or traveler's checks. Payments made by credit cards at the hotel will be charged in the local currency equivalent based on the daily exchange rate used by the hotel. Currency conversions by banks or credit card companies in processing payments are not within the control of the hotel and are subject to exchange rate fluctuations.
