Special Conditions
Passport Restrictions
New passport restrictions for air, land and sea travel to and from the United States and Canada, Mexico, Bermuda, and the Caribbean have taken effect. Travelers are required to have a passport or other secure, accepted document to enter or re-enter the United States with all air travel. Most travelers can find information at the U.S. Department of State Website. Travelers from Canada should check with the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade.
Currency Fluctuations
For non-US hotels, rates confirmed in USD may be converted to local currency by the hotel at your time of stay, based on the exchange rate used by the hotel and are subject to exchange rate fluctuations. Credit card charges are subject to additional currency conversions by banks or credit card companies, which are not within the hotel's control and may impact the amount charged to your credit card. Please contact the hotel if you have any questions.
Policies
Alcohol Policy
Alcoholic beverage service is restricted to those 18 years or older (with valid identification).
Babysitting/Child Care Policy
The Westin Resort & Spa, Puerto Vallarta offers babysitting services at an hourly fee for up to two children per sitter, plus an additional charge for services after 10pm and for the sitter's transportation home.
Babysitting reservations must be made 12 hours in advance, and cancellations require at least four hours' notice or the total amount will be charged.

Cancel Policy
Bookings for the peak holiday season must be cancelled at least 45 days before your scheduled arrival, and winter season bookings at least seven days in advance, or you will incur a two-night penalty charge. During the summer and fall seasons, cancellations require three days' advance notice or there is a one-night penalty charge.
Check Acceptance Policy
The resort does not accept personal checks as payment.
Connecting Room Policy
We offer a connecting room option for some of our guest rooms, subject to availability on your arrival date.
Early Arrival Policy
Check-in time is 3pm. The resort will make reasonable efforts to accommodate early arrivals. Fees may apply; please contact the hotel for further information.
Late Checkout Policy
Late check-out may be possible, subject to room availablity, at a charge of $30 USD per additional hour.
Pet Policy
Dogs are welcome at the resort but are not permitted in the restaurants, bars, and other public areas. If a dog is in the guest room when housekeeping staff comes to clean, the owner must be present as well.
