ADA Policy

The hotel is compliant with ADA. ADA compliant guest rooms are available.

Alcohol Policy

Alcoholic beverage service is restricted to those 21 years or older (with valid identification).

Age Requirement Policy

Guests must be 21 years of age or older to reserve a guest room. We request that minors be accompanied by an adult.

Check Policy

We are pleased to accept corporate, institutional, or personal checks for advance deposits only. Checks need to be received by the resort at least two weeks prior to the arrival date.

Check cashing services are not available

Hurricane Policy

Should the Monroe County Emergency Management Office issue a Mandatory Evacuation for the city of Key West, the resort will require guests to check out and vacate the resort. In this event, no exceptions will be made and guests will not be required to pay for their unused nights at the resort. If no official evacuation order is issued and guests choose to evacuate, the guests will be responsible for the entire cost of their original stay.

Connecting Room Policy

The resort is pleased to offer a variety of connecting guest rooms for your convenience. All connecting guest rooms are on the first floor, are handicap accessible and offer a pool and garden view. Please make your request as early as possible to ensure availability.

Early Departure Policy

Early departures will result in a charge of full night's room and tax. If during a minimum stay requirement period, guests will be charged for the entire stay.

Early Arrival Policy

We are pleased to accommodate early arrival, subject to availability. Please make your request as early as possible to ensure availability. To guarantee early arrival, the room must be booked for the prior night.

Extra Bedding Policy

It is our pleasure to offer extra beds and bedding in guest rooms with king-size beds upon request.

Beach Access Policy

Access to the beach at Sunset Key Cottages, a Luxury Collection Resort is available for guests at The Westin Key West Resort & Marina. The number of passes is limited and they are sold on a first-come, first-served basis and may only be purchased same-day at the Concierge Desk. The cost is 20 USD for resort guests and 40 USD for non-resort guests. Advanced reservations are not available.

Gift Certificate Policy

We are happy to accept gift certificates and will do our best to accommodate guests' requested dates for redemption. However, requested dates will be subject to availability at the time of booking unless otherwise stated on the gift certificate. Please be advised that gift certificates are only valid for the dates listed and cannot be extended past their expiration date. Please provide your original gift certificate(s) at check-in.

We are also pleased to issue gift certificates for Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide at the resort.

ID Requirement

Guests are required to present valid government-issued photo identification at check-in.

Late Checkout Policy

The resort is pleased to accommodate late checkouts based upon availability. A full night's rate to be advised at the time of the request will be applied.

Meeting Room Policy

Please note that the resort does not permit outside vendors to provide food or beverages to any of our meeting facilities. We also ask that guests do not adhere decorations or any other items to meeting room walls.

Room Condition Policy

A damage recovery fee will be charged after check out if the room and/or its contents are damaged.

Package Handling Policy

We are happy to accept packages for guests of the resort. The applied handling fee is determined by the weight or size of the package. Handling fees will be applied to packages both being sent to the property and being sent from the property. Please contact Service Express® for additional information.

Pet Policy

The resort welcomes dogs up to 40 pounds and provides a Heavenly® Dog Bed, a food bowl and mat, and a “Dog in Room” sign. The resort also welcomes cats. Up to two pets are allowed per guest room. Please inform the staff prior to arrival that you will be traveling with a pet so that we may prepare your room.

No pet deposit is required, but a cleaning fee may be added if necessary. You will be asked to sign a waiver form at check-in. We kindly ask that all dogs be kept on leash when outside the room and be accompanied by their owner at all times. No pets may be left unattended in guest rooms or in any other area of the resort. If a pet is left unattended in a guest room and causes a noise disturbance, the resort will contact the guest and request that other arrangements, such as a boarding facility, be made for the duration of the stay. We do not permit pets in our dining or pool areas; service animals are permitted.

Credit/Debit Card Policy

Debit and Credit cards will be authorized at check-in for the amount of your stay, plus an amount to cover incidentals. The authorization will hold the funds until check out, at which time the amount actually incurred during the stay will be charged. Authorized amounts may take up to 30 days after departure to be released by your bank or financial institution and the hotel will not be responsible for any resulting fees or charges.

Payment Policy

The card holder must present the credit card at the time of check-in, along with the card holder's valid driver's license. This credit card must be valid for the entire stay.

Please note: If booking on behalf of someone else, the hotel must contacted directly to arrange for third-party billing at least three weeks prior to the arrival date.

Pool Policy

For safety reasons, coolers, ice chests, glass containers and outside food and beverages are not permitted in the pool area.

Purchase Order Acceptance Policy

We are unable to accept purchase orders as a form of payment. Guests must present a valid credit card upon check-in.

Resort Charge Policy

A daily 29 USD resort charge covers the following:

  • Unlimited local, and Toll-free phone calls
  • Wireless High Speed Internet Access
  • Lobby refreshments, including Starbucks® brewed coffee and fresh Florida orange juice in the morning and virgin Mojitos in the afternoon
  • In-room bottled water on arrival and at checkout
  • In-room coffee service
  • In-room safe
  • In-room umbrellas and ponchos for use during rain
  • Two bathrobes and matching slippers in all guest rooms
  • Pool towels for all watersports activities as needed
  • Poolside refreshments daily, including fresh fruit kabobs and popsicles, as well as iced towels and sunglass polishing
  • 24-hour access to the business center and the fitness center

Safety/Security Policy

Under state law, the resort is not responsible for loss unless articles are stored in safe deposit boxes located at the Front Desk.

Smoking Policy

In keeping with our Breathe Westin® initiative, all guest rooms and public spaces are 100% non-smoking. Please contact the hotel for more information.

Voucher Acceptance Policy

The resort reserves the right to accept or refuse vouchers. We request that you contact the Front Desk to verify a voucher's validity prior to arrival.

Waitlist Policy

The resort does not maintain a waitlist.
