S-Bahn Public Transportation - Main Route Closure
During the weekends in August and September 2013, the suburban train’s (S-Bahn) main route between Hirschgarten/Laim and Ostbahnhof will be closed. The closures will begin at 10:45pm on Fridays and last until 4:45am on Mondays. There will be bus replacement between every station to guarantee an uninterrupted connection.
During this time, we recommend using Lufthansa Airport Shuttle for transportation from Franz Josef Strauss Airport to the hotel. For more information, please contact the hotel directly.
Currency Fluctuations
For non-US hotels, rates confirmed in USD may be converted to local currency by the hotel at your time of stay, based on the exchange rate used by the hotel and are subject to exchange rate fluctuations. Credit card charges are subject to additional currency conversions by banks or credit card companies, which are not within the hotel's control and may impact the amount charged to your credit card. Disability Accessible Policy
All hotel facilities are accessible to guests with disabilities. Our restaurants and meeting rooms have no stairs. The Westin Executive Club Lounge is accessible via a separate elevator.
Disability Accessible Rooms are available upon request. For assistance, please contact the Front Office at (49) (89) 92640. Two wheelchairs are available on-site. Additional wheelchairs can be arranged through the concierge. Fees may apply.
Alcohol Policy
Alcoholic beverage service is restricted to those 18 years or older (with valid identification).
Age Requirement Policy
Guests must be 18 years or older with valid photo identification to check in. Acceptable forms include an ID card or passport. It is possible for parents to check-in for underage guests. Parents must inform our reception team by email at front.office.grandhotel@westin.com or by fax at (49)(89) 9264 869. Please include a copy of the parent's passport with a separate letter confirming check-in for the child or children.
Check Cashing Policy
No personal checks are accepted.
Connecting Room Policy
Connecting rooms can be requested but are not guaranteed. To request a room, please contact the hotel directly at (49)(89) 9264 8601.
Early Departure Policy
An early departure fee may be imposed on guests departing prior to their scheduled departure date. Fees depend on the booked rate's cancellation and deposit rules.
Transportation Policy
High-emission vehicles are no longer allowed to drive in the Munich city center, which has been established as a low emission zone, or Green Zone. It can only be accessed by cars displaying environmental badges on the front of the vehicle. (Note: the hotel is located outside the Green Zone.)
Foreign visitors can now obtain environmental badges for their cars and trucks online. By law, vehicles not displaying this badge may be fined.
Extra Bedding Policy
Children 12 and under sleep free in existing room bedding. Extra beds are available upon request for a daily fee.
A baby cot is available for free by request in all room categories. Please note that the hotel does not provide blankets, bumpers, or pillows with your crib. Please request the baby cot in the Special Request section when booking your reservation.
Family Plan Policy
Children who are 12 or younger sleep for free in the existing bedding of a room shared with a paying adult. Rollaways, child rollaways and cribs may incur extra charges.
Gift Certificate Policy
In order to redeem a gift certificate, please send a copy of the gift certificate to muenchen.reservation@arabellastarwood.com or fax it to (49)(89) 93001 6837.
Pet Policy
We welcome pets at The Westin Grand Munich. A pet waiver must be signed at check-in. Dogs carry a fee of 20 EUR and cats 10 EUR per day. Pets are not allowed in dining areas. Guests receive a special door hanger for their pets. If damage occurs to the guest room, extra charges apply. Dog-sitting can be arranged through our Concierge for 15 EUR per hour.
Credit/Debit Card Policy
Debit and Credit cards will be authorized at check-in for the amount of your stay, plus an amount to cover incidentals. The authorization will hold the funds until check out, at which time the amount actually incurred during the stay will be charged. Authorized amounts may take up to 30 days after departure to be released by your bank or financial institution and the hotel will not be responsible for any resulting fees or charges.
Payment Policy
The credit card used to make a reservation must be valid for the entire stay. Please present this credit card at the hotel upon check-in. If you are booking on behalf of someone else, you must contact the hotel directly to arrange for third party billing.
Smoking Policy
All public areas, restaurants, bars, and hotel floors are strictly non-smoking areas. We provide both smoking and non-smoking rooms.
