Rated 3 out of 5 by CGProds Great location, Outrageous Parking Prices
The Westin is conveniently located and is clean and well appointed. Unusually for a hotel of this size, I didn't get upgraded and there isn't a lounge which I found strange. Most problematic was the parking cost which was astronomical. And the difference between self-park and valet was negligible. They really need to sort out the parking price before I'd even consider visiting the hotel again.

The man who took our suit cases to our room when we checked in ( Husan ) was super. He helped us the whole time we were there and remembered our names each time he saw us. It felt like we were staying with friends

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mark34 Modern well-appointed hotel in Boston
The Westin Boston Waterfront is a modern, well-appointed hotel connected to the convention center by a sky bridge. The City Bar's great atmosphere makes it the place to meet for drinks after a long day. Another choice is the Birch Bar in the lobby. Keeps you in the middle of all the action in the hotel. Work out each day in a state-of-the-art fitness center before starting your busy day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Manju Great hotel and location
We recently were in Boston for a convention and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel staff from the front desk to the housekeepers was outstanding. the Concierge staff really went out of their way to make sure we had dinner reservations and a city tour. Great customer service!
When we checked in we asked about a room with a harbor view and OMG you should have seen our view. Be sure to ask....

Rated 2 out of 5 by dinah14 desk personnel make mistakes with credit card charges
The hotel personnel were nice. However there were no toiletries in the room. My husband paid for my night with his star points and today I see that the hotel decided to charge the room to my credit card without my authorization. This is not acceptable for a hotel of this calibre. As well, unlike other hotels we have stayed at there were no slippers so walking barefooted is the only option.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Unimpressed000 Unimpressed
I chose the Westin over my usual spot in Boston because they hosted the conference I was attending. When I arrived for the conference registration, the lobby was packed, so I waited until after 4pm to check in. I was told there were no rooms ready, but they'd call my cell when one was available. I finally couldn't wait any longer and went back to the desk about 7pm, when I was told my room was ready and they weren't sure why no one had called me - my cell phone number on file was correct.
I ordered room service for dinner one night - way more expensive than the competitor I usually stay with. Also, the main course was way over-salted.
After my room was cleaned the next morning, there was no floor mat in the bathroom. I put one of the towels on the floor, but it felt tacky to have to do that.
Overall, UNIMPRESSED compared to local competitors and less than I expected based on the look and price.

Just want you to know you have a valuable employee named Amber. She was genuinely friendly and helpful when she served us in the lobby bar. The following morning, there she was again seating us for breakfast. She remembered us and was very welcoming. We don't encounter genuine customer service very often anymore, but Amber is excellent and I hope you will recognize her for her service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SH65 Memorable Experience
It is a great hotel, outshoot other Westin. Staffs are helpful and attentive. They allowed us early check in and late chect out and splitting bills. The only "4" I gave for staff was because one day we run of shampoo as the housekeeping did not provide shampoo the day before and we (two adults) have to use leftovers in the morning. However, when we called, it was delivered immediately.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Kris10 Needs improvement
The room was only so-so for the quality I expect. Very thin walls, and a huge gap under the door to the hallway, so not very quiet. Also the staff nearly sent me in the opposite direction for a restaurant where I was meeting a group, and they could not properly direct me to a function in their own hotel where my group was meeting. They were very pleasant, just not very well informed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by julebaby16 It was nice
I have to say I had a horrible experience at a Starwood Hotel two weeks before & this was a much better experience. My one critique is that I have a hard time with paying to park your car......They charge you over $200.00 a night and then nail you for another $35.00 per day to park your car. That is OUTLANDISH.... Your paying to stay there,,,,Parking should be FREEEEEE. SHAME on them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by bouche29 This hotel was great value
Loved the beds, so heavenly. Best night sleep in months. Hotel is beautiful and facility is top notch including the Starbucks and Irish pub. Location is not ideal unless you are attending a convention as It is a long walk to everywhere but subway is close by but even that requires a few transfers to most places. Easy self park setup was also nice. (at a discounted fee to the valet)

Rated 4 out of 5 by bk89511 Help when needed
Wish I had the person's name that helped me out on changing a prepaid rate reservation. I was stranded night of booking and she changed to ffollowing day with early check-in. I was out a few hours later and really didn't need the room. But she made it possible to get the stay credit on what would have otherwise been a totally wasted $250.
So thanks for helping in a moment of need.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Boston2013 Westin... less than expected
I am not a frequent hotel goer, however I have stayed in a Westin previously and do not remember it being this average. My colleague stayed at another hotel, which was less expensive (in many aspects) and had better amenities. I will rethink staying in a Westin in the future.
Additionally, my cable died multiple times again not something I expect when staying in a Westin.

I was pleasantly reminded that all luxury hotels are not the same in terms of service, facilities and people, and that we need to revisit the Starwood partners, specifically the Westin. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay. Your people were the best; extremely courteous, friendly and responsive to our needs. There is no doubt where we'll be staying when in Boston!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Blythe50 Quick stop in Boston
We have stayed numerous times in Boston in different locations & hotels. We found this hotel to fit our needs during this visit with another couple. The location is great for having access to other parts of the town away from the Fanuil Hall location but near to the wonderful parks, restaurants & across from the Convention Center. Also, it has ease of access to the airport.

Rated 4 out of 5 by CP158 Being green
I opted to try to be green on this trip by putting out my hang tag indicating no cleaning services. I was quite surpised when the card was slipped under my door with a another card indicating that the program was not available. I was ok with this until I discovered 3 ther of my collegues did the same thing and were treated to the $5.00 Starbucks cards. Please be consistent!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Charlotte3691 A Little Disappointed....
Even though I had asked for a king bed, I ended up with 2 double beds. Who sleeps in a double bed? The room absolutely has enough room for queen size beds. I also stayed for 2 nights and on the second night after working a 12 hour day, I came back to the room to find that my room key would not work. Not that this is the end of the world but I do expect better from Westin.

grout needs cleaning. no fan in bathroom.
toilet wouldn't flush until after shower taken (?connection). Bed was wonderful.
iron didn't work. we were supposed to get private room for our dinner meeting (irish pub rest) and it was just a "space"...very noisy...couldn't have mtg. Took it downstairs after dinner and treated rudely by "security girl" who said "This cannot happen!! This is a fire hazard. Move your chairs back to where you found them!" No one had said anything to use before this (like "sorry, but you are sort of blocking a fire exit...would you please move over ____"). She just came out of the blue and acted ugly. We were a professional group of 40-60 year olds and should not have been treated like this. we had the bellperson keep our bags after we checked out and he had difficulty finding them...this needs to be better organized. In his defense there were alot of bags being stored. Concierge lady was nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JSarmy Wonderful room
Very happy with my room. Being there on St. Patrick's Day was a little loud about 2:30 a.m. with people running up and down the hall but I expected it. Room was very clean, view was beautiful. The bed was very extremely comfortable and I loved the neck pillow which I used for a knee pillow as I have recently had surgery and this was the best I slept since my surgery.

Rated 3 out of 5 by SStone Cleanliness
I was turned off by the dirty bathroom. The toilet seat was dirty and the shower had hair in it. The first day my husband noticed it and he immediately cleaned it since he had to use the bathroom asap. I briefly mentioned it to the front desk (after the fact). They offered to change rooms but there was no point then.
Otherwise everything else appeared clean...??

Rated 2 out of 5 by chandy weak link caused distress
While my stays at SPG hotels are typically above average, I was disappointed with two things at the Westin Waterfront: 1. pillows were old and uncomfortable, 2. (MOST IMPORTANT) the iron leaked "rusty water" all over my custom white dress shirt and, aside from ruining a very expensive item, caused distress in getting to and going into my critical job interview!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Charlie2694 A little disappointed
This year we opted for an upgrade, the room was no different then any other room we stayed in other then a distant view of the water. The outlet and light switch in the bathroom worked only when jiggled . The drapes were pinned up and had to be fixed daily by me. For the price I expected better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jonas Everything good, except internet not included
Can't believe that a hotel of this class (with prices accordingly) can not offer free unlimited internet in the rooms to all guests. It is ridiculous that it is not included in the price. This is something that only makes guests frustrated and angry! Shape up and get into the new decade!
Very expensive breakfast, maybe t was worth it, didn't want to try..

Rated 3 out of 5 by Gilligan Dogs spoil the hotel
Hotel was clean and location was good in the city. We stayed on the SPG floor 12. There were several people with small yelping dogs! We did not know the hotel allowed dogs until our arrival. It is hard to get a good nights sleep with dogs barking when you go to bed and wake up. We will never stay at this hotel again just for the fact that they allow dogs.

The Westin Seaport Boston made our Birthday Celebration one to remember. A "Welcome Greet" from the Valet and Front Desk started out weekend off to a great start. The hotel is walking distance to all the "outstanding" restaurants at the Seaport area. My husband and I plan to make this an "annual" trip. Thanks for making our stay so memorable.

Excellent 4 nights is this hotel.
Liked the "Green Option" of not using maid service each day and received $ 5.00 voucher x 3 days. Put it towards lunch one afternoon. Clever idea. My room was so clean I didn't need maid service.
Front desk hotel staff : "Elena and Orlando" phenomenal! Very welcoming to guests.
Food in MJ O'Connors Pub: delicious!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everyone was so wonderful and I liked talking to them about their passions. Their is one person I would like to thank in particular and, unfortunately, I met him on my last day as I was checking out. His name is Calvin and he was fabulous! He is a true asset to your organization! Pleas let him know he was appreciated.

Shuttles to and from the cruise ships and airport would be very much appreciated. Your room prices are quite expensive and I think that service would only make a small dent in your profit margin. Aside from that, we enjoyed our stay very much. We appreciated the early check in, the beautiful and quiet room and the courteous and very helpful staff.
